Troll Stronghold Quest
The Imperial Guard’s attack on Death Plateau was overrun by trolls coming from the Stronghold to the North! Dunstan’s son Godric was captured and taken to the Stronghold.

If you feel brave enough, talk to Denulth and travel through Trollheim to go rescue Godric.

Players with a low combat level beware, you will have to defeat some high-level trolls to complete this quest.

Changes To NPC Levels

You may notice that some npc levels have changed with this update.
Due to a bug, certain npcs levels didn’t accurately show how strong or weak they really were.
Even though you now see a different level when you look at these npcs, most haven’t actually changed in difficulty to kill.

Trolls have come down from the north and are camped on Death Plateau, they are using this base to launch attacks on the principality of Burthorpe! The Imperial Guard is taking heavy losses, they need your help!
If you are in search of adventure speak to Denulth, the leader of the Imperial Guard, in the Burthorpe training camp north of the Hero’s Guild and accept the Death Plateau quest!

While this is a quest completable at any level, players with a low combat level should be very cautious or they could come to a sudden and sticky end at the hands of trolls.

This update introduces the town of Burthorpe and a troll area, which is an area that we have plans to expand in future updates with some quests classed in the experienced quests bracket.

We have made some adjustments to the agility arena. More than one person can now go over the low wall at once and it doesn’t take as long to use the handholds.

Some colourblind people were struggling with the new strange boxes due to them being fairly transparent, therefore they are now no longer transparent.

From time to time, we like to open up a forum thread to give you, the players, the chance to come up with specific ideas to add to the game. We then put our favourite ideas into a poll and let the community vote for their favourite. This time, it was to name and fill the vacant pub in Ardougne, and to name a new Slayer creature.

This isn’t because we run out of ideas – far from it! - it’s so you get a chance to genuinely contribute to the content in the game. Of course, we read as many suggestions as we can every day, but running forum threads, discussing your suggestions and knowing that there would be a definite result at the end of the work is a great way to add content to the game.

So, this month, we’re delighted to add the Poison Arrow pub to Ardougne and the aquanite Slayer creature. The pub is just south of Ardougne’s east bank and is filled with a host of suggestions that all came from you! The aquanite is a level 78 Slayer creature that deals magic damage, so do take care if you’re going to visit. You’ll find them at the end of the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon, past the kurasks – you can’t miss them.

Did you know that “RuneScape” is one of the top five terms searched for on YouTube? As such, we like to check out the latest films made by the many RuneScape movie boffins out there. They’re so good, in fact, that we’ve teamed up with one of RuneScape’s most talented machinima (films made with game engines) masterminds, TehNoobShow, to launch a competition to seek out the most entertaining player-made RuneScape video known to humankind. The rules are simple: create an original video short (around two minutes) that’s both entertaining and creative, in the RuneScape game.

The competition launches today, and you have until the closing date of 25th August to submit your videos on the YouTube website. When the entries are in, Andrew, Mark Gerhard and some video-hungry members of the Community Management team will then shortlist five finalists. Those five videos will then feature in a RuneScape weekly poll, allowing the community to choose their favourite.

The video with the most votes will be declared the winner and will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Jagex Games Studio, from wherever they are in the world, and, once here, they will get to meet the developers and creative types that bring RuneScape to life. We’ll then send them off with an armful of signed Jagex goodies. The four runners-up will bag some membership, autographed t-shirts, mugs, mouse mats, mice and other stuff.

Please note that all videos must be made within RuneScape (live action isn’t machinima), and must be submitted via YouTube. We cannot accept entries sent to the Postbag or Gallery email. Those of you who have completed Forgettable Tale of a Drunken Dwarf may remember discovering a dire threat to the Dwarven city of Keldagrim. Then again, given the nature of that quest, you may have discovered it and not remember.

In today’s new quest the people of Keldagrim are under threat once again. Dwarves have been going missing, and Commander Veldaban does not have the guards he needs to properly investigate. Volunteer to help him and you’ll unravel a mystery with grave consequences for both the city and for Veldaban himself. This time, can you escape with your memory intact?

This quest unlocks access to a new mining area in Keldagrim and a combat area with unique drops.

We’ve also released a new story in the Lores and Histories section of the website. The Coat Thief deals with an incident in Commander Veldaban’s life that begins the chain of events leading up to the start of the new quest.

The delays/click lag and other slightly slower actions caused by last week’s engine upgrade should now have disappeared and all behaviour should be back to normal.

We’ve created a new item - the spirit shard pack - that contains 5,000 spirit shards for your purchasing pleasure. Also, pet shop owners now accept large quantities of spirit shards via a right-click sell option.

The following items have increased in stock in their respective shops: harpoons, jugs of water, death runes, empty buckets, cooking apples and butterfly jars.

The Keldagrim Consortium has decided to make Keldagrim easier for humans to reach. Mine cart travel to and from Keldagrim is now free of charge, and there is an additional mine cart route between Keldagrim and the Grand Exchange in Varrock.

The dwarf traders in the Keldagrim trade floor can now be pick-pocketed with level 90 Thieving.

He’s advertising there the wonders of his new picture-taking magic, which sends a still representation of any adventurer to a completely different plane of existence altogether: the RuneScape forums.

Expose yourself to the mischievous magic of Iconis’s impish business partner in the Photo Booth and you may find that the next post you make on the RuneScape forums will have a picture of your head and whatever was on it when the spell was cast. (Note that you can’t pose for a photo while wearing or wielding borrowed items.)

There are only so many spells the poor imp can perform at any one time, though, so for the first few days, it might take several hours from you taking your picture to it being displayed on the forums. Iconis thanks you for your patience.

The runescape auto woodcutter is among those numbers of macros that have been designed for the game of runescape. The macro is basically a program which would take control of your account and in return play the game for you.
