You know me, I love usability! For all those who enjoy using our Runescape Price Guide for your trades, we have a special addition to announce!
After a while sitting dormant (because I didn’t know how to code it, heh), the idea of adding a calculator to the price guide was brought up and amazingly completed! After a few hours of effort from W13, the Runescape Price Guide now has a small javascript calculator beside each item (only within the category groupings, however).Within this text box you can enter amounts with 1 being the default value showing the price ranges for that item. The calculator will reject all text other than numbers, decimal points and the special operators “k” and “m” (case in-sensitive). Further examples of this are shown in the image above. The value is found by multiplying your input by the current average of the Runescape market price shown by default. This means that the value that is calculated is the average price you should expect to trade for.
I’ve also tidied up a bit of the code and disabled two of the queries that were being run to help reduce server load (equates to a reduction of about 90 queries the server has to run per second). Finally, I’ve also added the link to the Runescape Items Database on the search results page
