Runescape Wilderness

Over the years, I have heard hundreds upon hundreds of Runescape Wilderness tips. A lot of them have just been repeated over and over until the information is just common knowledge. So first I will share what I do when I plan to PK, then I will move on to some other Runescape Wilderness tips.

When I am preparing to go to the wilderness I first will put on a Rune platebody, some Rune Platelegs, and a Rune Scimitar. These are my “three things” that you cannot loose unless you’re skulled. Then I head over to the Grand Exchange and buy about 100 Tuna Fish. They are cheap, and heal a fair amount of health. I will grab any other items I may need and then fill the rest of the inventory with the Tuna. Normally I am venturing out there to kill Greater Demons, and the rules pretty much are the same for when I am PKing. I almost never attack someone. That will get you skulled and then you risk it all. However, if you can find someone, normally they will attack you. If they do not attack you right off, brag about how nooby they are and tell them to prove their power. Anything you can to get them skulled and not you. Now, if you see a guy with about half of his health bar down, and you know you can beat him, go ahead and attack. But be weary, you never know who is lurking in the shadows.

Now let me give you some tips I have heard through the ages.

Back when I was a lower level, I said I was going to go PKing, and they told me to wait and get level 25 prayer. This will allow you to keep one extra item. I really don’t use this prayer anyways, but it’s a good skill to have just in case. I have also heard that even if you have a skull on your head it will protect an item. I will have to look into this; maybe I could have been saving all those rune scimitars I lost, Haha.

I would recommend getting about 45 prayer so that you will be able to use protection spells incase of an attack. Once they see that little symbol pop up, they will know they are doomed.

If you can get a group of friends that you can trust, group PK’s are definitely the best. I remember once I was out in the wilderness and all of a sudden on my map a flood of people, probably at least 70 of them were rushing at me. They were all in pink skirts and I was dead so fast that they all didn’t even get there yet.

Another good idea would be to wear ranger’s armor if you’re a meelee. You would be safe from Mages, and a lot of PKers are mages now. But you might want to keep a spare plate body, just incase some ranger came out of the darkness.

If you have ever heard of the Muddy Chest and you are wondering where it is in the Runescape Wilderness, then you have come to the right place. The Muddy Chest can be located in the Lava Maze right in the center. Watch out for the Lesser Demons that prowl around there. The chest can be opened by one key, and only one key. The key is called the Muddy Key. You can obtain one from killing the Chaos Dwarfs. The chest will contain random items such as an anchovy pizza, an uncut gem, so on so fourth.

Now, that you know some tips about the Runescape Wilderness, why not get out there and try them? Never know what you will find out there.

Runescape Clue Scroll

Runescape Clue Scroll

If you’re bored and wondering around Runescape, why not attack that Guard over there? You never know, it might drop a Runescape Clue Scroll. If you have a Clue Scroll, then its time to start your treasure trail. There are three different levels of Treasure Trails, each with a better reward than the last. To get a higher level Clue Scroll you have to kill a higher-level monster. For a level one clue scroll, you will have to kill a monster between the levels of 2 and 48, for level two you will have to kill ones in the range of 21 to 149 and for level three you will need to kill in the levels of 56-304.

There are a couple other ways to get a Runescape Clue Scroll other than killing monsters. One way is with Shade Chests. A Bronze chest would give you a level one clue scroll, the Steel chest hands out level one and two, the Black Chests give level two, and the Silver Chests toss out level threes. You could also pickpocket H.A.M. members to get a level one clue scroll. If you happen into the Zogre Cavern and get a key from one of the monsters, use the key on one of the coffins and you might get a nice level one clue scroll.

Once you have your Clue Scroll, you’re going to have to do various tasks to get your treasure, such as solving Anagrams, doing hard Math problems, and following maps. I am going to help you solve your Clue Scroll. Lets start with the Math Problems.

» How many people are waiting for the next Bard to perform? 4
» How many buildings are there in the village? 11

What is 19 to the power of 3? 6859
What is 57×89+23? 5096

Runescape Strength Training

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Beginners' Guide, Holiday Guides, Making Runescape Money, Runescape Autofighter, free runescape money, runescape, runescape accounts

Runescape Strength Training

To do well in melee you are going to need good Strength levels. These levels can be obtained by using the Aggressive attack style while training. There are also many different ways to temporarily boost your Strength.

If you are going to train to get your levels, I would suggest killing goblins. They are quick to kill and give a fair amount of experience points. It is always better to kill something fast and get smaller exp. than take longer to kill something and get more.

Let’s say that I go kill a goblin, it will take about 2 to 3 hits and its dead, and I will get around 40 experience. It only takes about 2 seconds, then I am on to another, and it keeps going on and on getting 40 exp. per kill.

Now say I go kill a Minotaur. It takes me 7 hits and I get 50 experience points. That’s only 10 more than a goblin, and it takes way longer. I could kill 3 goblins in the time it takes to kill 1 Minotaur!

You can also get Strength experience points in quests. These quests include;

» Scorpion Catcher = 6,625 strength xp
» Heroes Quest = 3,075 strength xp
» Tai Bwo Wannai Trio = 2,500 strength xp
» Haunted Mine = 22,000 strength xp
» In Search of the Myreque = 600 strength xp
» Dragon Slayer = 18,650 strength xp
» Roving Elves = 10,000 strength xp
» Troll Romance = 4,000 strength xp
» In Aid of the Myreque = 2,000 strength xp
» Monkey Madness = 20,000 or 35,000 strength xp
» Waterfall Quest = 13,750 strength xp
» The Fremennik Trials = 2,812 strength xp

There are also various ways to give quick boosts to your Strength; this is very useful if you are suddenly attacked. One way is through the Prayer skill. There are three different prayers that will boost your Strength; these are the Burst of Strength, Superhuman Strength, and Ultimate Strength. Each give a certain percentage boost, ranging from 5 to 15.

Another way is drinking Potions. The most commonly known potion is the Strength Potion. This will boost your Strength anywhere from 3 to 12 levels. Then there is the Super Strength Potion which will boost anywhere from 5 to 19! The Zamorak Potion is one of the lesser known potions, it will give a boost anywhere from 3 to 11.

You can also drink Beer to increase your strength, but it will take away from your attack. A normal glass gives a boost of 4, and takes 8 attack away. If you were to drink a Keg of Beer, you would have an increase of 7 in strength, but with a great decrease of attack.

You can also get bonuses by what sort of sword and armor you wear. For instance, if you were to wear Rune Gloves, you would get a bonus of +8. A Dragon Two-Handed Sword will give you a bonus of +93!

If you were to wear a Dragon Longsword, a Berserker Necklace, a Fire Cape, Barrows Gloves, Rune Boots, an Obsidian Shield, the Helm of Neitiznot, and the Bandos Chestplate, besides looking completely ridiculous you would have a total strength bonus of +108! There are many not so crazy looking ways to boost your Strength Stat, this was just an example.

Runescape Auto Fighter

Runescape Auto Fighter

If you have ever talked to players in Runescape (and most likely, you have) then I am sure you have heard the term autoer, macro, and bot, so on so fourth. There are no hacks for Runescape, you cannot type in a code and get everything. Sadly, players found a way to cheat. They built macros that will play the game for you. Although there are a lot of them, most are easily detectable, and will get your account banned within the hour. I do not in any way support using macros; in fact, I am completely against them. Anyone who has to cheat for what they want deserve the ban that they will receive.

I am sure many of you are wondering why Jagex bans people for using these bots. Well, the most obvious reason is it is unfair to the rest of the players. Keep in mind however; this is not their only reason. Many of these so-called Runescape Auto Fighters are really just computer viruses called key loggers. These viruses will copy every key you type and send it to the creator of the program. This means that if you log into Runescape with a key logger, then your account is as good as gone. A keylogger can be very dangerous to more than just your account. As I said, it will log EVERY key that you type. So if you buy something with your credit card online, then the maker of the program will have your credit card information.

On January 19 2006, Jagex took a stand against these cheaters and showed them they meant business. They banned 15,000 accounts for using these macros. They also posted on their front page that they can easily detect these bots and it is only a matter of time until you will be banned. Jagex still bans thousands of accounts a month because of these programs. Jagex has built special bots of their own to seek and ban anyone that uses these macros. Although this is an excellent way of stopping botters, they cannot do it on their own. The creators of the bots have built better ones to slip past Jagex. It is only a matter of time till Jagex makes new programs to hunt those, but until then, reporting people you see using macros will greatly help out Jagex.

The Report Abuse button is located at the bottom of your screen. It is not hard to miss, as it is red and says Report Abuse on it. This is one red button that should be touched, Haha. Do not let people cheat, if they do not get caught, they will think it is ok, and it is NOT ok. How would you like to have worked for a week to get full rune, and then a guy got it by cheating? Would not like it a lot I bet.

The Runescape Auto Fighter will “automatically” fight monsters in Runescape. This allows you to leave the computer and do something else. If your account gets banned for cheating, there is no chance of getting it back. Jagex does NOT give you the proof of your cheating. Here is why:

“Our policy has always been that we do not tolerate any form of cheating. We do not ban accounts lightly. Significant evidence is always collected before any action is taken against a player. We will not reveal the evidence that we have collected, since most cheats only want to know the evidence so that they can avoid getting caught the next time.”

As you can see, Jagex does not give any wiggle room when it comes to cheating. Remember, cheaters never win. Mining coal yourself is a much better way. If you do it yourself, you cannot be banned! Then while the thousands of cheaters get banned, you will be making loads of gold.

Runescape High Definition

Runescape High Definition

If you played Runescape before the High Definition update, then I am sure you are very pleased they finally updated. Runescape use to look very bad compared to the other Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Games. Although they are still not the best graphic-wise, I am sure this new update will urge players to come back. Runescape is web-based, and as such it can not run excellent graphics as the other games you download can.

Runescape first introduced the High Definition on July 1, 2008 to pay to play members only. 13 days later, they released it to Free to play members. There are still some differences between free to play and pay to play, such as Pay to play members can go into full screen play. Jagex plans to implement this into free to play, but they must first find a way to advertise in full screen mode.

Jagex has also released many other updates along with the High Definition one. They have completely redone their banking system. Now it is fully equipped to help you organize your bank! There is a search bar, and you can even create up to eight tabs! Along with that, they have also brought Item Lending into the game. Now you can lend out many of your items. This includes dozens of Runescape’s best weapons and armor! They also redid the Tutorial Island, everything from the creation of your player to the explorations of Runescape.

Lumbridge is now a whole new place where you can make some quick coins. Here is a quote from the Official Runescape News;

“In return for completing some tasks, you can receive a modest, but prompt, payment from various people in our Lumbridge Moneymaking update. So, if you’re feeling poor, the people of Lumbridge will help you to recover your finances - in return for a little hard work.”

Finally, they have brought in the very first Achievement Diary for free players! Just head on over to Explorer Jack to start the Lumbridge and Draynor Achievement Diary! So as you can see, Jagex has been very busy.

They are always trying to improve your playing experience. Whether it be making better graphics or busting bugs, these guys are always on the job.

I like the idea of the Item Lending System. You can loan items for a certain amount of time, from1 to 24 hours, along with many other options. Some players have been lending their items out for money. This is how it works;

They put up the item in the lending box in this case; we will say a Rune Plate Body. Then they pick the time. This has been implemented into the Runescape Trading System, so the other person can then put up money. (Runescape trading limits apply.) Therefore, once the trade is complete, the person will have their Rune Plate Body for so many hours, and the other person will have the money. This was happening before Jagex decided to put it into trade, they decided on this as a safety measure. As players could have used this as a way to scam others. (I.E. Money first, then item… never give the item.) Runescape high definition is just one advancement we have seen in the last few months. Be on the watch out for more up and coming cool things coming to Runescape for your playing pleasure. We will keep you posted if we hear of any new fun things to try or even a few others options that make your playing an exciting adventure. Happy Playing!

Runescape Gravestones

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Christmas 2008 Event Guide, Making Runescape Money, Runescape Autofighter

Runescape Gravestones

Death is very common in the game of Runescape. If you die, you will respawn in Lumbridge most likely. If you do die, you will be able to keep 3 of your most valuable items. There are some exceptions of course. Runescape Gravestones allow you a chance to get those lost items back. You will have 2 to 5 minutes to get to the place you died before your gravestone rots away. Players can also repair and bless your gravestone so that it can stay there longer. This gives you an even greater chance of getting those lost items back to their rightful owner.

The value of an item is decided by the game, not market value. So make sure you check what items will be kept on death. It would be a shame to loose a party hat just because you died. Everyone starts out with a Memorial Plaque as his or her gravestone. This gives you 2 minutes to get back there. There are other Runescape Gravestones that you can get. Free to play members can get a Flag (50 gold), a Small Gravestone (500 gold), or an Ornate Gravestone (5,000 gold). All of them except the Ornate Gravestone allow you 2 minutes. The Ornate Gravestone will give you 3 minutes.

To get these gravestones you will have to have completed the Restless Ghost quest. After you have completed it, you can talk to Father Aereck in the Lumbridge Church to get one. If you are a member and have completed The Giant Dwarf quest, you can talk to Blasidar the Sculptor in Keldagrim to get access to even better gravestones. Blasidar’s house is east of the Consortium Palace. These gravestones are;

Font of Life - 4 minutes 50,000 gold
Stele - 4 minutes 50,000 gold
Symbol of Saradomin - 4 minutes 50,000 gold
Symbol of Zamorak - 4 minutes 50,000 gold
Symbol of Guthix - 4 minutes 50,000 gold
Symbol of Bandos - 4 minutes 50,000 gold
Symbol of Armadyl - 4 minutes 50,000 gold
Ancient Symbol - 4 minutes 50,000 gold
Angel of Death - 5 minutes 500,000 gold

500,000 is a lot of money for a gravestone, isn’t it? If you happen to have one of these Pay to Play gravestones and die in a free to play world, it will still show up! This will make it a lot easier to find your expensive gravestone among those that are made of cheap wood. These gravestones are a great way of showing where you stand in Runescape. Whether you follow Saradomin, Guthix, Zamorak, Bandos, Armadyl, or even the lesser known gods that were around before the time of Azzanadra, Runescape Gravestones are the perfect way to show loyalty to your god. If you do not follow a god, the Stele or the Font of Life is still very fashionable.

Alternatively, if you want to show off your true wealth, the Angel of Death Gravestone is the perfect one for you, though if you’re that rich, I do not see your dieing very often. Haha, Happy Playing!

Downloading Runescape Tools and Autoers

Downloading Runescape Tools and Autoers

Searching online for various tools, programs and autoer hacks are one of the things that Runescape players will surely look for on the web. For one, most players do not want to be tied down to their computer and recurrently do the usual actions needed to acquire that certain skill gain increase for their characters. The web is full of such programs, but the risks involved that include Trojans and malicious spyware infections must be considered. Runescape programs which are offered entirely free should always draw the suspiciousness of any player, a practice that most web browsers would do if they are offered something free over the Internet.

This typical resort for most Runescape players when it comes to finding the easiest way to be able to aid them in the course of their game play in Runescape is normal. Such programs are developed entirely to help enhance the joy of playing online games, There have been an abundant of games that have been developed online and outside the regular course of playing, online players such as those of Runescape try to search or even develop programs to automate actions and keystrokes. These are usually referred to as macro techniques, allowing people to leave their computer on while each move and command can be done independently.

Many would consider such recourse as a form of cheating. But in reality, considering that automating the movements and keystrokes in a computer window while away from it is really fair and tolerable. There is no breach in the program that is being exploited as far as using these autoers and doing a certain procedure for skill gain in Runescape over and over. Unlike the exploits in Runescape that other veteran Runescape players would resort to, all is legal for autoers that want to achieve skill mastery in the game.

It cannot be discounted as well that specific programs such as Automagic, which allows a player to raise his skill to 60 in day, may be discovered and implemented by most Runescape players. But the entire issue about Runescape cheating should be left at the hands of the game administrators for to resolve. Cheats should be considered as challenges to which glitches should be attended to. Besides, most online games are prone to such discovered hacks and cheats. This only show that game development alone is not sufficient to ensure a bug free game server, and the game scripts such as those in Runescape is not an exception to it. In a way, it is best to discover such Runescape cheats and hacks so that further game improvement can enumerate them in the game issues that need to be addressed. Once resolved, most Runescape players can expect a fair game to play in the manner that it is expected to be.

Formation Of Runescape Clans

Formation Of Runescape Clans

Taking on the world alone is a rough destiny, even for players who are hooked up in the Runescape fever today. Runescape clans and groups make the ordeal a whole lot enjoying. Aside from building a large group of players who want to form a pact and brotherhood to watch each other’s back, Runescape clans help in doing away with the boring and usual solo flight players who just don’t know what they are missing.

Runescape clans help make activities such as adventuring and protection a whole lot enjoyable. While some would have their hesitations, since trust is something that Runescape has many definitions, there are players who simply want to be in a group and be accepted into a family type of environment. Usually, Runescape clans that are formed would identify and select the areas of specialization by certain players. This is primarily to ensure that the needs, importance and roles of the players accepted in the clans can be clearly defined without having conflicts such as overlapping of responsibilities and sibling rivalries within them. This is not to say that usual Runescape clans would close the doors for all clan applicants, but rather a foundation to which successfully formed clans originate.

Clans would usually have internal policies within the ranks. The overall clan leader will be the one responsible in making sure that all of the needs of the clan will be put in perspective. It is not merely about taking in the most number of players interested, but the selection process also needs proper dissection and criticism. For one, the purpose of a player joining any clan should be defined. It cannot be discounted that players may just be joining forces with a group for protection and to get a sense of confidence with regards to tangling with other players online who are affiliated with other clans as well.

But for the players who join clans for the purpose of contributing and wanting to strengthen a clan by pledging their loyalty and maximizing their skills as their main cup of tea, such would be what clan leaders are looking for. Stepping up and taking on larger roles other than pure membership is what makes Runescape clans successful. A clan develops its character by the players who compose it. It is not purely for prestige and honor but for harmony in the clan as well.

Runescape clans are known to make the Runescape a whole lot exciting, since discovering and battling the usual NPC’s and engaging in clan wars adds another reason for Runescape being a widespread popular online game today. With a test of mettle and skills by players anywhere, this is a test of skills for the best clan groups and players of Runescape as well.

Runescape Hacks

Runescape Hacks

Runescape is one of the most popular massively multiplayer online role playing games ever in the history of gaming. Never has a game such as Runescape taken the world completely by storm and managed to make such a huge impact on the gaming scene. Such is the popularity of Runescape that the online gaming community all over the world has not stopped raving about this game since the day of its introduction. Runescape has found such a large degree of acceptance over the world and the ten million and more users are ample testament to this fact. Runescape is set in a fantasy world and a user has to take control of a single individual character and has to complete a whole host of challenges and quest in order to progress through the levels and also to develop the character thoroughly.

Hacks and cheats are common in the world of gaming through the last couple of decades and these hacks and cheats keep on multiplying with each and every day that passes. Hacks and cheats are at times the most searched things on major search engines for Runescape. However there is one thing that has to be kept in mind by a lot of people who are looking to find cheats and hacks for Runescape but the thing that they always seem to forget is that the core software of Runescape is one of the safest and one of the strongest in the world of gaming.

There is not a single Runescape hack that can work inside the core system of Runescape. One thing which does not help hackers and Runescape hacks from working is that Runescape is a totally browser based game and the user does not download any software or files for this particular software. Due to this there are absolutely no files or programs which can be altered or hacked and the Jagex security team has a very foolproof security model which prevents Runescape hacks from working.

There are various web sites which offer a variety of Runescape hacks but it is highly improbable that any of these hacks work and most of the times these hacks are highly well planned scams where the web site requests an individual to give out his Runescape user id and password and the user finds out that his Runescape account has been hacked or has simply disappeared from the Runescape servers or has been sold on another web site. One thing that people who are hunting for Runescape hacks have to accept is that none of the hacks they find are going to make an impact on the game and there is a very slim chance that the strong core software lets in an unidentified program and thus almost no Runescape hacks which are advertised on the web sites as being highly potent ever work. One very good thing to protect one’s account from these Runescape hacks scams is to never give out the username and the password of a Runescape account. People who are found trying to tinker or force a way into Runescape servers are usually served with legal lawsuits and thus it is not a very good idea to hack into Runescape servers or look for Runescape hacks.
