figured out why I have been doing so many quests lately. I have reached the point of diminishing returns with many of my skills, and quests often give me large chunks of experience in a short time. Right now, specifically, I am trying to raise my prayer, so I am doing those quests that walk-throughs say give me prayer experience.

So, looking at the list, and where I am on the map, I decide to do the Nature’s Spirit quest. This quest is fairly easy, not being all that long, or that hard, though it has a few dangerous parts. The more food you bring with you, the longer you will last on that first walkthrough of the Mort Myre Swamp.

So, in a fairly short time, I have gotten the items needed for the quest, and allowed the ghost to become a Nature Spirit. Then, I need to fill the druid pouch with Mort Myre Fungi, which doesn’t take too long, and bring it back. And done! That was easy, really. And some nice prayer out of it.

As a follow up, I am also slowly working my Slayer, and there is a quest that boosts that, ‘Wanted!’. However, I have to do the Recruitment drive first. So, I know which city I will be heading for now. Got some knights to chase down. Tell you all about it later!

 

had recently finished the Nature Sopirit quest, and went back to Falador. I did the Recruitment Drive quest, and boy was I glad of walk-throughs. I got one of the hardest tests, and the walk-through allowed me to do it. Otherwise I might still be there! Trying to figure out what all those chemicals are supposed to do was tough.

After Recruitment Drive, I did the Wanted! one. This one used up many of my Law runes, which I had spent a lot of money to refurnish. I was teleporting all around the landscape trying to keep up with the bad guy. While doing this, I also started the Zamorak Mage mini-quest, that will let you enter the Abyss. I finally got to the Bad guy in the Wizard’s tower, and then in the rune essence mine. Actually beating him was disgustingly easy. I even took time out from the battle to bury all the bones of the other attack team.

As a result of that quest, I jumped 2 whole levels of Slayer! Still not where I want to be, but it got me a lot closer. Then, I went back to Morytania and did the Ghosts Ahoy quest. This one I wanted to do, as it will allow me to increase the gain from bones. Also, I had been saving Big Bones for a while, and had over a hundred still in my bank!

I followed a walkthrough, and still kept making mistakes! I had to go in and out of the gate an extra 10 times or so. Still, I did finally succeed, and finished the quest. I then bought about 100 buckets, and 100 pots. I filled 80 of the buckets with the slime, and banked them. Then, I filled about 50 of the pots with bonemeal. I went to the ectofuntus with 14 of each, and tried it out. It worked great! – for the first 12. Then, the Ectofuntus said it was full. Rather than waiting around to see if it would clear up, I decided to teleport out. So, I still have those buckets and bones in my bank for the future.

 

had finished the Ghosts Ahoy quest. What to do, what to do? Well, my lowest skill is Farming, an embaressing 2! So, I check to see what quests might raise it. There are a few that do give benefits to farming, but most actually REQUIRE that you have some farming experience. There is one, however. . .

A Fairy Tale, Pt. 1. With a name like that, you know that there are going to be more in the sequence. But, it is the only one so far. The requirements for it are that you have to have done the Lost City quest [I did that a lone time ago], and the Nature Spirit quest [for that, look down a couple of articles]. No problem, then.

So, I start the quest, talking to the various farmers around runescape [and getting a bit of farming experience along the way]. Then, I proceeded down to Zanaris, and talked to the new Fairy Godfather. An – interesting – person.

The next part is to get my Secatuers [which I had bought many moons ago, and banked] made into magic by the Nature Spirit. This took no time at all – okay, it took about 20 minutes to teleport, then walk to the Nature Grotto.

After this, it was easy to get back to Zanaris, and prepare for battle. It actually took me longer to FIND the Tanglefoot than to actually beat him. And I have to say, Protect From Melee rocks!! I took all of 2 damage from the Tanglefoot, when my melee ran out.

I actually took more damage from the baby Tanglefoots [Tanglefeet?] on the way out, than the Tanglefoot itself gave me.

As the reward, I got a whole chunk of Farming experience! Remember how I started at level 2? Well, I am now level 19! Plus a little bit to my magic and attack. All-in-all, a good quest. Not too difficult, and a good reward! Well, back to the ‘scape, got to see what I can do next.
