Runescape Clan Chat

Runescape Clan Chat can be a great way to stay in touch with your Player Killing team. I use to own a clan; it was called the Brothers of the Bone. We all dressed in red robes, and it was flat out fun. The Clan Chat helped a lot to keep track of all the members. The Runescape Clan Chat can be used for other things than just Clan Chats. If you want to hold a meeting with a couple people and still be all over Runescape, the Clan Chat can be a massive help.

Let’s talk about Creating a Clan Chat. First, go to your Clan Chat tab. Then click on Clan Setup.
This button will pop up a window with many different things. Lets start with the tabs on the
left.

Clan Name: Click on this and you can type in the name you want your Clan Chat to be called. (Note: you can only put up to 12 letters.)

Who can enter chat? This is the lowest rank allowed to enter the chat. There are Many different choices to these, and they are
» Anyone
» Any Friends
» Recruits
» Corporal
» Sergeant
» Lieutenant
» Captain
» General
» Only Me

This is the same for Who can kick on chat? and Who can share loot? Accept on the second one there is a No-One option. You can Access these menus by right clicking on these tabs. CoinShare is a loot sharing option of your going to fight monsters; the drops will be shared between the groups.

On the right, you will see your friends list and a lot of Not in Clans. If you right click where it
says Not in clan you will get a drop down menu like the others, and you can assign your friends roles in the clan.

Joining a Clan Chat is fairly simple. You simply press Join Chat and type in their name. You also have to do this with your own Clan Chat, every time you log in.

You can also mute the clan chat, or any other chat for that matter, using the tabs down below by Report Abuse. Simply right click to get the menu and select Off Clan.

Now that you know all about the Clan Chat, why not get out there and recruit? You can become the biggest and best clan in Runescape with a little help from the Runescape Clan Chat. Remember, Clan Chat is your friend! Let me give you some good tips for where to find powerful people to recruit. Not in Lumbridge, Not in Varrok. These places are noob city. For Free to Play members, I would check Falador. Usually the higher levels hang out in Falador. For Pay to Play, Try the Duel Arena or Castle Wars. Especially at Castle Wars, that’s where many of the really high levels like to show off their skills. If you’re daring enough, try skimming the back of the wilderness, but a lot of the time they are not going to listen to you back there. If you can recruit those ones that hang out in the back of the wilderness, then your Clan will be unstoppable.

Runescape Construction

Runescape Construction

The skill of Construction is one of my personal favorites. It allows you to do quite a lot of things. Toys, Furniture, Decorations, these are just a glimpse of what Runescape Construction has to offer.

The first thing you should do is get 1000gp and buy your first house. You can buy your house from the Real Estate Agent in Varrok, Falador, Seers’ Village, or East Ardougne. After you buy your house, you will receive a Construction Book, and be able to enter your house. The very first house you get is located in Rimmington. (Rimmington is South of Falador, the place where the witch is in the Witches Potion quest.) You are able to move it, change its style, add rooms, but all at a price. When you arrive at Rimmington, you will notice a big purple portal. This is how you will get in.

Go to your house will bring you to your home, but you cannot build. Building mode will give you all kinds of options such as adding rooms, planting trees, and building furniture. As I was saying, the Real Estate Agent can do many things for your house, but at a price. So lets look at these prices.

He can change the style of your home; this will require a certain Construction level along with the correct amount of gold. Until level 10, you are stuck with the old Wooden House look. When you reach level 10 you can pay 5,000 gold to upgrade to Stone that looks a lot like Lumbridge. Then you can bump it to White Stone at level 20 for 7,500 gold, and so on up the list. The highest style you can get is called Fancy Stone and it looks like Falador, it requires level 50 construction and 25,000 gold.

The Real Estate Agent is also able to move your home to different locations. Just like the different styles, these also require levels and gold. The level/cost is in the same order as the styles, the starter being in Rimmington and the last at Yanille. With various places in between.

I have spent quite a lot of gold on my house. It is in Brimhaven, which costs 15,000 gold. (It is fun to live on Karamja, a lot to do there, I hardly leave the island.) In addition, my style is Tropical Wood, another 15,000 gold, so that is 30,000 right there and I spent a lot of money trying different styles. Remember; be sure you want to change your style before you do. I wasted a lot of money changing and then changing back a lot.

If you are planning to make a pretty garden, then I would suggest heading up to the Falador Park and talking with the Garden Supplier. She sells many different “bagged” plants. With prices ranging from 1000 gold each to 15,000 gold each.

Servants are a fun twist on Runescape Construction. You can head on over to East Ardougne and hire one. There are some requirements to have a Servant. First, you will have to pay a fee to get a servant, along with paying him or her whenever they request to be paid. You have to have at least two bedrooms each with beds before you can hire one, if you want your servant to make you food, you will need a Dining room, and a Kitchen with the things needed to make the food. The fee you pay to them at first will be the fee they will ask for again, so be sure you can afford it. Now lets talk about the different Servants you can get.

Rick will serve shrimp and can take up to 6 items to and from the bank if needed. The Maid can serve bowls of Stew and cups of Tea, she is faster than Rick when taking things to and from the bank, and she can take up to 10 items.

The Cook is able to take 16 items faster than The Maid, and she can take wood and get planks made. She serves Pineapple Pizza to the guests and you.

The Butler is faster than The Cook of course, and can take 20 items; he is also faster with the planks. Chocolate Cake is what The Butler will make.

The Demon Butler is able to take 26 items to and from the bank, and is even faster than The Butler. He will serve you bowls of Curry. The servant will only ask for payment if you make it do something. So if you are low on gold, do not talk to your servant! Otherwise you might loose him or her.

Now you have a good idea of what can be done with your house. So go let your imagination flow! Haha, Happy Playing.

Runescape Merchanting Tips

Posted by: amber  //  Category: FunOrb, Lores and Histories, Runescape Banks, Runescape Banks Guide, Runescape Community, free runescape money, runescape accounts

Have you ever wondered what merchanting was? Well, it is just buying low and selling high. A lot of people get Runescape merchanting confused with scamming. Of course, this is not the case. Scamming is cheating other players out of their money, items, and so on.

Here is the quote of rule 2: “You must not scam or deceive other players. And lying to other players for your own personal gain is not in the spirit of fair play.”

Merchanting is just buying as low as you can get it, and selling as high as you can. With the new trade limits, it makes it harder to buy super low, and sell super high, because players now know exactly how much they are paying. This usually means less people willing to pay the max price. Due to the trade limits, merchanting has almost become a dead topic. Now all people recommend doing is hording. Hording is my term for stocking up in ore, wood, ect… to sell as bulk to players. Hording and Merchanting are two of the same whole.

You see, Merchants need bulk items as cheap as they can get them so that they can sell the bulk items for more of a price. I have heard that there are three types of sellers.

You have: Repeat Sellers - These ones will give you a continuous flow of the bulk. As you keep on buying, you form a trust between each other and thus can get better deals.
Desperate Sellers - These are good, as if they are desperate you can get a way better deal. Usually these types of sellers are over stocked and will take the loss. Then you have the ones who do not know the value of an item. Personally, I think that this is a lot like scamming. Just so you know, due to the trade limits, these types of sellers do not exist. This is one reason that the Merchants have died out. So in a way, merchanting use to be a lot like scamming. Now a days, it just buying low and selling high.

I do not think I ever tried merchanting; it seemed like a lot of work for not so much profit. Not to mention that you had to have money to start with, and back before I developed my own ways, I had no money. I started earning money by chopping wood and then I moved onto fishing. Hording is an excellent way to make money. For those few who are still merchanting, I greatly recommend you switch over to Hording. As more and more people switch over, less and less are going to accept less than the normal price. As the price rises, merchanting will become a dead theory.

The people who Hord have figured out that they are accepting too low for their items now, because of the trade limits. So instead of selling low, they are going to go to the bulk buyers and sell for a better price. As this happens, the market will slowly rise. As the market slowly rises, more and more people will begin to switch over to hording. As this happens, people are going to look for the lowest price available. That is where you come in.

Hord and save, watch the market go up. When you think that it is time, sell as low as you can. I guarantee that you are going to have people lined up just waiting to buy from you, and because you spent your time hording, you will have the items to supply them. Thus, you become rich. Happy Hording!

Runescape Halloween Event

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Fist of Guthix, FunOrb, Holiday Guides, Making Runescape Money, Runescape Community, Runescape Gold, runescape, runescape easy money

Runescape Halloween Event

Like many online role playing games, Runescape celebrates real-world holidays in their fictional, magical world of monsters, magic, and heroes. Halloween is no exception. During the Halloween holiday season, players have a few unique quests and events you can participate in. But you have to hurry—once the ghouls and goblins have completed their trick or treating on Halloween, the quests and many of their rewards are gone for another year.

Maggie the Witch
Maggie the traveling witch starts the main Halloween quests, Swept Away and trick or treating. Maggie is located north of Rimmington, and players will find her with her two oxen, Norman and Babe. However, her oxen are sick, and Maggie has to stay with them to nurse them back to health. This means she can’t complete either her magical potion or go trick or treating! Runescape members, however, can help her complete both tasks and in the process gain some very nice rewards.

The Swept Away Quest
The Swept Away quest involves helping Maggie complete her magic potion by visiting three of her friend and getting her magic broom enchanted. This isn’t as simple as simply visiting the three, of course. Instead, players must solve a puzzle for each witch before she will enchant the broom. The three witches are Hetty of Rimmington, Betty of Port Sarim, and Aggie of Draynor.

The first step is to visit Hetty in Rimmington. Hetty’s enchantment involves rubbing her special ointment on the broom, but Hetty is out of ointment and can’t make more without some newt. She has some in her basement, which she asked the player to get. Down in the basement, players encounter Gus the Ghoul. He was delivering Hetty’s new supplies, but he got the labels all mixed up. One box contains only newts, one contains only toads, and one contains both. Players must figure out which is which so that Hetty can make the ointment.

All three boxes are mislabeled—players must change the label on each one. Fortunately, Gus will be able to tell players if they’ve made a mistake, and since there are only three options, even just guessing will work eventually. Once the boxes are correctly labeled, players receive the broom ointment from Hetty.

Betty, the witch of Port Sarim, sends players to her basement to meet Lottie. Lottie is trying to get Betty’s magic wand, but it’s locked in a treasure chest that’s guarded by a number of creatures. Before the player can get to the chest, they have to put the creatures in the correct cage. There are six animals to rearrange, and Lottie provides players with a slate that shows where each animal is, making it somewhat easier. One thing to remember, though, is that animals can only be moved to an adjacent cage, and a cage can only hold one animal at a time. Once all of the animals are in the correct cage, the player received Betty’s wand, which she then uses to enchant the broom.

The final witch is Aggie of Draynor. She can only enchant the broomstick in her magical place, but that place is currently covered in sand. The player must sweep the sand away from the magical lines so that they form four different triangles. There are several ways of accomplishing this, and trial and error work just as well as any other method. Once the triangles are revealed, players receive the final enchantment and can return to Maggie.

Maggie can then finish up her Goulash. Once it’s done, she offers some to the player, who receives experience towards a skill. Players can eat the Goulash ten times.

Trick or Treat
Maggie also wants players to bring her some candy from the various trick or treat buckets located at specific locations. Completing this quest three times rewards players with the entire Witch outfit (for female characters) or Warlock outfit (for males). (Runescape Halloween Events and holiday items are located here)

There are three places to trick or treat, and they conveniently match up to the towns the three witches live in: Rimmington, Port Sarim, and Draynor. This makes doing Swept Away and Trick or Treat very easy. Each of these towns also features some really neat Halloween decorations, so they’re worth visiting during the event. Players will need six popcorn balls, five pieces of wrapped candy, and four chocolate drops to get all three pieces of the Halloween outfit. Some of the candy drops more frequently than others—players often get chocolate from trick or treating, but wrapped candy seems somewhat rare.

Runescape Hitpoints Skill Guide

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Christmas 2008 Event Guide, FunOrb, Holiday Guides, Making Runescape Money, runescape, runescape easy money

Runescape Hitpoints Skill Guide

One of the most important concepts to understand in Runescape is that of hitpoints, sometimes called HP, health, or life points. These basically represent how many hits your character can take before he or she dies. The more hitpoints you have, the more powerful monsters you can take on and the longer you’ll be able to survive in massive battles. If your hitpoints reach zero, your character will reappear at your spawn point, which is often far away from where you died.

Your hitpoint level does determine your combat level. For every four hitpoints you have, your combat level increases by one (one hitpoint level therefore equals one/fourth combat level).

Increasing Your Hitpoints
One very important goal in Runescape is to increase your hitpoints so you can take more damage and fight stronger monsters. The best way of doing this is to fight. Each time you hit an enemy in Runescape, your hitpoints increase. The exact increase depends on how much damage you did. The basic formula is to take the damage you cause and multiply it by 1.33. Dealing 20 points of damage to a monster would, therefore, raise your hitpoints by 26. This is the most efficient way of gaining more health in Runescape, but there are other ways.

Items Available to Free Players and Members
There are two items players can use to raise their hitpoints. They include the Genie’s Lamp and the Book of Knowledge. Both can be received by completing random events. The Genie’s Lamp comes from the Genie event, while the Book of Knowledge is a reward from the Surprise Exam event.

Members Only Mini-Game Rewards
A paying member of Runescape has three more options for increasing his or her hitpoints. They include winning the Pest Control mini-game or the Tears of Guthix mini-game, although the Tears game will only increase a player’s hitpoints if it is their lowest skill. Finally, players may receive the Antique Lamp by completing various quests and by winning the Varrock Museum mini-game.

Gaining Hitpoints from Jewelry
Equipping different types of jewelry can give you more hitpoints or provide other benefits that can save your hitpoints. Here are just a few jewelry options.

The Ring of Life will instantly teleport you back to your spawn point if your hitpoints fall below ten percent. It only has one charge, however, and turns to dust after being used.

The Bracelet of Regeneration doubles your hitpoint recovery rate.

The Phoenix Necklace instantly restores 30% of your max hitpoints when your hitpoints fall below 20%. It can only be used once, however, before turning to dust.

Eating Food
Eating food is the most common way to restore any lost hitpoints. There are three different types of food in Runescape: common food, best food, and bad food.

Common food can be found in many different places, and while these foods don’t restore as many hitpoints as best foods, they do enough for most players, especially those just starting out.

Best foods, on the other hand, always heal at least 20 hitpoints and often give players a short-term status bonus. Finding these foods is more difficult than finding common foods, however.

Bad food is food that should be avoided at all costs. They can actually lower your hitpoints or poison you.

Potions
Potions are another way of increasing your hitpoints and restoring them.

Guthix’s Rest potion raises your hitpoints by five if you’re at maximum health. It also cures some poisons and restores your run energy.

Saradomin’s Brew will increase your hitpoints by 15% and your defense by 20%; however, it lowers ranged attack, magic, and strength by ten percent.

Prayers
Prayers used doing combat allow players to restore hitpoints or regain hitpoints more quickly.

The Prayer of Rapid Heal, like the Bracelet of Regeneration, doubles your hitpoint recovery rate.

The Prayer of Redemption will heal 25% of your hitpoints if they drop below ten percent. It drains all of your Prayer Points, however, so it’s not a prayer you can use very often.

Lunar Spells
There are some lunar spells that also restore hitpoints. To use them, you must have completed the Lunar Diplomacy quest and have the Lunar Magicks spellbook.

The Heal Other spell allows you to heal another player, restoring some of their hitpoints.

The Heal Group spell does the same thing as the Heal Other spell except it affects your entire group.

The Dream Spell triples your hitpoint recovery rate, but it can only be cast when you are not in combat. If something attacks you during this spell, the recovery rate returns to normal.

Ernest the Chicken

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Christmas 2008 Event Guide, FunOrb, Holiday Guides, Making Runescape Money, Runescape Banks, Runescape Economy, runescape, runescape easy money

Ernest the Chicken

Description: Veronica is very worried. Her finance went into the big spooky manor house to ask for directions. An hour later and he’s still not out yet.
Start Point: Gates of Draynor Manor
Reward: 300 coins
Quest Points: 4
Items Needed: Spade (can be gotten during quest)
Requirements: None
Length: Medium
Difficulty: Novice
To Start: Speak to Veronica.

To begin this quest, you will need to go to the gates of Draynor Manor. Once you are there, find the woman named Veronica. Talk to her and she will tell you about how her fiancee, Ernest, went into Draynor Manor one hour ago and she has not seen him since. Tell Veronica that you will help find him, then go into the mansion.

Once you are inside the doors will close and lock behind you. Walk up the staircase that is close to the doors you entered into. When you make it upstairs, take the spiral staircase up another level and you will discover a person named Professor Oddenstein. Talk to him and ask about Ernest. He will tell you that Ernest helped him with an experiment and has been turned into a chicken. Ask him to turn him back and he will tell you that gremlins stole three parts from his machine, a Rubber tube, an Oil can, and a Pressure Gauge. He will then ask you to help find the parts.

First let’s get the Oil can, go to the basement. The basement can be accessed by a secret room behind a bookcase that is in the southwest corner of Draynor Manor. It should be easy to find. Once you get inside the secret room, start down the ladder. When you arrive at the basement, you will see many different levers that will open and close different doors. This is the part that makes Ernest the Chicken so hard, and many people give up when they reach this part. Luckily, you have me.

» Pull the A and B levers and open the northeast door.
» Pull the D lever and go through the southwest door then proceed through the south door.
» Pull the A and B levers again and open the northwest door then go through the west door followed by the north door.
» Pull the F and E levers and open the east door then continue through the next east door.
» Pull the C lever and head back through the northwest door and then through the west door.
» Pull the E levers and open the east door then the south door followed by another south door.
» Finally open the west door and grab the Oil can.

Now that you have your Oil can, we will get the Rubber tube next. Make your way to the ground floor and go to the southeast corner. Grab the spade in this room. (Unless you have gotten one already.)

Go outside through the door in the back of the room and head around the mansion to the other side. You will find a pile of compost and it will have the option to search it. Use the search option or use your spade on it and you will get a key. Go back into the house (using the front door) and use the key to open the small room behind the staircase. The room has a level 22 Skeleton, do not worry about it. Run it and grab the tube, then make a quick escape. Now you just have one more to go.

This next item is my personal favorite, The Pressure gauge! Go up the staircase and into the room south of the stairs. Pick up the Fish Food in the room and go back down the stairs. Head on over to the west side of the mansion and go into the small room next to the kitchen where you will notice some Poison. Pick up the Poison, and then use the Poison with the Fish food. This will make Poisoned Fish Food. Go back outside the mansion through the door you went through the first time and go to the southwest corner of the lawn (if you can call it a lawn, haha.) Now use the Poisoned Fish Food with the fountain. You will receive a message saying the fish have been killed. Now search the fountain and you will get the Pressure gauge.

Now simply go back into the mansion and talk to Professor Oddenstein. He will thank you for the items and then he will turn Ernest back into a human. Ernest (Ernest the Chicken) will be glad to no longer be a chicken, (who wouldn’t!) and he will reward you for your help.

Utilizing The Bank In The Runescape World

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Fist of Guthix, FunOrb, Holiday Guides, free runescape money

Utilizing The Bank In The Runescape World

In Runescape, there will come a point where the importance of banking and storing items instead of leaving them on your inventory backpack will be appreciated. The bank box is usually provided in areas where the icons are indicated so that a player may make a withdrawal or deposit in terms of gold and items on hand. The bank is the safest place to store items which may evidently get lost should a player be killed anywhere in the world of Runescape.

There are players who do not value the presence of a bank account box assigned to them. For one, beginners will have a hard time finding out where the nearest banking place would be in Runescape as they are usually going around in most places, looking for adventure and things to do. Exploring the world in the early parts of the game and interacting and checking out places and the other characters would be among the immediate tasks that people would usually be tasked to do.

Once a player dies, most items would be lost. Resources, weapons and other acquired items through purchases or trade would be lost in such instances since they go with the dead body of the player wherever they may be. After being killed in the game however, a player is restored to a starting point like towns where he will have to re-purchase the lost items and collect again most of the items he lost.

The matter of security is also another issue for accounts when bank accounts are accessed. This is why it has been spread that no player should reveal his username and password to players or fake administrators who try to teach them some in-game techniques and secrets, much of which are scams. Such a practice is rampant in Runescape, and hence the continuous reminders by Runescape and its administrators to be aware of such pranks which could be done to them at any time.

It is recommended to store the special items that will not be of use to a player in their banks. Losing them may be something that a player would regret and dampen morale and spirits when playing the game. Such would only be natural considering that saving all items for the proper moment in the game will be lost once players fail to realize the value of such.

Such issues have their own impact on the players. Some would evidently just leave these items in their bank accounts, while for others, it is better to use them than not to have used them at all. For the latter, the risk is higher since he would not know what lies ahead on his journey. Whatever the case, it would all depend on how valuable such items would be and their use as well when it comes to storing them in the bank box or just having them handy in their inventory pack in Runescape.

Runescape Skills

Runescape Skills

You must be wondering why to work on a skill which is so useless. Why to go for extra effort on skill which never comes in handy. Then following is a summary of what Runescape can do.

Agility is one of the hardest skills to train in Runescape, but when it pays off, you’ll be more than happy. One important aspect of the skill is that after training you can have access to the shortcuts which will considerably reduce the walking time and yes I know you people don’t like to walk everywhere. The best part of the training is that you can access the shortcut to the blue dragons and what’s more it is worth it.

Combat Skills in simple words state that you are in a war and must hone your skills. The better the skills, the longer you’ll survive.

Crafting is a skill which a lot of people despise and hence are averted to do it and the prime reason for it is that there is absolutely no way to get levels at the beginning of the game and yet make money. But you will have to rely on this skill once you get the blue dragon hide armor.

Farming skill is one of my personal favorites. I opt to do it when I am alching stuff. The best way to do it is that plant the herbs log off, log in again after 70 minutes and your herbs are done.

Firemaking is one of those skills which most people think is pointless. The main reason for it is that you can use it for quests. Also another reason is that you can make those pyre logs and the burn the monster remains.

Fishing is one skill is mostly done for food. For p2p you will have to fish sharks and for f2p you will have to fish for swordfishes.

The Herbalore skill is very hard to train, but the higher is your level the easier it is to sell pots and get more and more experience and earn more money.

Mage is a type of skill which I personally don’t like, but what’s the difference, my main has the 96th level and therefore I can do most of the normal spells and ancients. The best thing about magic is the teleportation.

The prayer skill is one of the hard to train but all you have to do is to bury all the bones and the next thing you’ll know is that you will actually be smiling.

The Runecrafting is skill which is everyone’s dream. The skill helps you to make your own runes, but you know that we cannot make blood or create souls. The best method of getting the experience in Runecrafting is the use of abbys to create cosmics, laws, and nats.

Most people think that the slayer is pointless but a lot of people don’t know its importance. A lot of people don’t know that when the monsters are slayed that drop their weapons.

Thieving experience helps you to steal everything from cakes to sharks if you have enough high level.

The woodcutting is also a good way of earning more money.

Dyes for Capes and other Applications
If you want to dye your cape or get some dyes for a quest, visit Aggie the Witch. She will make you dyes with different ingredients:

Yellow dye: Two Onions and 5gp.
Red dye: Three Redberries and 5gp.
Blue dye: Two Woad leaves and 5gp.
Green dye: Mix yellow dye with blue
Orange dye: Mix yellow dye with red
Purple dye: Mix red dye with blue
To dye a cape, use your bottle of dye on a cape of any color. You can get capes by killing the Highwaymen who wander on the path going from Lumbridge to Port Sarim, or buy them in the Champions’ Guild, or Varrock clothes store.

Woodcutting
Draynor Village is commonly referred to as the best woodcutting spot in F2P. South-west of the bank there are a bunch of Willow Trees which are great for burning, or collecting in your bank.

Fishing Spots
This is pretty much the only place for level one fishers, and I would recommend training here until about level 25. The reason being is that it’s safe, there is a bank nearby, and there are plenty of fishing spots.

Wizards’ Tower
The Wizards’ Tower is a good spot to train magic, with a lesser demon in a cage on the top floor. Within the tower, members can buy Splitbark armour.

The Jail
The jail is a great low-level combat training area. Here, you can three-item, and continue training on the jail guards until you die, then run back from Lumbridge and continue on, without losing anything.

The Sewers
The sewers are used as part of the Desert Treasure quest. There are many zombies down here to train on, as well as an anvil for smithers to use. The dungeon has 2 entrances, one near Diango’s house and the other near the Jail.
