Runescape Hunter

Friendly Greetings! If you’re looking for a bit of fun, the Runescape Hunter skill is just for you! I started hunting when the skill first came out. It was quite exiting. The thrill of another kill they say, Haha. To me, Hunting was for fun, and my level really didn’t matter. However, as time went on it did indeed get higher and higher. After staying out in the wilds for many weeks, I eventually moved on. But this skill is by far my favorite.

Let’s talk about how to get started. I wandered around for a good hour or so in the beginning trying to figure out what to do. The first thing I hunted was Polar Kebbits. They are north of the entrance to Keldagrim. At level 23, you can hunt Wild Kebbits. As I said, I spent many weeks out in the wilds, there were quite a few different things you could hunt there, and usually I would have some Deadfalls and Bird Snares up. Other times I would box trap ferrets and then use them to catch rabbits. When you start, you will have to track. It’s not my favorite type of hunting, but still fun. You can put bait on your traps if you want, Usually I put the raw birds I got from the bird snares on the Deadfall traps.

If you have completed the Eagles’ Peak Quest, you can hunt Ferrets. You can use the Ferrets you get to flush out the rabbits into the snares. Catching rabbits is tricky, because you never know what hole they are going to pop out of. Eventually you will master catching the rabbits and be off on something else.

One of my favorite parts of Hunting is the outfits you can make with them. You can truly live out in the woods and never have to go to the city. (Except to make the clothes of course.) All you need is an axe, maybe a couple traps, and a Tinderbox. Other than that, everything you would need is out in the wilds. Food you can get from the animals, their furs for clothes, and chop your own wood! In my opinion, the best outfits are the Larupia and Kyatt. Not even dragon armor is as cool as that

If your level 71 hunting and you are looking for something useful, Imps are the way to go! As long as you are not past the level 30 wilderness line, Imps can take two objects (or two stacks of objects) from your inventory to your bank! This could come in very handy.

Falconary is a load of fun. Out in the wilds you can pay Matthias 500 gold to rent a falcon. You can use these falcons to fly out and get a Spotted Kebbit, a Dark Kebbit, or a Dashing Kebbit. These can be turned into capes or gloves.

To hunt using pitfalls, you will need some logs, a Knife and a Teasing Stick. First, find an empty pit. Use the logs on it, and you will set the trap up. Now take the teasing stick and tease the Larupias, Horned Graahks, or Saber-toothed Kyatts. They will begin to chase you. Jump over the pit and hope that they fall in. Sometimes These animals will catch you before you can make it over, so you may want to bring some food, especially you lower levels.

Now that you know a little about Hunting, get out there and try it, and remember Hunting is a great skill. If you make it too serious, it will loose its purpose. So instead of worrying about experience and such, just Have fun with it!

Runescape Mining Bots

Runescape Mining Bots

Have you have ever heard the term “Runescape Macros”? How about, “Runescape Bots“? They have many names, but they are all the same. Although I know exactly what a macro is in Runescape, I thought I would do some research and see what a macro was outside of Runescape.

Macroing in Runescape:
Basically, when you use a Runescape bot, you are using a program that will play the game for you. There are many different types of these, such as; Mining Bots, Woodcutting Bots, Attacking Bots, but they all do the same thing, get levels. This is against the rules of Runescape. Jagex bans thousands of accounts a month due to these cheats. I cannot tell people enough, cheating is NOT the answer. If people would just do the work themselves, then there would be no problem.

Macroing outside of Runescape:
As I promised, I researched and this is what I found; “A macro is a way to automate a task that you perform repeatedly or on a regular basis. It is a series of commands and actions that can be stored and run whenever you need to perform the task. You can record or build a macro, and then play the macro to automatically repeat the series of commands or actions.”

Therefore, the reason we have macros for Runescape is… The game is built to where you have to do repetitive actions to gain levels. Scripter’s realized this, and decided that it sounded like a job for a macro. Now you have many of these macros out there.

Risks of using a Macro in Runescape:
Using a Macro in Runescape is just asking for a ban. These programs are EASILY detectable, and when you are caught using one, Jagex will show no mercy. They feel strongly that cheating is bad, and so do I. It is just so much easier to mine the ore yourself. Then, you do not have the risk of loosing your account. That should be enough of a reason in itself. Its not? Well, then let me give you some MORE reasons;

Let’s say that everyone in Runescape just up and decided to use these cheats. Let’s also say that Jagex did not care what so ever and let it happen. In about a month, everyone would have level 99 everything. Prices would drop dramatically because there would be so much of a surplus. Such as, one player would own 100M of Dragon Longswords. Tell me, would the game be fun anymore? For the first few days maybe? After that, it would get boring. There would be no point in using your skills because, everyone else would have it as well. What’s the point of dueling, everyone is the same!

So now, you understand why Jagex does not allow these macros. In fact, on January, 19, 2006 Jagex banned over 15,000 Runescape accounts due to this. They also have a system that detects any OTHER accounts used by the player. This prevents them from making a throwaway account that they do not care about. Do not think that you can cheat and it not affects your other accounts. Happy Playing

From Bronze to Rune to God, Armor makes the game interesting. Bronze is the cheapest and weakest armor that you can get. Rune on the other hand, is one of the best. Both in Free to play and pay to play. Although there are better armors out there, Rune is the most popular. Because of its cheap price, its availability, and its power, Rune is considered a favorite among most people. Some of these “better armors” include Dragon, God, and Gilded. Some armors are not for protection, however, but more decorative. Such as castle wars armor. Very pretty, and One of them looks a lot like dragon armor trimmed in blue, though its almost worthless.

Not all armors are made of metal. Some are made of leather, dragon hide, or even cloth. Many items we think of are in fact armor that we don’t think is armor. Gloves and boots are armor. Shields are armor as well. Granite is a popular armor. It’s very expensive and very strong.

Armor is different for each type of player. I will list some of the armors and whom they are for.

Armor for warriors include: Bronze, Iron, Khazard, Steel, Black, Mithril (or mith for short), Temple Initiate Armor, Adamant, Proselyte Armor, Rune, Granite, Dragon, Crystal, Barrows, and Lunar.

Armor for Mages: Elemental, Splitbark, Mystical Robes, and Ghost robes.

Armor for Rangers: Leather, Hardened Leather, Studded Leather, Snakeskin Armor, Green Dragonhide, Blue Dragonhide, and Black Dragonhide.

Some decorative armor’s are: Golden Helmet. Spiny Helmet, Bearhead, Desert Disguise, Chompy Hats, Pirate Hats, Highwayman Masks, Cavaliers, Berets & Headbands, Bunny Ears, Halloween Masks, Party Hats, Santa Hats, Chef’s Hats, and Eye Patches.

These are just some examples of the many different armors out in the huge world of Runescape. Runescape has many different types of armor to offer. For members, the selection is ever growing. When every new item comes out, they are cheap. But as in real life, if you will get it and hold it for awhile, it will eventually be worth a lot of money, especially if it is not circulated as much, and its a one time get.

Let’s talk more about Granite Armor. Most armor consists of the Plate Body, Plate Legs, A helmet, a shield, and a sword. Granite only offers you the shield, helmet, body, and legs. The legs are dropped by Skeletal Wyverns, The shield is dropped by Troll Generals, Ice trolls, and Ice troll runts, the helmet is dropped by the Terror Dogs, and the body is available from the Barbarian assault mini-game.

Granite armor requires 50 Strength and 50 Defense to equip it. Other than Range and Summoning, it is actually a little bit less strong than Rune, but still has higher defense stats. Granite armor is also known for being much heavier than other pieces of equipment.

Granite armour lowers your Magic by 50 and your ranging by 38. Nevertheless, its defense bonuses are +269 on ranging, +124 on summoning, and in the hundreds on the attacks. It is indeed the best armor to fight rangers.

The prices for Granite armor are as follows,
Granite helm: 255,000gp - 283,000gp
Granite body: 163,000gp - 182,000gp
Granite legs: 1,122,000gp - 1,242,000gp
Granite shield: 69,000gp - 78,000gp

These are the market prices; you may be able to get it cheaper, if you have someone that really wants to get rid of it. These prices seem expensive, but if you compare them to dragon…

Dragon med helm: 80,020gp - 88,450gp
Dragon sq shield: 661,000gp - 731,000gp
Dragon chain body: 9,742,000gp - 10,768,000gp
Dragon platelegs: 920,000gp - 1,020,000gp
Dragon full helm: 42,119,193gp - 46,552,793gp
Dragon plateskirt: 160,000gp - 174,000gp
Dragon boots: 329,000gp - 364,000gp

As you can see, Runescape Armor offers you all kinds of endless choices for happiness. From the nooby bronze, to the best-known dragon, all the way to granite, and then back over to decorative armor you will want to get all you can.

Chaos Tunnels: The Hunt for Surok

It seems that Surok has made a cunning escape from his Varrock Library prison and is intent on continuing his nefarious schemes. He even found time to steal some ancient tomes from the library, unearthing dark secrets and powerful magicks.

It is clear that Runescape Surok has plans to control the city of Varrock and it is up to you to stop him! Scuppering Surok may not be as easy as it sounds, however, as he has friends in very, very high places.

Surok was last seen heading east out of Varrock, towards the Chaos Tunnels that were introduced in January.

Have a care when entering the Tunnels, as they are dark and full of creatures - including dragons - that will attack without mercy! Be sure to only take what you are prepared to lose, for there are worse things than simple orks in the dark places of this world.

Summary

Where to start Chaos Tunnels: The Hunt for SurokStart by speaking to Surok by the statue of Saradomin, east of Varrock
Requirements to complete Chaos Tunnels: The Hunt for Surok:
What Lies Below
Level 44 Slayer
A hefty Combat level would be helpful.
Access to:

A new boss fight in the Chaos Tunnels which can be repeated daily
A hefty chunk of Slayer XP and guaranteed Summoning charms for those who defeat him!

In other news…

As a result of recent feedback, players can now take priest robes and gowns into Bounty Hunter. These items offer small Prayer bonuses that players might wish to make use of.

We’ve fixed an issue with the Assist System, so that runecrafters will be able to get ‘double’ runes if the assister has the necessary Runecrafting level.

The Friends and Ignore interfaces have been looked at and adjusted to make them more readable. These were slightly darker than intended.

We’ve been looking at a few smaller changes that will enhance your gameplay and you can expect more of these in the future:

  • When reopening the Smithing interface, it will remember where you last scrolled to, similar to the bank interface.
  • Romeo in Varrock will no longer interrupt you if you’re passing through. You can still stop by, have a chat and see if you can cheer him up!

Easter 2008 - For All Players on runescape

Posted by: cool  //  Category: Beginners' Guide, Runescape Hunter, runescape money, runescape news

It seems that the problem-prone Easter Bunny is once again experiencing difficulties. He’s spent so much time redecorating his warren that he hasn’t noticed critters burrowing in and devouring his entire chocolate stockpile.

Now, devoid of cocoa stocks, the chocolate egg production has ground to a halt and the forecast for Easter celebrations looks bleak. No need to worry, though - the Easter Bunny is an inventive sort, and has come up with an eggs-emplary new idea: use a chocatrice! These fearsome creatures, incubated from a chocolate-coated cockatrice egg, can turn their targets into chocolate with one lethal, chocifying gaze.

It falls to you, then, to create this curious creature. You’ll need to track down some of the lost chocolate to make a chocatrice egg and then carefully incubate it. The critters who ate the chocolate supply are sealed in the Easter Bunny’s tunnels and will prove a suitable target for your chocatrice.

So, this Easter, you will come to the aid of chocolate lovers everywhere, incubating your own chocatrice, guiding it around the Easter Bunny’s tunnels and turning the greedy rats into something altogether more delicious…

In other news…

The music system now has a counter which keeps ‘track’ of how many songs you’ve unlocked. You’ll have the Air Guitar emote in no time!

Players will now always receive a TzHaar fire cape and 8,000 TokKul after defeating TzTok-Jad. You can keep any extra fire capes you win as spares in case you lose them, or speak to TzHaar-Mej-Jal, master of the Fight Cave, who will purchase spare fire capes from you for 8,000 TokKul a piece.

We’re constantly looking at item prices on the Grand Exchange and how they match up with similar items and those that are unfinished versions of other items. Prices for some of these sorts of items have been adjusted following this pattern. For example, an unstrung amulet will more closely follow the price of the strung version.

You might have found in the recently refurbished Edgeville Dungeon that fighting chaos druids was a slow process. The death animation has been reduced so you don’t have to spend as much time waiting before picking up your loot!

Starting the quest
You need to talk to Gypsy who is in Varrock center. She is in the red/white tent and she will ask you for some money for palm read.

She tells you that you are the chosen one who is going to save varrock from a powerful demon. A demon named Delrith destroyed Varrock 150 years ago. She also tells you that you need a special sword named the Silverlight. This sword is very powerful sword and the only sword that can kill Delrith.

Getting the sword
To get the sword, you need to find a man named Sir Prysin, who is living in Varrock Castle. To find him, go to the castle, which is north of the main square, then go a little north-west when you are in the castle. You will see Sir Prysin. Talk to him and he’ll explain the situation of silverlight to you: The Silverlight sword is in a chest, that needs 3 keys. You will have to find these keys.

Wield the Silverlight sword and go to the stone circle, south of Varrock.
When you are fighting Delrith and he has nearly lost all his HP, 4 magic sentences will appear, and you will have to chose the right one that the Gypsy would have spoken about before, if you have forgotten it, then you should speak to her again and she will repeat the four words.

The main reason I’m writing this guide is for all those out there attempting to find great free Runescape 2 cheats, which unfortunately don’t exist - like the runescape 2 stat changer (there has never been a Runescape 2 hack like this, if people are claiming they can change stats it is just a scam). So I’m here to say that there is a much better and smarter way to play Runescape, and it involves playing the game for fun with dedication. If you combine these with a bit of intelligence on time management you will have a wonderful character and loads of Runescape Gold and items in your account in no time. Take this advice from someone who has been playing and involved with the game for over 5 years. Just remember that all these short term methods of making gold also only last in the short term because sooner or later your character will get banned and all your gold will be lost. If you play smart and often you will make all the Runescape Gold you can dream of and you will have made it the right way and it will be yours to keep. Good luck.

A very easy and profitable way yo gain money for new and old players is to sell cowhides. Right under falador and varrok are 2 cowfields. Have only 3 items in your inventory so you can collect more cowhides. Save them in your bank untill you get at least 100 (I usually have 1000), then go to a F2p world (1,3,4-because there are a lot more people there) withdraw all your cowhides in notes. If you have 300 or less, sell them for 100 gp each (10k for 100 cowhides),
150 for 300-1000 (x0.5 money)1000 or more, 200 each. Though i have buyers for up to 1000 gp, it is suggested to stick with the sheet. I have around 2 mill doing this. It is important to sell your cowhides in the Al Kharad south bank in worlds 1,3 and 4 since most people hang around there and the al kharad bank is near the tanner, Most buyers are high level players who want to level up there disgracefull crafting. You can easily get 200 cowhides if you try hard. Ussualy I stumble upon a field of cowhides people left, I just collect them. This is a very good way to level combat and gain money to around level 30.

mentioned above hundreds of people everyday are searching for a Runescape password finder, or runescape password cracker or hack, but the reality is there just aren’t any. I mean I don’t think that people are going to post free Runescape password lists on the internet that are of any use. I mean surely if a Runescape hacker had players’ Runescape passwords they would use them for themselves, remove the valuable contents of the account then be done with the account. I mean what benefit is there for them by offering other Runescape players access to the account. As for Runescape password finders well I can’t really comment that much on them, to my knowledge they don’t exist and I have been playing Runescape since 2001, and how exactly would a password finder work? Unless the Runescape was obvious stored somewhere there is essentially nothing to be found, so unfortunately for many “want to be” Runescape password hackers they will go ahead and download programs claiming to be Runescape password finders or hacks but they are actually only downloading trojans or key loggers onto their own computers allowing others to hack their accounts. So if you are looking to hack Runescape accounts, save yourself the grief of having your own Runescape account hacked by playing Runescape the way it was meant to be played and stop looking for shortcuts.
