Money Making Guide Part 5

There is also money to be made in Woodcutting. The best money is in high levels.

I will briefly cover this topic as it is geared towards higher leveled players. I have a character with level 76 woodcutting skill. When you have reached lvl 70, you can start to cut magic trees.

The logs from this tree sells for 1k per log.

I realize level 70 is very high, but I actually reached it in around a week. This was extremely boring, I must say, as this is pretty much all I did.

If you reach lvl 70 you have it MADE as far as money is concerned

If you are just starting to cut wood you should focus on Oak and Yew (members should cut the maples behind the SEERS bank for quick leveling.)

When you have reached lvl 60 you can cut Yews, which are also decent money, you can sell these logs usually for 500gp.

I know that this chapter is not very detailed… after all how can you elaborate on cutting wood…

Get an axe, go to a forest close to the bank, cut the trees, visit the bank, store you wood, rinse and repeat… try not to fall asleep…

Money Making Guide Part 4

Another great way to profit is to visit various shops located within Runescape. We will touch on a few of these in this chapter. The goal is to find items in demand, or rare items.

You will want to buy common items from shops, and then resell them high to other players. If you are a member there are certain shops in Runescape that only sell items to members, and the good thing is that many of these items can be used by F2P players.

Rune Shops (F2P and Members)

This will work in any Rune shop for any level. (However, if you have access to the Magic Guild, you can literally make millions in minutes!) When you visit the rune shops you are looking for high volumes of runes that are in stock.

Mostly Death, Law, Cosmic, Chaos, Mind… any rune that is used greatly by mages. Mages rely on runes to play and gain experience. The best place I have found to sell Runes in large quantities is to visit the WizardTower and head up to the 3rd floor. On this floor is the caged Lesser De- mon, the are normally tons of mages here as this is the prime spot to level and gain magic experience for all levels

When you arrive just ask if anyone needs runes, or if they are running low. Mages hate to interrupt there training, and love it when they can find ?runners? to go get runes for them.

I personally am a mage and I actually have hired ?runners? to run back and forth from Varrock and other towns to buy runes from the shop, and I pay them 2-3 times more than they have purchased them for. This is just an example of how this can work.

Always remember to change worlds to try and sell your runes. You may also wish to take orders.

If you choose to do this, just write down what everyone wanted, (write down there username and how much of whatever runes they want- ed) Once you have this information, simply visit the rune shop purchase the runes (switch worlds to find more runes in stock.)

Tip: The more of an item in stock the less is costs. So watch the price, when it increases to high, switch worlds, over time the stock will regenerate, then you can come back and continue to buy.

Caniffs Clothes Shop (Member)

Have you ever wondered wear those colored gloves come from? Well here they are. This is another EASY way to make a quick profit. This shop houses many different colored robes, boot, and gloves. Red, Teal, Gold, Gray…

You may choose to only sell gloves, this is up to you. I always choose to buy complete outfits. (Gloves, Boots, Robes). Once you have bought what you would like to sell, log into a members world and go to the Varrock Marketplace.

Money Making Guide Part 2

Posted by: runescape  //  Category: Making Runescape Money

Now that you have earned 50-100k you are well on your way to making your first million!! This chapter will primarily focus on easy ways to make your money grow. Remember what I said earlier “It takes money to make money.” If you have not followed some of the ideas in Chapter 1, it is a must that you do so!

What is Bulk??

When trying to make money you always need to deal with bulk items.Bulk is simply a lot of items…generally over 1,000 of one item or more. So 5k feathers would be considered bulk. This goes for any item in the game.

When dealing with non-stack- able items such as ore or fish, you will always want to deal with bank notes. Without a bank note you could only carry 26 pieces of coal in your inventory. When you withdraw the coal in a note, you can carry for exam- ple 5k coal, and it will only take up one spot in your inventory bag.

If you notice an item is constantly being sold, but nobody is buying it, then there is a low demand for the item.On the other hand, if you notice people standing around the bank, screaming, ?Buying XXX,? and nobody is selling it, then you will learn that this item is in high demand.

Now it’s important to realize that this is just the general idea of how supply and demand work. You obviously wouldn’?t want to go by 3k of an item just because one person is looking for it (unless that one person is buying 3k of that item;)

You need to observe these trends to see how often people are asking to buy them, and how often people are selling them.

There are however a few items that have remained constant for at least 2 years in Runescape:

  • Lobster.
  • Coal.
  • Iron.
  • Feathers.
  • Herbs.

IronOre

I often use this same process and principles with Iron ore. I will travel to different worlds and buy as much Iron ore as I possibly can. I will only buy for 50-70 gp each, occasionally I will purchase for higher prices if the seller has a large amount (3k or more).

I generally offer to buy for 50 gp each. If the seller wants more than 60 gp I will simply refuse to buy it, and will log out of the world and into a new one. (Trust me there are plenty of sellers out there, lol). In world 1 you can always sell Iron ore for 100gp each. I normally try to buy ore in the Fallador bank, simply because this town is centralized with miners since the bank is so close to the mining guild and the mines southwest of Fally.

Cooked Lobsters

Cooked Lobsters currently are selling anywhere from 200-250gp each. Generally though you can find sellers that will sell Lobbies (Lobsters) for 125-150 each. These are the sellers you are looking for. One of the best ways to find a cheap lobby seller is to travel to Karamja (or Catherby if you are a member) and go the the fishing docks located there. You should sell all at the highest prices and buy a little higher than the lowest price.

That would conclude Chapter 2. Hope to see you in the next chapter!

Money Making Guide Part 1

Posted by: runescape  //  Category: Making Runescape Money

The first part of a Runescape guide that will show you some easy ways to make money.

To Make Money you Need Money

Plain and simple, just as it states! This is a simple rule in Runescape, before you can make BIG money you have to have some to start off with. Think of it as in real life; Do you think that Bill Gates woke up one morning with 5 million dollars in his bank account? NO, he started small and gradu- ally made it BIG.

There are a few easy ways to earn your first 50,000 to 100,000 gp. After you have earned this starting cash we will then show you the secrets of get- ting rich. But first things first: The first, easiest, and most common way is to kill chickens.

Members use feathers all the time for making arrows to raise their range or fletching levels. Simple enough right? Kill the chickens and collect the feathers. The chickens will drop between 5-15 feathers when they are killed. (If you are interested in raising your range or combat levels please refer to the combat/range/mage guides.

Listed below are the prices that people are currently buying for:

  • Free Worlds: 6-9gp each.
  • Members Worlds: 11-15gp each.

I know this may not sound like alot of money, but you have to think BIG. To make money with anything you have to sell in bulk amounts If you are F2P (free to play player), then you should always try to sell in World 1, if World 1 is full then log into the next busiest world, and so on.

More Ways to Get Your Starting GP

Luckily collecting feathers is not your only option! (Trust me, I know how boring this can get!) Another option you may consider, is to mine Rune Essence. In order to be able to mine Essence you will need to complete the Rune Mystery Quest first.

You can start this quest by talking to the King in Lumbridge castle. After you have completed the quest you will be able to teleport to the Rune Essence Mines. The easiest way to do this is to go to the Varrock Rune Shop south of the west bank. Here you can right click or talk to Aubury. He will then teleport you to the mines.

Once you have mined an inventory full of Rune Essence travel back to the bank. Repeat this until you have 1k or more Rune Essence.

Members Options

If you are a member you have a slight advantage. Members can make an easy 50k to 100k per hour at a lvl 3!! To achieve this all you need is a knife and an axe. You will be making arrow shafts.

All you need to do now is empty your inventory, keeping an axe and a knife only. Then just go start cutting down trees (normal trees only!). When you get a full load of wood then use your knife with a log. On the screen that pops up, right click on the arrow shafts, and select “Make X”, then just enter the number of logs that you have.

That would conclude this chapter of my Runescape Money Guide. Be sure to read the other chapters for good info!

Runescape Training Guide

Posted by: runescape  //  Category: Beginners' Guide, Holiday Guides, Lores and Histories, Lumbridge Tutors, Making Runescape Money

Almost all players of Runescape have been trained once in the Runescape life. Whether it’s about killing the men at Lumbridge or is about going one-on-one with some greater demons in wilderness, it is all considered as training. This Runescape Training Guide would allow choosing most efficient way for training also earning some of spare gold while at it.

When you start off with the Runescape, you would start with the Tutorial Island. This makes a great place for training while at the level 3. However, unfortunately you can only train till level 3 in any of the skills on the Tutorial Island. Once you are done with it, proceed to Lumbridge by talking to mage in final training at field. The Lumbridge could prove dangerous upto level 3 and same is anywhere in the Runescape. Do not take up the men in the Lumbridge for they might just kick the butts off after sometime. Depending on what you probably wish to be, you could take up various training areas. For instance, the warriors wouldn’t go to Goblin house east of the Lumbridge. Trading a little at Goblin house till you have collected about 10 coins would be a great idea. On earning 10 coins could be considered that you are trained.

In order to pass the age to the al-kharid, 10 coins are required. On entering, head towards the south till you have reached a house that is full of al-kharid warriors. Do not simply start attacking. Wait till someone attacks you and then you can start off. Until you have reached the 20 level, do not think of challenging the al-kharid warriors on own. The Runescape Training Guide doesn’t recommend on fighting. It’s recommended to train only the strength and then attack if being warrior. Dot train the defence till you have reached 40 + level. Most of the people get slaughtered while making money at 3 + levels, these levels being difficult. Monsters and the guards might attack you. If they happen to attack you then you are sure to lose all money.

People need to train till they have reached the level 35. This would make superb warriors in wilderness despite of its cost. The training for mages needs to be at enclosed space with loads of crannies and nooks, so that the monsters cannot possibly attack on you. The Varrock makes a great place for training as there is even a jail where the monks could be killed. If you happen to reach the jail guard’s place then you need to attack on the guards behind fence. On having enough ranging and maging, you can go to wizard’s tower and then attack lesser demons easily.

The Barbarian village makes a great place for training suggests Runescape Training Guide. The Flesh Crawlers having level 38 would hit the ones and adamant and the rune armour would protect from any consecutive type blows. Get on to second floor of dungeons and then turn on the auto retaliates. Good armour and 40 defence would make the training much easier. This Runescape Training Guide is a great place for training the non-members.

Runescape Crafting

Runescape Crafting

Let me guess, you’re out there in Runescape and all of a sudden you want to start crafting? Nothing wrong with that! It is a great skill to have. Nevertheless, to have it worthwhile, you have to have a high level. So, let me give you some quick ways to up that level of yours. I raised mine so that I could do the Lost City quest. I thought for a little while of a quick way to raise it from a low level. Then it hit me, Varrok! All you need is a couple buckets, a chef’s hat to get into the cooking guild, and a pick axe. First go to the cooking guild, then go south. Mine a bunch of clay and go inside the cooking guild. Fill the buckets with water and make soft clay. Now head to Barbarian Village and make them into Pots, Pie Dishes, Bowls, and so on to get those levels up.

Although I have not worked on my crafting since then, I have heard dozens of techniques on how to get crafting levels up. Actually, there are quite a few ways. Crafting offers many different things to make, and as such many different ways to get that experience. A few different things include, Leather, Snakeskin Leather, Dragonhide, Jewelry, and even some weapons! So lets look at the many different things that you can make.

Let’s start with Glass. There are eight different things you can make in the glass category. These include; the Bullseye Lantern Lens, an Orb, the Fish Bowl, a Vial, an Oil Lantern, the Oil Lamp, a Candle Lantern, and a Beer Glass. Beer Glasses can be made at level 1 crafting. You can also make Battle Staffs, which when you charge them also gives magic experience.

You can also make weapons and armor. You can make Lunar Armor with crafting, everything from the Torso to the Boots, to the Legs, and all the way back to the gloves. The experience for these ranges anywhere from 25-35 experience points according to what part you are crafting. Or you could use silver and craft a Silver Sickle which can be used as a weapon.

Ok, lets move on to Jewelry, which is one of my favorite crafting skills. You’re going to need a good smithing level, a friend with a good smithing level, or a lot of cash for this one. I prefer to mine and smith my own gold bars, and then make my own jewelry, so that I know it was all made by my hands. (Or my character’s hands that is, Ha-ha.)

Let’s talk about all the different gems. You have Onyx, Dragonstone, Red Topaz, Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds, Diamonds, Jade, and Opals! It can be very confusing if you’re out there trying to make an Opal ring. (This can’t be done.) So now, let’s see what CAN be made. There are about seven different types of each jewelry that can be made - Gold, Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, Dragonstone, and Onyx. These apply to Rings, Bracelets, Necklaces, and of course Amulets. Amulets can be strung into other sorts of Necklaces. Almost every jewelry can be enchanted to do something special. Like the Sapphire amulet can be stung and made into an Amulet of Magic, or a Emerald Ring into a Ring of Dueling. The possibilities are Limitless! (Well, they ARE limited.. but there are a lot of different things you can do with crafting.)

Crafting is a big skill. There are all kinds of stuff you can do with it, and Jagex is always thinking of new ones. So if you are ever bored one day, go out and craft!

Best Runescape Melee Weapons

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Beginners' Guide, Holiday Guides, Making Runescape Money, Runescape Banks Guide, Runescape Cheats, free runescape money, runescape

Best Runescape Melee Weapons

If you are looking for the Best Runescape Melee Weapons, then look no further. I’m about to show you what are considered the Best Runescape Melee Weapons.

For those free to play members, Rune is the best. There are three different weapons that are always being argued are the best. These are, Rune Scimitar, Rune 2-handed sword, and the Rune Battle Axe. Rune Scimitars are fast, accurate and can pack a punch. Rune 2-handed swords are slow, you cannot wear a shield with them, but they make up for this with their strong hits. The Rune Battle Axe is in between these. Slower than the Rune Scimitar but faster than the Rune 2-handed sword. It is the same with the damage. You CAN wear a shield with the Rune Battle Axe.

Best in the Dragon category has also been argued. I believe the two favorite ones are the Dragon Long Sword and the Dragon Dagger Poisoned. You do not see many people walking around with Dragon Scimitars or Dragon Maces. These are very costly could be one reason.

Of course, the “Best Runescape Melee Weapons” differ from person to person. If you have someone with low attack, The Granite Mual might be the best for him or her. Alternatively, maybe someone likes speed, so his or her best would be the Abbysal Whip. So, if you were to proclaim your weapon the best weapon, would it really be the best? Maybe to you, but to someone else, it would not be. To a person off of Tutorial Island, an Iron dagger would be the best weapon.

So after realizing what the Best Runescape Melee Weapons are, let’s see if you can find the best one for you. If your new, try to gain some attack and strength levels. Once you have them, try getting some Black weapons. Then on to Mith. One your at adamant you have a pretty good level. Then get it to 40 and fork out the cash for a rune scimitar. Now, if your member I would work on your strength. A Granite Mual use to be, and still is one of my favorite weapons.

There are many many weapons proclaimed as the best. However, I will indeed mention one called the Saradomin Sword. It has also been called the SS. It is a beautiful design; its hits are quite good. However, it’s a sword version of the Whip. Its +82 slash and strength and +60 crush. When you use the Special Attack, it drains the whole bar. It is a very strong sword. Is it the best? Doubt it.

There are hundreds of different weapons out there. In addition, Jagex is always adding to it. So don’t be so quick to judge one weapon better than another does. It really depends on the situation. Obviously if you have a dragon long sword and a bronze short sword, the dragon sword is the best weapon in that situation.

Now that you have a different view on the best weapons, why not go out there and see if you can find the best weapon for you, instead of the all around best weapon. It will be a much easier task than finding a weapon that everyone can proclaim the best. Unless you have super awesome mind control powers

Runescape Combat Triangle

Runescape Combat Triangle

The Runescape Combat Triangle is an in-depth yet simple battle method to ensure success in the wilderness, most likely. Basically, it’s a Rock Paper Scissors situation. Although there are many other factors, this is what the Runescape Combat Triangle is based on. Let me break it down for you.

» Meelee beats Range.
» Range beats Mage.
» Mage beats Meelee.

Simple enough? Let’s see why this rule applies.

Meelee vs. Range:
If you’re out there using Meelee, and you come across a Ranger, your plate armor is going to reflect a lot of the Ranger’s arrows and cause little to no damage to you. Then you can advance on the Ranger and slash through the weak leather. Once your close enough to hit them, they are practically powerless because their arrows do even less damage.

Range vs. Mage:
Ok, you’re a Ranger this time. You happen to spot a mage, and you send a flow of arrows their way. The Magic Robes they wear lowers their long-range defenses. Thus, the arrows just fly right into them. Your leather protects greatly against the magic attacks. Also, a Mage takes quite awhile to recharge and fire again, while a ranger is quick on the battle field.

Mage vs. Meelee:
Alright, Mage you are. You’re out strolling around with a pocket full of runes, Then… What’s that? Some guy with Rune on! You start casting some spells, which his heavy armor will make the magic attack stronger. You keep your distance, as he tries to get close enough for an attack his armor slows him down. All the while your firing huge magic attacks on him.

Now that you have a basic idea of how the Runescape Combat Triangle works, lets talk about how you can change the rules for a better advantage.

Meelee vs. Range Turn out 2:
Say the Ranger has Full Green Dragonhide, Great stats, about 25 magic. As your trying to get closer to him, he keeps using Bind on you. This is holding you a good distance away from him, and all the while, you’re just getting pounded over and over by his arrows. In this situation, the Ranger can win. If you eventually get close to the ranger, he can simply bind you again, and switch to a shortbow, or just run a little further away.

Range vs. Mage Turn out 2:
This time, the mage was prepared for a surprise attack from a ranger, and brought along some plate legs and a shield. Regardless of the magical drain it gives, the mage is able to block a lot of your attacks, and send waves of magic at you. This battle could go on for awhile, but most likely the mage would win.

Meelee vs. Mage Turn out 2:
This time the guy with rune on decided to bring a set of Dragonhide just in case. He slips it on real fast, along with an Anti-Dragon Breath Shield. Your magic is doing little to no damage now. He runs up and begins slashing through those weak mage robes. Slash after slash your health bar goes down, you try to teleport, but you’re too deep in the wilderness! You try to run, but after five steps you fall.

So there you have it. Obviously, this is Runescape, and as such, anything is possible. The Runescape Combat Triangle is not always a fact. No matter how many people say it is, it is not. There are so many opinions out there to do things. Especially about Player Killing

Runescape Summoning

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Holiday Guides, Making Runescape Money, Runescape Banks Guide, free runescape money, runescape

Runescape Summoning

The Runescape Summoning skill was unleashed the 15th of January 2008. It is Members-only. It’s a fairly new skill, I have tried it…, but it was not my favorite. The basic idea is to be able to Summon beings called Familiars using different items. These Familiars can be used for many different things, according to which you summoned. A lot of them can be used for helping in attacks. If you have 10 levels over the Familiar that you summoned, you can talk to it! With some exceptions, of course.

Summoning Pouches are used to summon the Familiars. You have to have a lot of materials to summon a Familiar. First, you will need an empty pouch. Then the number of Spirit Shards needed to summon your particular familiar, a Charm, and the component needed to summon your particular Familiar. I buy my Sprit Shards and Pouches from Pikkupstix in Taverly. Charms are best gotten by Monster Drops.

If you wanted to make a Summoning Scroll to have your Familiars use their special moves, you would need to make a complete Summoning Pouch, and then use it on an obelisk, and it would turn your pouch into 10 scrolls. There are seven different types of specialties, Fighting, Light Enchancers, Skill Boosters, Remote Views, Beast of Burden, Heals, and Foraging.

Fighting of course means your Familiar with fight along your side (only in multi-combat areas.)

Light Enhancers will make any light that you are holding (candle, lantern, so on) brighter.

Skill Boosters make your skills go up, simple enough, right?

Remote View, now this is an interesting one. They can fly up and let you see through their eyes thus having a “bird’s eye view”.

The Beast of Burden specialty is able to carry items. Healer, of course heals you.

Foraging will find different items every now and then; it can carry 30 of the items.

Pets are a fun addition to this skill. If you have ever seen the cats that follow people, these are a lot like them. There are many different types of pets. From a Bulldog to a Giant Crab to a Zamorak Hawk to a Baby Dragon! The Cats are not classified as pets. You will have to complete the Wolf Whistle quest to get any pets. You ARE allowed more than one pet. You have to have 10 levels above the last one to get Say your level 12 summoning, then you’re allowed 2 pets. However, you cannot have 2 of the same pets. Therefore, if you have a Saradomin Owl, you cannot have another Saradomin Owl.

You can store scrolls in “headdresses”. Some Headdresses are not Summoning Specific, so you will have to go to Pikkupstix to get them enchanted, for free I might add. Some Headdresses Include: Antlers, Feather Headdress, Rune Full Helm, Any Fremennik Helmets, and Dragon Medium Helm. Headdresses can be very helpful in situations where you have to act fast. They can also be useful when you have to save room in your inventory.

As I said above, personally this is not a skill that I am interested in. However, for a lot of people, this is good fun. (I would not want to meet someone in the wilderness with a Familiar by their side, I can tell you that.)

Runescape Clan Chat

Runescape Clan Chat

Runescape Clan Chat can be a great way to stay in touch with your Player Killing team. I use to own a clan; it was called the Brothers of the Bone. We all dressed in red robes, and it was flat out fun. The Clan Chat helped a lot to keep track of all the members. The Runescape Clan Chat can be used for other things than just Clan Chats. If you want to hold a meeting with a couple people and still be all over Runescape, the Clan Chat can be a massive help.

Let’s talk about Creating a Clan Chat. First, go to your Clan Chat tab. Then click on Clan Setup.
This button will pop up a window with many different things. Lets start with the tabs on the
left.

Clan Name: Click on this and you can type in the name you want your Clan Chat to be called. (Note: you can only put up to 12 letters.)

Who can enter chat? This is the lowest rank allowed to enter the chat. There are Many different choices to these, and they are
» Anyone
» Any Friends
» Recruits
» Corporal
» Sergeant
» Lieutenant
» Captain
» General
» Only Me

This is the same for Who can kick on chat? and Who can share loot? Accept on the second one there is a No-One option. You can Access these menus by right clicking on these tabs. CoinShare is a loot sharing option of your going to fight monsters; the drops will be shared between the groups.

On the right, you will see your friends list and a lot of Not in Clans. If you right click where it
says Not in clan you will get a drop down menu like the others, and you can assign your friends roles in the clan.

Joining a Clan Chat is fairly simple. You simply press Join Chat and type in their name. You also have to do this with your own Clan Chat, every time you log in.

You can also mute the clan chat, or any other chat for that matter, using the tabs down below by Report Abuse. Simply right click to get the menu and select Off Clan.

Now that you know all about the Clan Chat, why not get out there and recruit? You can become the biggest and best clan in Runescape with a little help from the Runescape Clan Chat. Remember, Clan Chat is your friend! Let me give you some good tips for where to find powerful people to recruit. Not in Lumbridge, Not in Varrok. These places are noob city. For Free to Play members, I would check Falador. Usually the higher levels hang out in Falador. For Pay to Play, Try the Duel Arena or Castle Wars. Especially at Castle Wars, that’s where many of the really high levels like to show off their skills. If you’re daring enough, try skimming the back of the wilderness, but a lot of the time they are not going to listen to you back there. If you can recruit those ones that hang out in the back of the wilderness, then your Clan will be unstoppable.
