Sardines sell for about 28 coins each if raw, and around 14 coins when cooked. These can be fished from the Catherby shore, the southern shore of Al-Kharid, and Draynor Village.
1***** level 10 Herring sells for about 40 coins each if raw, and around 20 coins when cooked. However while fishing these sardines are also caught, worth half as much. These are fished in the same spots as sardines.
2***** Level 15 Catch anchovies in the same spot as herring and sardine with a small net. Anchovies sell for about 45 coins each, while the cooked versions sell for 65 coins each. Shrimp is adviseably dropped being worth much less than anchovies.
2***** Level 35 Tuna can be caught at level 35 fishing in either Catherby or the Fishing Guild. . They sell for 148 when cooked, and 161 when raw. Also the higher your agility the more chance you have of catching two Tuna at a time.
3***** Level 38 At this level, cave eel are caught in the same spots as slimy eel. Raw cave eels sell for 503 coins each, while cooked they sell for 239.
2***** Level 40 Fishing lobsters is a popular way to make money for both free-to-play members and lower level pay-to-play members. There are two popular places to catch them; Karamja or Catherby. Caught at Karamja, bank is quick in TzHaar city, caught in Catherby, Catherby bank is close. One other place is Jatizso. You need to start The Fremennik Isles quest but it is really close to a bank and is most of the time unpopulated.
3***** Level 50 At this level Swordfish may be caught and sold for 499 when cooked and 499 when raw. Tuna, however, is caught with them. Locations include Catherby, Fishing Guild, or Jatizso(completion of The Fremennik Trials required) Also the higher your agility the more chance you have of catching two swordfish at a time.
3***** Level 62
Monkfish are found at the Piscatoris Fishing Colony. They tend to be caught faster than sharks, even at high levels, and sell for around 514 coins each when raw, and about 502 coins when cooked. In an hour, 250-320 monkfish are caught, depending on Fishing level. See this monkfish analysis for a breakdown of efficiency. Swan Song completed
3***** Level 65 At this level Raw karambwan may be fished, which are worth 898 coins each. Keep in mind that the Karambwan will sometimes steal the bait from the vessel. If this happens often, it lowers profit. Tai Bwo Wannai Trio completed
4***** Level 76
At this level sharks may be fished. Sharks are caught fairly slowly even at high levels, so it is advisable not to fish them with a fishing level lower than about 80. Raw sharks sell for around 1,319 coins each, and cooked sharks fetch for about 1,377 coins each. At 95+ Fishing 1,000 sharks are caught in 7 hours or less; on average, only about 150 sharks can be caught in an hour, even with 99 fishing. It is still arguable that this is the best conventional method of making money by fishing except possibly Rocktail fishing. Also the higher your agility the more chance you have of catching two sharks at a time. 80 Cooking (optional)
5***** Level 81+
The Fishing Trawler minigame provides Manta rays and/or sea turtles from level 81 if the boat lasts 10 minutes without sinking. Unlike other fish, cooked sea turtles and manta rays fetch higher prices than their raw counterparts. Cooked manta rays can sell for about 3,636 coins each while cooked sea turtles sell for about 3,844 coins. If the boat doesn’t sink, normally approximately 20 manta rays are acquired, leading to 60,000gp every 10 minutes. This is only if the player is with a good team, the boat not sinking. 91 cooking (optional)

To catch this fish, you will need normal fishing bait and good armour to defend yourself from aggressive high-level rock creatures. A raw cavefish has a market price of 1478 gold pieces and a cooked cavefish sells for 1577 gold pieces. You can gain 40,000-50,000 experience per hour fishing Cavefish and 150,000-200,000 cash.

Level 90 Just like Cavefish, you can catch another high levelled fish in the Living Rock Caverns - Rocktail. To catch this fish, you will need some bait called Living Minerals. The market price of living minerals is currently 503gp (3 May 2010). Again, you will need some good armour to defend yourself from the aggressive living rock creatures. The market price for raw rocktail is 2921gp and the price for cooked rocktail is 3005gp. This is much faster experience per hour than lobsters and monkfish, reaching to 60,000 xp/h maximum. You are able to make over 250,000 gold pieces per hour using this method.

Members Firemaking money making guide

Posted by: runescape  //  Category: Beginners' Guide

In some locations where fires are helpful but hard to come by, you can “sell” fires to the players there by bringing a tinderbox and some logs and offering to light a fire for a fee. A common location for this is the fishing spot at Musa Point on Karamja Island in free-to-play worlds, where few regular trees are found and there is no nearby bank.
2***** Level 5 Cremating shades in the Shades of Mort’ton minigame not only gives Firemaking experience, but may also yield keys that can be used to get access to many valuable items. These include fine cloth, which sells for 11,300 coins and is used in making splitbark armour. Players with higher level Firemaking can make better profit from this as the higher level shades and pyre logs yield better rewards. Fiyr shades yield rune armour and weapons as well as occasional Level 3 clue scrolls. 40 combat, Shades of Mort’ton quest
3***** Level 40 Kill vyrewatches and cremate their corpses (see the Shades of Mort’ton article to learn how to do so). They can only be cremated with teak pyre logs or higher, but cremating vyre corpses yields a Columbarium key, which can be used to get access to many valuable items in the Columbarium, including trimmed rune armour, snapdragon seeds and more.

Money making guide with Crafting in Runescape

Posted by: runescape  //  Category: Beginners' Guide
Effectiveness Crafting Level Requirement Details Other Requirements
3***** Level 1 Buy cowhides from the Grand Exchange (for 210 coins each) and tan them into soft leather (which sells for 279 coins each) or hard leather (which sells for 298 coins each). You can also kill cows and gather the hides yourself instead of buying them.
3***** Level 8 Buy gold bars from the Grand Exchange. Teleport to Falador, and smelt all those bars into amulets. Then teleport back to Varrock and sell the amulets. This method is about 2 times faster than Flax, and it earns 2 times the Experience as well. Doing this earns about 100 gold profit per bar.

Level 10 If you pick Flax from places such as Seers’ Village or Lletya, and spin the collected Flax into bow strings, you can sell the bow strings for 190 coins each. Some good places to spin them would be in Lumbridge Castle or Neitiznot (requires The Fremennik Isles), as a bank isn’t too far away from the spinning wheels in either of those locations. There is also a spinning wheel on the second floor of a house in Seers’ Village which some players use to spin their Flax on the way to the bank. Another place to craft bowstrings is in the Tree Gnome Stronghold. Several Flax fields, three spinning wheels, and a bank are all in close proximity in the south-east corner of the stronghold. Spinning Flax while wearing the Seer’s Village headband will make the wheel spin your Flax faster.
3***** A faster method is to buy the Flax for 112 coins each which makes 78 coins per bowstring. If you wanted to make large amounts of money from using this method, you would need to have around 10,000 of bow strings. You can spin about 1,200 Flax an hour if you buy the Flax, and you spin at Lumbridge Castle. There’s a wheel on the second floor and a bank at the 3rd floor.
3***** Level 25 Sanctify Olive oil(3) in the Shades of Mort’ton (minigame) to make Sacred oil (3) by repairing the temple there. Approximately 4 Timber beams, 4 Limestones, 20 Swamp pastes, and 36 Olive oil(3)s will produce 36 Sacred oil (3)s every 10 minutes if a Spirit terrorbird is used to assist in making trips to the bank in Burgh de Rott for a net profit of roughly 395,592 coins per hour. Note that all ingredients except for Swamp paste should be bought from Razmire who is located close to the temple. Sacred oil (3) is in demand both from players wishing to play the Shades of Mort’ton (minigame) as well as to cremate Vyre corpses, but may not sell very fast. Shades of Mort’ton and In Aid of the Myreque quests
1***** Level 42 Players can buy seaweed and cook them, then fill buckets with sand. Use this on a furnace together and you’ll get molten glass. You can sell molten glass for roughly 500 GP each
3***** Level 66 Players can make Air battlestaffs and sell them on the GE where there is a high demand for them for magic training or cast high alchemy on them yourself for a slightly less profit. These staffs high alchemise for 9,300 GP each. Buying the staffs from Zaff in Varrock rather than the GE is one of the 2 profitable method and he will sell them to you at a cost of 7,000 GP each rather than the 8,506 at the Grand Exchange. Zaff has a limited amount available per day, although this limit increases with the levels you complete for the Varrock Achievement Diary (Level 1 - 16 staffs per day; Level 2 - 32 staffs per day; Level 3 - 64 staffs per day). You can buy the air orbs from the GE for 1,073 each, attach them to the battlestaff, and sell them at market value on the GE for a profit of 973 each. At 16 staffs per day you make 15,568, for 32 it’s 31,136 and for 64 it’s 62,272 for 5–10 minutes work at the most. The second option is to buy Unpowered orbs and Cosmic runes ( 3 needed per orb) and to make the orbs at the air altar. This way you can buy for every 64 Battlestaves you buy at Zaff, buy another 500 Battlestaves of the GE and still make a little profit. If you use this way without buying from the GE (so only the staffs of Zaff) you can make a much larger profit per staff. Go here to see the information about the other elemental battlestaves and find the optimal method that works for you. Effectiveness increases as you complete the Varrock Diaries.
3***** Level 85 You can make clockwork cats by using a plank (189 coins each) and steel bar (941 coins each) with a Crafting Table 4 of a player-owned house. If the materials are bought you can make a 1,500 coin profit per cat. You may need to sell the cats at Market price to get any to sell, however.
