GRIM TALES QUEST WALKTHROUGH
Talk to Sylas in Taverley. After a long talk about beans he will tell you to bring him a feather from a Griffin named Grimgnash on White Wolf mountain. Head to the north-east part of White Wolf Mountain and talk to Grimgnash. Be careful not to anger him as he will hit you and deal a lot of damage. Tell him about death and destruction. Once he is asleep go ahead and grab a feather from the pile. Now return to Sylas.
Sylas will take the feather and tell you to get Rupert the Beard’s Helmet. Ask him about it and he will tell you that Rupert lives in a house between Goblin Village and Ice Mountain. Once you get there, climb over the small wall and talk through the drain pipe. Rupert will talk back. Talk again and he will tell you to climb up. Now climb up on his beard to the top floor. Talk to him yet again, and he will tell you to talk to the princess.

Go down to the north side of the building and talk to Miarzrqa. Say “Second cousin twice removed” to get the conversation going. She will ask you to get her pendant and she will give you a key.

Head to the Witch’s house back in Taverley. Enter and go down to the basement. Then go through the gate with your leather gloves on. Search the music stand to get the music sheet. Play the notes from the sheet on the piano and the compartment will open. The notes are: E-F-E-D-C-A-E-G-A. The higher the note on the sheet music (denoted as upper) are further to the right and the lower notes (lower) are more to the left. Once you search the compartment you will get a “Shrinking recipe,” a “To-do list,” and two “Shrunk Ogleroots,” Make two “Shrink-me-quick” potions by following the directions from the “Shrinking recipe.”

Go to the mouse hole and drink a “Shrink-me-quick” potion. You will instantly go through the hole. Follow the path and before the end go up the nails. Go south-west and and climb up these nails also. Turn around and go up more nails. Now follow the path north-east and climb up some more nails. Go north a little and down these nails and take the pendant. Now head back to the Miarzrqa and give her the pendant. She will release Rupert who will give you his helmet. Now head back to Sylas.

Give Sylas the helmet and he will give you some magic beans. After a talk, where he wants you to get him a golden goblin, go south-east to the magic bean patch and plant them. After you water the beans, a beanstalk will appear. Climb up the beanstalk and kill Glod (Level 138). Beware, however, as he can drain your prayer. After you kill him he will drop two big bones, an uncut ruby, an uncut sapphire, a watering can (4) and a golden goblin. Take the goblin back to Sylas who tells you to cut down the beanstalk. Go back to the beanstalk and use the “Shrink-me-quick” potion on it. Use your axe to cut down the beanstalk. Go back to Sylas one more time to receive your reward.

THE GREAT BRAIN ROBBERY QUEST WALKTHROUGH
Speak to Brother Tranquility on Mos Le’harmless. He will ask you to help him fend off some zombie pirates. Agree to help him and he will teleport you to an island called Harmony where he, other zombie monks, and zombie pirates reside. For future teleports, right click Brother Tranquility and select “teleport.” Go to the Saradomin statue, north of the granary you were teleported to. Zombie Pirates will be all over the island. Pull the statue aside to reveal a hole and climb down. You will see some stairs that lead into the water. Go down these. You will need your diving apparatus and helmet equipped. Once you are in the tunnel, run through more zombie pirates to the end of it where you will see some damaged stairs. Repair them. You will need 10 nails (bring extra just in case), a hammer, and 4 normal planks. Climb up the reparied stairs and you will find yourself in a room with bookcases. Use the option “Peep Through Peephole.” You will find out the Zombie Pirates are planning on knocking out the monks with sleeping gas. Report back to Brother Tranquility.
Tell Brother Tranquility the plot and he will send you to collect a prayer book from Edgeville Monastary. You will be teleported back to Mos Le’harmless. Go to the monastery and search the bookcase on the left side of the building. You will find the book of prayers. Read the book to find how to cure the monk’s disease. Pick the item asked by the book. It will be either Cabbage or Holy symbol. To get the cabbage, go south to the entrance of the mountain and then go northeast. Pick a head of cabbage in the patch north of the monastary. To get a holy symbol, go to Crafting Guild, mine silver, pick up the Holy mould (1st floor), smelt, complete with a ball of wool and have it blessed by the head monk in the monastary.

Return to Brother Tranquility who will teleport you back to Harmony and ask you to recite the prayer. Talk to Brother Tranquility again. He will ask you to bring Dr. Fenkenstrain to help them get their brains back. Go to Dr. Fenkenstrain in his castle. He is at the top of the central tower. You will ask him to help get the monks’ brains back. He will be scared to pass the werewolves, so you must find another way to get him to Harmony. He will tell you to talk to Rufus, the shopkeeper of the food shop in Canifis, and arrange for him to be shipped over to Harmony in a crate.

Go to Rufus with your Ring of Charos equipped. Ask him about the shipping order and he will say he wants cats in the crate and that they must be inspected. You will be given a wolf whistle to blow once you have made the crates and you will need to make some fake cats out of planks and fur, made on the craft bench in your or your friend’s house. Get your fake cats and crate part and build the crates on the ghost crate image next to Fenkenstrain in the tower. You will need all 6 crate parts, a hammer, and 20 nails. You will need to add a false bottom to the crate for the Fenksentrain to hide under; this requires 4 normal planks and 8 nails. Next fill the crate with your 10 fake cats. After that, you will need to blow your whistler and Rufus will appear and inspect the crate. After he leaves, he will give you a receipt. When he does this, you need to use it on the crate and the crate will teleport. Once the crate and the doctor have been moved, you will need to go back to Harmony and talk to Dr. Fenkenstrain. He will ask you to get some items for him. The items are: Cranial Clamp, Pair of Brain Tongs, Three bell jars, at least 30 skull staples, and a Hammer.

To get the items he asks for, you will need to go to the church north of where Brother Tranquility is. You will find the door to be blocked, so you need to go and get a powder keg, fuse, and a tinderbox from the ghost ship north of the church. Search the locker to get the fuse, go up the ladder and get a tinderbox. Finally, go and get a keg from the top deck of the ghost ship. When you have these three items, go back to the blockaded door of the church and use the keg on the door, then the fuse, and finally use the tinderbox on the fuse to destroy the door. Kill the Sorebones (Level 57) to get all of the items you need except for the hammer.

Once you have all of the items the doctor asked for, go back and talk to Dr. Fenkenstrain and he will perform the operation right then. Now that they are back to normal, talk to Brother Tranquility and he will tell you to confront Mi-Gor who is in the church north of where you are now. Now that you are ready for the final battle, go back to the church and confront Mi-Gor and his bodyguard Barrelchest (Level 190) will appear and attack you. Once he is dead, he will drop a broken barrelchest anchor which can be made into a weapon. Once you have confronted Mi-Gor and killed his bodyguard, return to Brother Tranquility and tell him that Mi-Gor has fled for your reward.

Walk across the bridges and you’ll end up on the largest of the two islands, go to the house and up the ladder. Talk to the gnome Hazelmere, he’ll just say “blah, blah, blah” use the book to translate, and you will find out that he said. A man will come up to you with the king’s seal, give the man Darconia Rocks, and Darconia Rocks will kill the tree. Now go all the way back to the Gnome Stronghold.
King Narnode Shareen: Talk to him. Choose the option ‘None of these’ until you see the first part of the translation, click it, do the same with the second and third sentences. The King then tells you to go to speak to Glough. He is south-east of the Grand Tree, go up the ladders around there until you find him.
Glough: Talk to Glough, he’ll basically tell you off, so just talk to him and go back to the King. Talk to the King, and then go up to the top level of the grand tree, and talk with Charlie there, before going back to Glough’s House.

Then speak to him and he will call his guards to lock you up in jail, but don’t worry, the King will come and rescue you. After your chat with the King, talk to Charlie. He tells you about the shipyard in Brimhaven. Now talk to the Gnome pilot, and choose to fly to Karamja. You crash land in the Karamja Jungle. From the crash site go south-east until you reach a gate. Attempt to open the gate and the guard stops you and asks what you’re doing. Tell him that Glough has sent you and then give him the pass, “Ka-Lu-Min.” Find the foreman and talk with him.
Foreman: He will ask you to go to his office, once you’re there answer his questions. It doesn’t matter if you answer the questions right, if you don’t you’ll just have to fight him. After you’ve talked with him, go back to the Gnome Stronghold.
Femi: Once you reach the gate of the stronghold try to walk through it. The guards won’t let you. There’s a Gnome with a cart named “Femi” talk to her and she’ll let you hide in her cart. Once inside the Stronghold just go to the King and talk to him.
King: The King tells you to leave because everyone is paranoid, don’t. Climb the ladders to the top and talk to Charlie again. He’ll tell you about a chest in Glough’s house. But in order to get the key you need to go to Glough’s girlfriend’s house, where he left the key. She lives west of the Swamp, the second ladder west.
Anita: Speak to Anita and she gives you the key for the chest. Go to Glough’s house again and open the chest. Then go back and talk to the King. The king will tell you that he had guards search the house and found nothing suspicious except some twigs. The king gives them to you (keep these twigs as you will need them).
Get ready for your fight with the demon. You can either use armour and weapons, or magic. Remember to have 4 slots open for the twigs.
4 twigs: Go back to Glough’s House. Use the twigs on the Pillar’s in this order:
T = First on the left.
U = Second from the left.
Z = Third from the left.
O = Most right one.
Open the trap door and climb down. Glough will walk to you and walk a bit, then he’ll call fourth his demon. You must fight and kill the demon.
King Narnode Shareen: Once you have killed the demon, walk through the cave until you see the King and then talk to him. He’ll tell you to search the roots for the Daconian stone, once you’ve found it, talk with him again.

Walk to Port Sarim, and then further south to find a house just west of the dungeon. Talk to the dwarf, and he’ll say how he loves redberrie pie. Offer him one, talk to him again and says he needs an iron bar to fix the axe. Give him an iron bar and he will fix the axe. Go back to Keldagrim. Talk to the sculptor who sends you to his model. Once you have the book get your coal ore, log, tinderbox and the money from the bank, and ask Vermundi about the special clothes once again and she will take the designs. She will need some help with her spinning machine, so use your log or coal on it then use your tinderbox on it. Talk to Vermundi about the special clothes again. Pay her the 200gp and she gives you the clothes. Take them back to the sculptor who will once again tell you to take them to his model. Walk to the south west part of Keldagrim to the shield shop and talk to a man named Saro. Ask him about some special boots. He will tell you that he sold the special boots to a man named Dromund. Quest points gained: 2.
Required Quests: Restless Ghost Quest and the Priest in Peril Quest.
Required Skills: Must be able to defeat a level 32 giant lobster, level 25 agility, level 20 cooking.
Required Items: 100 coins, a weapon, 7 pots, 7 buckets, spade, silk, needle, thread, knife, Amulet of Ghostspeak, any kind of gloves, oak longbow, bowl of water, 7 bones (can be obtained during quest), dyes, 33 ecto-tokens (obtained during quest).
Monsters: Giant lobster (level 32).
NPC: Velorina (main quest npc), Old crone, Necrovarus, Ghost Disciple, Gravingas.

GHOST AHOY QUEST WALKTHROUGH
Items for this part: 7 Buckets, 7 pots, 7 bones, Amulet of Ghostspeak.
To reach Velorina: To start off, take a pot, some bones or a weapon (level 3 chickens there), some buckets (can be done with 1 but need a lot more walking then) and an Amulet of Ghostspeak with you. Try to continue wearing this amulet the entire quest since it’s needed to talk to a lot of ghosts. If you ever get a ghost replying “woo woo woo” you’re not wearing it.
Through the haunted woods: You’ll have to go through the haunted woods. If you’re afraid of the vampires in the haunted woods take some food or just run from them. You don’t need to take other stuff since you will be able to use a bank soon. Go trough the haunted woods east of Canifis, you will find a ghost city here. At the north side of it, you will find a tower, with inside a Necrovarus and 2 disciples.
Ectoplasm: To the west is a ladder going down. Go down it and then to the opposite side. You’ll find some stairs going down again. Keep doing this a few times until you find yourself in front of a pool of slime. Use your buckets on it. Go all the way back up.
Bonemeal: Take some bones upstairs. If you don’t have any, go to the north-west to find a farm with dead chickens and dead cows to get some bones from them. Use your bones on the bone-grinder to the north. Now left-click it again to spin it’s wheel. After this, use your pot on it.
Ecto-tokens: Go back to the strange ectofunctus structure in the middle and left click it to worship it. Do this as many times as you wish before talking to the disciple and he will keep track of how many tokens to give you. You will get 5 tokens for each Ectoplasm + Bonemeal combination. Make sure you wear your Amulet of Ghostspeak when talking to him. You will need 33 ecto-tokens for the entire quest. Now you can go inside the city to the south. It will cost you 2 tokens.
Velorina: Once inside you will be able to start the quest at the quest point on your map by talking to Velorina. Again make sure you wear your Amulet of Ghostspeak. You can either reply that you know the story of the city or if you are interested reply you don’t know it and read a (quite long) story. Offer to help her with her problem. You have now started the quest. If you are in need of a bank you will have to head south from the quest start.
The plead: Go back to the temple and talk to Necrovarus there. He will get upset that you talked to Velorina and threaten you. Since Velorina did mention another possibility, go back to her. You will have to pay another 2 ecto-tokens.
The refusal: Velorina will tell you about an old friend of hers who was once a disciple of Necrovarus but walked away. This was before they all died. You will have to go and find her. You can take all the stuff needed for this part from the bank now, or later at Canifis, which is a little further, but lighter if you intend to run.
Items for this part: Gloves, bowl of water, bucket of milk.
The old crone: The woman is located in a small wooden house, next to the slayer castle, north from the Canifis slayer master. She will tell you that she can’t remember a thing at her age, but maybe some nettle tea will refresh her memory. Go to a nettle plant, these are located a little bit east from the slayer master. Make sure you are wearing gloves when you try to pick them, otherwise you’ll get stung. Now use the nettle with a filled bowl of water and then on a fire. You’ll get nettle tea.
Her own cup: Go back to the old lady, she will not be satisfied. She wants the tea out of her own cup where she always drinks from and she will hand over this cup to you. Now use your nettle tea with the special cup. Make sure you have your bucket of milk. She drinks her nettle tea with milk, so use the bucket on the cup. Wear your Amulet of Ghostspeak again. Now she will accept it and tell you that there is a spell to expand your Amulet of Ghostspeak to make it so you can control ghosts. It can only be used once though. She will tell you that she needs 3 items for this part, the book of Haricanto, the Robes of Necrovarus and a translation manual.
Items for this part: Silk, needle, thread, knife, dyes. Take whatever you need to kill a level 32, 29 ecto-tokens, spade, oak longbow. You can leave the spade, longbow and 25 of the tokens in your bank.
The first map piece: To start off, talk to the old woman again and tell her that she’s done so much and that you would like to do something in return. She will tell you about her son that’s missing and give you a model boat. Now you’ll need to use a piece of silk with the boat while the needle, treat and knife are in your inventory. You will make a sail. Now go to the east of the old lady’s shack, past the castle for the Fenkenstrain quest and further on until you find a broken down pirate ship. It’s north west of the farm with dead cows. Enter the boat and go up one of the ladders, to the south side of the boat you will find another ladder, go up again. You will have to search the mast there during low wind to find out what colour the bottom, the skull and the top of the sail have. You might want to take a note of the 3 colours. Paint the model boat flag in the exact same colours by using dye on it, then selecting what part you want to paint. To get the colours purple, orange and green, use the dyes with each other: red + yellow = orange, blue + red = purple, blue + yellow = green. After this, go down 1 ladder and talk to the boy there. Ask him if it’s his model ship. He will tell you yes and give you a key in return. You can open the chest in the room next to him with the castle to get a map piece.
The second map piece: Now go to the west side of the ship and look for a plank. Walk over it and you’ll be outside on a rock. Press the “jump rock” option on the rock where you are standing on, then when you’ve walked there, press jump rock on the rock you want to jump to. Keep doing this until you reach the end. It will take about 5% energy for each jump so try to set your movement to walk. At the end you’ll find a chest with another map piece. Now head back to the ship the same way you came.
The third map piece: Go to the lowest floor of the ship and search the open chests here. You won’t need another key. You will be attacked by a giant lobster. Kill it and search the chest again. Use the map pieces on each other to complete the map.
Dragontooth island: Now go back into the ghost-city with the map. Take your spade from the bank, keep the map and take 25 ecto-tokens. Go to the east to find a small rowing boat. Talk to the captain and take a trip to Dragontooth island. On here, you will see a statue. Start west of it next to it’s arm, from here follow the instructions on your map. It has changed now that you’re on Dragontooth island and will make more sense. Start next to the pointing hand of the statue and go 6 steps South, 8 steps East, 2 steps North, 22 steps South. Dig here to get the book.
Items for this part: About 100 coins.
Runedraw: Now go back with the rowing boat. A little to the west, still at the docks you’ll find a trader from the east, he’s human. Talk to him and ask him for the translation manual. He will ask you to get a oak longbow signed by Robin. Go to Robin who is inside the inn you’re next to. Win 4 rounds of the game Runedraw so he will owe you 100gp. To pay off his debt he will sign your bow. Take it back to the trader for the manual.
The bedsheet: Now go to the innkeeper and ask him if he has any jobs for you. He will give you a bedsheet to take to Robin, keep it instead. Go back outside and to the slime where you filled your buckets. (You can’t go outside while wearing the bedsheet so keep it in your inventory). Use the bedsheet on it.
The petition: Back inside the town talk to Gravingas. He will ask you to get a petition signed with 10 signatures. Now wear your green bedsheet or the villagers will tell you they don’t trust you that a human wants to help them. Talk to the villagers to get 10 signatures, you can do the same villager as many times as you want, as long as you do another one in-between. There is also one that sells you his signature for one ecto-token. When you have 10 signed, go back to Necrovarus. He will get upset and in his anger he will drop a key. Take the key upstairs and use it on the door to the south. Open and search the coffin to get the robes.
Controlling Necrovarus: Now take the manual, book and robes to the old lady. She will enchant your Amulet of Ghostspeak with one charge. It will turn green. Now go back to Necrovarus. Make sure you kill any vampire attacking you since you’ll need to finish the conversation, you only get one shot at this or you’ll have to go back to talk to the old lady. Talk to him while wearing the green amulet, tell him the most upper option, now just quickly press continue until the conversation ends. Go back into the town and talk to Velorina. The quest is now complete.

Choose: If I do I will let you know.
Answering the questions will allow you to get your ring of charos enchanted. You can now set off to get those seeds.
Note: While waiting for your plants to grow, feel free to talk to another target on your list to make things go faster. Be careful not to destroy all your seeds.
Delphiniumns: Items needed for this part: 1 marigold seed and farming equipment. Go to Falador. Go south to the farming patch. Speak with Elstan and ask “Do you have any Delphinium seeds to spare”, then use all the options marked with (Charm) until he will say he will give them to you in exchange for marigolds. Grow them and give them to him and you will get the seeds.

Agree and grow them.

Offer to help in exchange for the Burthorpe vines, using all the charm options along the way. Try using your plant cure and you will find it has no effect. Speak to Bernald again and he will tell you of someone who might have a stronger cure. Go south to Taverly and speak with Alain the druid gardener. He is located right against the wall by the tree patch. Ask about the strong plant cure. Don’t use the charm options, it has no effect on the druid. He will tell you to grind a rune essence up and use it on a regular plant cure. Break up the rune stone first with your hammer or chisel, then grind it with the pestle and mortar. Use it with the plant cure and then go cure the vines. You will now get the Burthorpe Vine seeds.

He will tell you that you can get the ring back using a hook and pole, but is glad that you parted with the ring. He will allow you to take seeds from all his rosebuds. Grab one from each type of rose. Alternatively, you can right-click on the ring and choose the “destroy” option. Afterwards you will have to go pick-pocket Dr. Fenkenstrain to get it back.
Regaining the Ring of Charos: Use a fly fishing rod or a normal fishing rod on the well and proceed to Catherby. This can take several tries. Or pick-pocket Dr. Fenkenstrain if you chose the destroy method.
Items for this part: Camelot teleport runes, ring of charos, farming equipment. Head southeast to the Catherby allotments. Speak with Dantaera. Once again use your charm options. She will tell you of the last, dying white tree on Ice Mountian. You will need to cut a shoot from it. Teleport to Falador and walk to white mountain. The white tree is right by the Oracle from the Dragon Slayer quest. Use your secateurs to cut a sapling from the tree and use it with the pot. Do not forget to water it. Plant all your seeds in their corresponding spots. You will need to use compost in the stone pots. The rest of the plots require no compost or water. When finished, speak with the queen and ask how you are going to move all the statues. She will give you a trolley which you must gruellingly push from both Falador and Lumbridge. Go to Falador and use the trolley on the statue in the town centre. After a brief cut-scene, push the trolley north. Once you exit Falador you will be teleported to Varrock. Push the statue all the way to the garden. Teleport to Lumbridge and go to the front of the duke’s castle. (It is the one on the left, remember you want a “king”) Push it across the bridge that leads to the road to Varrock and you will be teleported to Varrock. Push the statue to the garden and place it then speak to Ellamaria. Do not take too long in the statue stealing process. If your time is excessive the guards will find you and take the statue back leaving you to start all over again. Once all of the plants are finished growing, speak to Ellamaria. Retrieve her husband by using the charm options to get him to come to his garden. This completes the quest.
