Best Runescape Melee Weapons

If you are looking for the Best Runescape Melee Weapons, then look no further. I’m about to show you what are considered the Best Runescape Melee Weapons.

For those free to play members, Rune is the best. There are three different weapons that are always being argued are the best. These are, Rune Scimitar, Rune 2-handed sword, and the Rune Battle Axe. Rune Scimitars are fast, accurate and can pack a punch. Rune 2-handed swords are slow, you cannot wear a shield with them, but they make up for this with their strong hits. The Rune Battle Axe is in between these. Slower than the Rune Scimitar but faster than the Rune 2-handed sword. It is the same with the damage. You CAN wear a shield with the Rune Battle Axe.

Best in the Dragon category has also been argued. I believe the two favorite ones are the Dragon Long Sword and the Dragon Dagger Poisoned. You do not see many people walking around with Dragon Scimitars or Dragon Maces. These are very costly could be one reason.

Of course, the “Best Runescape Melee Weapons” differ from person to person. If you have someone with low attack, The Granite Mual might be the best for him or her. Alternatively, maybe someone likes speed, so his or her best would be the Abbysal Whip. So, if you were to proclaim your weapon the best weapon, would it really be the best? Maybe to you, but to someone else, it would not be. To a person off of Tutorial Island, an Iron dagger would be the best weapon.

So after realizing what the Best Runescape Melee Weapons are, let’s see if you can find the best one for you. If your new, try to gain some attack and strength levels. Once you have them, try getting some Black weapons. Then on to Mith. One your at adamant you have a pretty good level. Then get it to 40 and fork out the cash for a rune scimitar. Now, if your member I would work on your strength. A Granite Mual use to be, and still is one of my favorite weapons.

There are many many weapons proclaimed as the best. However, I will indeed mention one called the Saradomin Sword. It has also been called the SS. It is a beautiful design; its hits are quite good. However, it’s a sword version of the Whip. Its +82 slash and strength and +60 crush. When you use the Special Attack, it drains the whole bar. It is a very strong sword. Is it the best? Doubt it.

There are hundreds of different weapons out there. In addition, Jagex is always adding to it. So don’t be so quick to judge one weapon better than another does. It really depends on the situation. Obviously if you have a dragon long sword and a bronze short sword, the dragon sword is the best weapon in that situation.

Now that you have a different view on the best weapons, why not go out there and see if you can find the best weapon for you, instead of the all around best weapon. It will be a much easier task than finding a weapon that everyone can proclaim the best. Unless you have super awesome mind control powers

Runescape Combat Triangle

Runescape Combat Triangle

The Runescape Combat Triangle is an in-depth yet simple battle method to ensure success in the wilderness, most likely. Basically, it’s a Rock Paper Scissors situation. Although there are many other factors, this is what the Runescape Combat Triangle is based on. Let me break it down for you.

» Meelee beats Range.
» Range beats Mage.
» Mage beats Meelee.

Simple enough? Let’s see why this rule applies.

Meelee vs. Range:
If you’re out there using Meelee, and you come across a Ranger, your plate armor is going to reflect a lot of the Ranger’s arrows and cause little to no damage to you. Then you can advance on the Ranger and slash through the weak leather. Once your close enough to hit them, they are practically powerless because their arrows do even less damage.

Range vs. Mage:
Ok, you’re a Ranger this time. You happen to spot a mage, and you send a flow of arrows their way. The Magic Robes they wear lowers their long-range defenses. Thus, the arrows just fly right into them. Your leather protects greatly against the magic attacks. Also, a Mage takes quite awhile to recharge and fire again, while a ranger is quick on the battle field.

Mage vs. Meelee:
Alright, Mage you are. You’re out strolling around with a pocket full of runes, Then… What’s that? Some guy with Rune on! You start casting some spells, which his heavy armor will make the magic attack stronger. You keep your distance, as he tries to get close enough for an attack his armor slows him down. All the while your firing huge magic attacks on him.

Now that you have a basic idea of how the Runescape Combat Triangle works, lets talk about how you can change the rules for a better advantage.

Meelee vs. Range Turn out 2:
Say the Ranger has Full Green Dragonhide, Great stats, about 25 magic. As your trying to get closer to him, he keeps using Bind on you. This is holding you a good distance away from him, and all the while, you’re just getting pounded over and over by his arrows. In this situation, the Ranger can win. If you eventually get close to the ranger, he can simply bind you again, and switch to a shortbow, or just run a little further away.

Range vs. Mage Turn out 2:
This time, the mage was prepared for a surprise attack from a ranger, and brought along some plate legs and a shield. Regardless of the magical drain it gives, the mage is able to block a lot of your attacks, and send waves of magic at you. This battle could go on for awhile, but most likely the mage would win.

Meelee vs. Mage Turn out 2:
This time the guy with rune on decided to bring a set of Dragonhide just in case. He slips it on real fast, along with an Anti-Dragon Breath Shield. Your magic is doing little to no damage now. He runs up and begins slashing through those weak mage robes. Slash after slash your health bar goes down, you try to teleport, but you’re too deep in the wilderness! You try to run, but after five steps you fall.

So there you have it. Obviously, this is Runescape, and as such, anything is possible. The Runescape Combat Triangle is not always a fact. No matter how many people say it is, it is not. There are so many opinions out there to do things. Especially about Player Killing

Runescape Summoning

Runescape Summoning

The Runescape Summoning skill was unleashed the 15th of January 2008. It is Members-only. It’s a fairly new skill, I have tried it…, but it was not my favorite. The basic idea is to be able to Summon beings called Familiars using different items. These Familiars can be used for many different things, according to which you summoned. A lot of them can be used for helping in attacks. If you have 10 levels over the Familiar that you summoned, you can talk to it! With some exceptions, of course.

Summoning Pouches are used to summon the Familiars. You have to have a lot of materials to summon a Familiar. First, you will need an empty pouch. Then the number of Spirit Shards needed to summon your particular familiar, a Charm, and the component needed to summon your particular Familiar. I buy my Sprit Shards and Pouches from Pikkupstix in Taverly. Charms are best gotten by Monster Drops.

If you wanted to make a Summoning Scroll to have your Familiars use their special moves, you would need to make a complete Summoning Pouch, and then use it on an obelisk, and it would turn your pouch into 10 scrolls. There are seven different types of specialties, Fighting, Light Enchancers, Skill Boosters, Remote Views, Beast of Burden, Heals, and Foraging.

Fighting of course means your Familiar with fight along your side (only in multi-combat areas.)

Light Enhancers will make any light that you are holding (candle, lantern, so on) brighter.

Skill Boosters make your skills go up, simple enough, right?

Remote View, now this is an interesting one. They can fly up and let you see through their eyes thus having a “bird’s eye view”.

The Beast of Burden specialty is able to carry items. Healer, of course heals you.

Foraging will find different items every now and then; it can carry 30 of the items.

Pets are a fun addition to this skill. If you have ever seen the cats that follow people, these are a lot like them. There are many different types of pets. From a Bulldog to a Giant Crab to a Zamorak Hawk to a Baby Dragon! The Cats are not classified as pets. You will have to complete the Wolf Whistle quest to get any pets. You ARE allowed more than one pet. You have to have 10 levels above the last one to get Say your level 12 summoning, then you’re allowed 2 pets. However, you cannot have 2 of the same pets. Therefore, if you have a Saradomin Owl, you cannot have another Saradomin Owl.

You can store scrolls in “headdresses”. Some Headdresses are not Summoning Specific, so you will have to go to Pikkupstix to get them enchanted, for free I might add. Some Headdresses Include: Antlers, Feather Headdress, Rune Full Helm, Any Fremennik Helmets, and Dragon Medium Helm. Headdresses can be very helpful in situations where you have to act fast. They can also be useful when you have to save room in your inventory.

As I said above, personally this is not a skill that I am interested in. However, for a lot of people, this is good fun. (I would not want to meet someone in the wilderness with a Familiar by their side, I can tell you that.)

Runescape Random Events Guide

Runescape Random Events Guide

There are many different Random Events in Runescape. They were originally invented to help stop the cheaters. Their levels are reasonable to the player that they are after, and they give plenty of time to get away. However, if you are using a macro, you have little to no chance of life. That was their idea as a solution to the problem, but of course as everything else, it has grown into other things. You might still see the occasional Rock Golem, Tree Spirit, or River Troll , every once in awhile.

Of course, now they have plain out Random Events rather than just when you’re using a skill. Some of the more common ones around Runescape are the frogs, the Freaky Forester, The Genie, The Sandwich Lady, and The Security Guard. There are a lot of different ones, but let’s start with these.

The frogs will give you different things, if your a man, you will get prince clothes and a frog’s head (a mask), and if you are a woman you will get a princess outfit and a frog head mask. These can be gotten from the Varrok clothes shop using a frog coin.

For the Freaky Forester, simply do as he says and you will get some rather interesting clothes.

The Genie is a simple talk and get event, its one of my personal favorites. He will give you a magic lamp, which you can rub and get experience, points in the skill of your choice.

The Sandwich lady will offer you a specific sort of food, if you ignore her or pick the wrong one, you will be sent far away.

Then of course, the Security Guard. I have seen loads of these, If you ignore him it will be a battle, if you answer to him he will give you a strong hold book, and maybe some sort of gift, personally I prefer the battle, usually I just get close to killing him then he disappears.

The Drill Demon is a fun Runescape Random Event, he will give you a nice work out, and if you succeed, you will get some really cool army clothes. If you have the full outfit you will get coins.

If you happen upon a Strange Plant and pick its Strange Fruit, you have a fruit that will give back 30% energy and even remove poison just like an Anti-poison potion! If you don’t pick the fruit, the plant will attack and poison you, the poison doing two damage per strike.

You use to be able to fight with the Swarm of Bees, but now all you can do is stand there taking their easy hits of 1 and 2, or of course just walk away. Grab the evil twin is a very fun Random Event, where you have to use a claw to choose the twin of Molly. You only get two tries, so choose carefully!

There are a lot more Random Events out there, like the rock that shoots out bubbles. If you keep mining it, the rock will blowup and your picaxe will break. Alternatively, the Whirlpool on fishing. If you keep fishing, your equipment will be sucked underwater.

I have found that Random Events are more likely to happen when you are doing something (mining, smithing, killing, and so on) then when you are just standing around. Of course, they do happen when you’re just standing, but they happen to me a lot more when I am doing something. Good luck out there, if you happen to meet the Evil Chicken, I would suggest Protection from Magic, as it uses Magic - www.runescapemoney.ws instead of meelee

Runescape Auto Bots

Runescape Auto Bots

Have you ever noticed a level 3 player chopping yews? Most likely, they are using Runescape Auto Bots. These macros will take control of your computer and play the game for you, thus allowing you to gain levels, items, money, and so on without even having to be at the computer. These bots are illegal, and you can be banned from Runescape if you are caught with them. Jagex has made special bots of their own to hunt down people who are using these programs.

On January 19 2006, Jagex banned 15,000 accounts because of cheating. On this day, they posted on their front page that they can easily detect you when you cheat and that it is only a matter of time until you are banned. This is very true, and yet, there are still a lot of people who use these programs with the risk of loosing their account. You can loose your account in more than one way. Besides being banned, you can also loose it to the creators of these “programs”. They will claim that their viruses as the bots and really, as soon as you use them and log into your Runescape account, they will have your username and password. These viruses are called Key Loggers and they will log anything you type and send it back to the creator. Jagex still bans thousands of accounts a month because of this problem.

I find it really sad that so many people are getting their accounts banned for cheating, when they can do the same thing without cheating. Sure, it’s going to take up your time, but it is a game. If you’re not going to play it right, why play it at all? When you cheat at Runescape, you get an instant 99% chance of loosing your account. Whether to a ban or to a virus, taking a risk with 1% chance of getting away with it is complete insanity. It’s much easier to just go spend a week fishing. You will slowly work your way up to sharks, and once you get to sharks, you will have your millions without cheating.

If you do get a Key Logger on your computer, you are in deep trouble. It can get other things besides just your Runescape account. It can get anything that you type. This includes your Credit Card information. Can you imagine trying to use a credit card that is magically maxed out just because you tried to cheat at Runescape? Runescape auto bots you would not be too happy.

Now I will ask you, is it really worth it? I think not. Yet, people are still using them. One reason is to make quick high-level accounts to illegally sell. Then the person who buys the account will have an account that is to be banned soon, and the person who cheated got some money off of it. Jagex is becoming more and more involved and has been hunting down the creators of these cheats and suing them. This is a great way to stop the problem. Now, you can do your part as well. If you find a cheating website, send a support ticket to them with the address. Then they will go investigate. You can also do your part in the game. If you think someone is cheating, report him or her. Let us all help make the game a fair place to play. I know I would much rather like to see a fair game than someone cheating for what they get.

Runescape Construction

Runescape Construction

The skill of Construction is one of my personal favorites. It allows you to do quite a lot of things. Toys, Furniture, Decorations, these are just a glimpse of what Runescape Construction has to offer.

The first thing you should do is get 1000gp and buy your first house. You can buy your house from the Real Estate Agent in Varrok, Falador, Seers’ Village, or East Ardougne. After you buy your house, you will receive a Construction Book, and be able to enter your house. The very first house you get is located in Rimmington. (Rimmington is South of Falador, the place where the witch is in the Witches Potion quest.) You are able to move it, change its style, add rooms, but all at a price. When you arrive at Rimmington, you will notice a big purple portal. This is how you will get in.

Go to your house will bring you to your home, but you cannot build. Building mode will give you all kinds of options such as adding rooms, planting trees, and building furniture. As I was saying, the Real Estate Agent can do many things for your house, but at a price. So lets look at these prices.

He can change the style of your home; this will require a certain Construction level along with the correct amount of gold. Until level 10, you are stuck with the old Wooden House look. When you reach level 10 you can pay 5,000 gold to upgrade to Stone that looks a lot like Lumbridge. Then you can bump it to White Stone at level 20 for 7,500 gold, and so on up the list. The highest style you can get is called Fancy Stone and it looks like Falador, it requires level 50 construction and 25,000 gold.

The Real Estate Agent is also able to move your home to different locations. Just like the different styles, these also require levels and gold. The level/cost is in the same order as the styles, the starter being in Rimmington and the last at Yanille. With various places in between.

I have spent quite a lot of gold on my house. It is in Brimhaven, which costs 15,000 gold. (It is fun to live on Karamja, a lot to do there, I hardly leave the island.) In addition, my style is Tropical Wood, another 15,000 gold, so that is 30,000 right there and I spent a lot of money trying different styles. Remember; be sure you want to change your style before you do. I wasted a lot of money changing and then changing back a lot.

If you are planning to make a pretty garden, then I would suggest heading up to the Falador Park and talking with the Garden Supplier. She sells many different “bagged” plants. With prices ranging from 1000 gold each to 15,000 gold each.

Servants are a fun twist on Runescape Construction. You can head on over to East Ardougne and hire one. There are some requirements to have a Servant. First, you will have to pay a fee to get a servant, along with paying him or her whenever they request to be paid. You have to have at least two bedrooms each with beds before you can hire one, if you want your servant to make you food, you will need a Dining room, and a Kitchen with the things needed to make the food. The fee you pay to them at first will be the fee they will ask for again, so be sure you can afford it. Now lets talk about the different Servants you can get.

Rick will serve shrimp and can take up to 6 items to and from the bank if needed. The Maid can serve bowls of Stew and cups of Tea, she is faster than Rick when taking things to and from the bank, and she can take up to 10 items.

The Cook is able to take 16 items faster than The Maid, and she can take wood and get planks made. She serves Pineapple Pizza to the guests and you.

The Butler is faster than The Cook of course, and can take 20 items; he is also faster with the planks. Chocolate Cake is what The Butler will make.

The Demon Butler is able to take 26 items to and from the bank, and is even faster than The Butler. He will serve you bowls of Curry. The servant will only ask for payment if you make it do something. So if you are low on gold, do not talk to your servant! Otherwise you might loose him or her.

Now you have a good idea of what can be done with your house. So go let your imagination flow! Haha, Happy Playing.

Runescape Stat Trainer

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Beginners' Guide, Christmas 2008 Event Guide, buy runescape money, free runescape money

Runescape Stat Trainer

Many times when people search for a Runescape Stat Trainer, they are looking for some sort of cheat that will do the work for them. Although these cheats do exist, they are easy to find and Jagex bans thousands of accounts a month for using them. Sometimes people want others to do the work for them, so they will pay so much per exp, and have their accounts trained by someone else. Most of the time, the people who train these accounts use the cheats to do it and then the accounts are banned. The best way to train your stats is to just do it yourself. Think about it, you wont be cheating, you wont risk loosing your account to a ban or a “stat trainer” that can steal your account, and most of all, you did it yourself so you have that feeling of accomplishment.

If you let others do the work for you or you use a program to cheat at it, then you loose the true fun of the game. Think about if everyone cheated at Runescape, would it be any fun anymore? No, it would not be, because you would have all your stats to 99, all the items you ever wanted, sure, this seems nice, but so would everyone else in Runescape. So there would be no Player Killing because you would not be able to kill each other, it would just be a never-ending battle. Training your stats without cheating is half the fun of Runescape.

Here are some tips to help you train your stats;

1. If you are after a certain level, do not do anything else in Runescape before you have it. If you stop training it might be a month before you start again.

2. Stay positive. If you know you can do it, then you will. Negativity will only slow you down.

3. Break up your goal into several smaller ones. Such as, if you are wanting level 60 attack and you are level 50 attack, and then break it down to every 2 levels, with breaks in between. It can take a little longer like this, but at least you wont be sitting there bored.

4. Never give up. If you give up you will never reach your goal.

Sure, most of those are just common knowledge, but if you follow them then you will go far. Remember, if you really want it, you should work twice as hard to get it.

Training it yourself is a lot harder than paying someone to do it or cheating, but you will feel a lot better after it is all done if you did it yourself. If you let someone train your stats to 99, sure you will be jumping around for a little while, but if you trained it yourself, there is no comparison. When you look at the stat and know you did that all by yourself, it is a lot better than looking at it and knowing you cheated to get it. If that is not enough to convince you, think of it like this.

Let’s say you pay someone a lot of money to get you to level 100. They tell you it will take one week and to not log on until then. Therefore, a week passes and you are all exited to log in and see your level is 100, and then you receive a message that the username or password is wrong. Then you lost your account AND your money. You cannot trust ANYONE with your Runescape password.

Runescape Strength Training

Runescape Strength Training

To do well in melee you are going to need good Strength levels. These levels can be obtained by using the Aggressive attack style while training. There are also many different ways to temporarily boost your Strength.

If you are going to train to get your levels, I would suggest killing goblins. They are quick to kill and give a fair amount of experience points. It is always better to kill something fast and get smaller exp. than take longer to kill something and get more.

Let’s say that I go kill a goblin, it will take about 2 to 3 hits and its dead, and I will get around 40 experience. It only takes about 2 seconds, then I am on to another, and it keeps going on and on getting 40 exp. per kill.

Now say I go kill a Minotaur. It takes me 7 hits and I get 50 experience points. That’s only 10 more than a goblin, and it takes way longer. I could kill 3 goblins in the time it takes to kill 1 Minotaur!

You can also get Strength experience points in quests. These quests include;

» Scorpion Catcher = 6,625 strength xp
» Heroes Quest = 3,075 strength xp
» Tai Bwo Wannai Trio = 2,500 strength xp
» Haunted Mine = 22,000 strength xp
» In Search of the Myreque = 600 strength xp
» Dragon Slayer = 18,650 strength xp
» Roving Elves = 10,000 strength xp
» Troll Romance = 4,000 strength xp
» In Aid of the Myreque = 2,000 strength xp
» Monkey Madness = 20,000 or 35,000 strength xp
» Waterfall Quest = 13,750 strength xp
» The Fremennik Trials = 2,812 strength xp

There are also various ways to give quick boosts to your Strength; this is very useful if you are suddenly attacked. One way is through the Prayer skill. There are three different prayers that will boost your Strength; these are the Burst of Strength, Superhuman Strength, and Ultimate Strength. Each give a certain percentage boost, ranging from 5 to 15.

Another way is drinking Potions. The most commonly known potion is the Strength Potion. This will boost your Strength anywhere from 3 to 12 levels. Then there is the Super Strength Potion which will boost anywhere from 5 to 19! The Zamorak Potion is one of the lesser known potions, it will give a boost anywhere from 3 to 11.

You can also drink Beer to increase your strength, but it will take away from your attack. A normal glass gives a boost of 4, and takes 8 attack away. If you were to drink a Keg of Beer, you would have an increase of 7 in strength, but with a great decrease of attack.

You can also get bonuses by what sort of sword and armor you wear. For instance, if you were to wear Rune Gloves, you would get a bonus of +8. A Dragon Two-Handed Sword will give you a bonus of +93!

If you were to wear a Dragon Longsword, a Berserker Necklace, a Fire Cape, Barrows Gloves, Rune Boots, an Obsidian Shield, the Helm of Neitiznot, and the Bandos Chestplate, besides looking completely ridiculous you would have a total strength bonus of +108! There are many not so crazy looking ways to boost your Strength Stat, this was just an example.

Best Runescape Range Weapons

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Beginners' Guide, Christmas 2008 Event Guide, Lores and Histories, buy runescape money, free runescape money

Best Runescape Range Weapons

There are many different types of Runescape Range Weapons, from bows and arrows to throwing axes to crossbows. I personally do not think there is really a “best” weapon, but rather a weapon that is best for a person.

Over the years, I have heard numerous arguments over which weapons were the best. If they would stop looking at the over all best, which is impossible to call a weapon, they would be in much better shape. Let me explain. Say you have a new person just starting out; they have trained their range to level 5. You give them an Oak Bow and some steel arrows, and then to them, the Oak Bow is the best weapon. You can apply this is any weapon. So the next time you are in an argument over which is better, use what I just said. You will win the argument for sure, ha-ha.

In my opinion, the best type of Bow is the Crystal Bow. It is 80% more accurate than a Magic Longbow, it hit higher than Rune Arrows, and it does not use any arrows! This will save you a lot of money. The down side to this one is it does not have a special attack.

If I were going to pick the best Throwing Axe, I would have to say Rune. They have a special attack that will allow you to attack many monsters at once in a multi-combat zone.

As for the best Crossbow, I would have to say the Rune Crossbow, It does not have a specialty like the Dorgeshunn Crossbow does, but as it requires level 61 range, I would have to believe it hits better.

But again, these are my choices; they can be different for anyone. Here is another idea for you. Let’s say that you have to do a quest. This quest requires a certain type of Throwing Axes. In this case, we will say that they are Bronze. So then, wouldn’t Bronze Throwing Axes be the Best Runescape Range Weapons for that quest? I believe they would be.

I was listening to a player, he told me his top 5 Runescape Range Weapons. I will tell them to you.

5. Magic Shortbow because it can hit quite big with a high range level, it is also very cheap.

4. Karils Crossbow because it is very fast, it can hit big, and its not to expensive.

3. Crystal Bow because it can hit hard and fast, but it is only 3rd because it requires a quest and it can get very expensive.

2. Dark Bow because its special can be incredibly powerful, sadly it is slow and very expensive.

1. Rune Crossbow because the bolts can hit 50+, it is cheap, and average in speed. In addition to those, you can also wield a shield.

It is fun to hear what players think are the best, because each person will give you a different conclusion.

There are many different ways to rate the “best” weapons, but there is no way to call one the over all best. If you have your own opinion on what is the best, feel free to share them. Who knows what works for you might work for someone else as well? Happy Playing!
