Runescape Woodcutting Guide

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Runescape Skills

Cutting trees is a simple task, but some trees fall easier than others. Any hatchet will work, but remember that the better the axe, the easier it will be to get wood. Now just click on the tree to chop it down.

If you chop a regular tree you will get 1 stack of logs, while others will give several stacks. If you keep missing the tree and can鈥檛 chop it down, just keep trying and eventually you will cut it down. The higher your level, the easier it will be to get logs.

Hatchets

As mentioned before, better hatchets will cut trees quicker than others. There are currently 8 different kinds of hatchets, each requiring a certain woodcutting level to use.

Machetes

Machetes are mainly used to chop through the Jungle Brush on Karamja Island. There are no requirements to use these, but the types of brush you can cut will require you to have a specific Woodcutting level (those are included below).

To get these, you can either buy them from Gabooty in Tai Bwo Wannai with Trading Sticks, or you can have them made by Safta Doc if you bring him the materials.

Bird Nests

Sometimes while chopping a tree, a Bird鈥檚 Nest will fall out. Pick it up and search it - you may find something valuable inside! Bird Nests can also be crushed by Members with a Pestle and Mortar and mixed to make a Saradomin鈥檚 Brew.

A Rabbit-Foot Necklace can be crafted, and it significantly increases your chances of getting a bird鈥檚 nest while woodcutting.

Broken Axes

From time to time, your Axe鈥檚 head may fly off, but it鈥檚 very easy to fix. Simply pick the axe鈥檚 Head up off the ground (pick it up quickly so that it doesn鈥檛 disappear), and use it with the Handle to re-attach it.

Other times, it won鈥檛 be as easy. An Ent may grab your axe and break it, so that you can no longer use it to chop trees. Just bring it to Bob鈥檚 Axe Store in Lumbridge to have him fix it for a price.

Trees

While exploring the land, you will most likely come across different kinds of trees; many of which are more difficult to chop and require more skill than a Regular Tree. Some can be found while traveling along the road, while others can only be found in out-of-the-way places.

Runescape Strength Guide

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Runescape Guide

What Does Strength Do?

Strength is a very valuable skill used in Melee combat. The higher your Strength, the higher you will hit during combat. It鈥檚 for this reason that most PKers have a very high Strength compared to their other stats. There are also some pieces of equipment that require you to have a certain amount of Strength to wield.

Training Strength

By clicking on the Attack Styles icon (the one with the crossing swords), you鈥檒l be able to choose between the different kinds of attacks you can use with your currently equipped weapon. To train your Strength, you鈥檒l want to choose the 鈥淎ggressive鈥 style from the menu.

Each time you inflict one damage point on your opponent, you鈥檒l earn 4 Strength experience. You can also use the 鈥淐ontrolled鈥 method of some weapons to train all of your melee skills (attack, defense and strength) and earn 1.3 experience to each.

In the picture below, the box is accessible by clicking the Equipment icon (right of the inventory icon), which allows you to equip and unequip items. The 鈥淪how Equipment Stats鈥 will pop-up the box you see is in the picture. It will contain what you鈥檙e wearing, an enlarged picture of yourself, and your stats. Strength bonus is located under 鈥淥ther bonuses鈥. The higher that number is, the more damage you will deal in combat.

Boosting Your Strength

There are a number of ways to temporarily boost your Strength.

Potions - There are a few potions in RuneScape that will give you a generous strength boost
Drinks - Several alcoholic beverages will increase your strength level for a short time.
Prayers - 3 Prayers exist that will allow you to inflict extra damage in battle.
Special Attacks - Some special attacks will increase your strength greatly when used.
All of these methods will be described later on in this guide.

Runescapemoney.ws Runescape money making guides

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Making Runescape Money

There are many ways to make money on Runescape, from making bars to player killing. The only thing that stands between you and the money is “you”. The only way to receive the money is by building a skill in which you like, the area that you like, and the amount you need to collect. Without these three, this equation or article would have not existed. So by now you must have questions like, “How do I build a skill?” or “where do I begin? Well you should begin with the basics, the equipment.

Would you go to the wilderness without a sword? When building a skill, if you do not have the equipment you are nothing. If you like woodcutting: keep an axe, mining: always keep a pickaxe, smithing: you need ores and a furnace, and fighting: your sword is your best friend. (This will not go over fighting skills; I will soon write a paper for that and how to train fast if you are a non member.)

The first skill that is in the list of nonmember skills is woodcutting. This skill is one of the only skills that gain experience quickly and easily. The trees that you can chop depend on you level, and the cost of the logs depend on how rare the tree. If the logs are rare you get the more money you will get. If you are a level 1(tree) woodcutter the best place to start is at the grand exchange, where are a lot of trees for beginners. Also you may sell the logs or bank them for another use. For level 10- 20 (dead tree and oak) woodcutters, cut oaks in Falador and use the bank at your advantage. To the south there will be two oak logs cut them and bank them, it is easy and I found it affective for me. For level 30-60 woodcutters (willows) there are two choices you may make, bank for sell or drop for experience. If you want to sell go to Draynor village to cut willows to bank them, if you want to chop and drop go to Lumbridge and cut at one willow tree. To do the chop and drop method, you must avoid getting your inventory full. The solution for this is when the tree is gone drop as much as you can before the willow reappears. For level 60 (yews) the best place to cut yews if you just reached this level is Port Sarium. You cannot miss it there is one yew tree, best place for any level woodcutting; to make this less of a hassle you need to be able to teleport to Verrock. The closest bank for the yew tree close to Port sarium is in Draynor Village. You may run back and forth or just walk; it takes a while for the tree to respawn. Another area that has 4 yew trees is at Remington;

This rich billionaire guide is the best聽F2P guide I’ve ever done.聽How hard can it be? Well, making a few mill a week it is actually very easy if you follow these easy steps. In my last article, I’ve done steel bar, great orb project, cowhides but this is going to be much more.

1. YEW LOGS ! Note: This is for 60 Woodcutting, but I recommend 65-80 WC for faster money.

Well, for Yew logs all you have to do is to go to Edgeville (if you don’t know where this is, then ask a friend or a Runescape person.) Well. once you’re there, you should go south until the broken house or if you see 2 yew trees. Well, simply get your rune axe and chop the yews. The bank is really close and Yews spawn quite fast ,so this will be lots of money bout 200k an hr. 聽Let me sum it up.

*Go to Edgeville.

*Find the Yew trees and chop them.

*Bank them and after you get 100 or 1000 sell in Ge.

2. Rune essences Note: This is for聽1-99 mining 20 mining is perfect for easier and faster money or and you also have to complete rune mysteries.

Well, Rune essence is east of Varrock and if you don’t know where this is, ask a friend or a person. Aubury is the person you need for the teleporting; all you simply need to do is to get a聽pickaxe and start to mine rune essences. Well, let me sum it up.

*North or east Varrock.

*Go to bank and teleport with Albert.

*Massive white rock just mine and get full inventory.

*Exit through the portal and bank.

3. Iron Ore Note: 聽This is for 15 mining, but more is recommended for faster money and a high combat level for scorpions.

Go to Falador, in the undergrounds and mine iron ore; then, just bank. 聽Do this lots of times and 1000 of them - I believe - is 250k and that is a lot ! OK, let me sum this up good and proper.

*Go to Falador

*Go to underground (if you don’t know where this is ask a friend or a person)

Quest points gained: 3.
Required Levels: Level 15 Herblore, 20 Crafting and ability to kill a level 40 monster.
Required Items: Axe (hatchet), tinderbox, a few tarromin/water mixes are useful (use tarromin with vial of water), and around 5,000gp.
Required Quest: The Priest in Peril Quest must have been completed.

SHADES OF MORT’TON QUEST WALKTHROUGH
When you’ve found the town Mort’ton in the southern part of the Mort Myre swamps, locate the house with a broken table and a shelf in it (south-west in the town). Here search the table and keep the herbs you find. Search the shelf, and read the diary of Herbi Flax from there. Mix a tarromin with some ashes (burn a log) to get Serum 207. Use this on the Shop Keeper (Razmire), and he will tell you to go to the temple north of there and slay five shades. The temple is to the north-east, go there and kill five loar shades, pick up their remains and return to Razmire.
Now talk with Ulsauire Shauncy in the most eastern house to show him the remains as well. Go to Razmire again and buy two vials of olive oil and a hammer from the general store, and some building supplies from the building store (Razmire runs both). Now go to the temple to the north and start rebuilding/reinforcing the temple. When the flame in the middle starts to burn, and your sanctity is at 10%, use your olive oil on it, and you should have sacred oil. Use this on a log, and you’ll have a pyre log. Now get a loar remain, and find a Funeral Pyre, place the pyre logs on it, then the loan remain, and then use your tinderbox to light it up. A key should appear on the stone stand near the funeral pyre, pick it up and keep it.
Go back to Ulsauire and he will reward you. The key you receive is for the doors to the north-west. Here you鈥檒l find a cave with some different shades. There are also more doors and chests inside, to open these you need to get different keys. This is the same procedure as with the first key. Kill the different shades (the higher level shades need yew/magic logs to burn), and you should get the keys. This completes the quest.

Head to the north-east part of White Wolf Mountain and talk to Grimgnash. Be careful not to anger him as he will hit you and deal a lot of damage. Tell him about death and destruction. Once he is asleep go ahead and grab a feather from the pile. Now return to Sylas.
Sylas will take the feather and tell you to get Rupert the Beard’s Helmet. Ask him about it and he will tell you that Rupert lives in a house between Goblin Village and Ice Mountain. Once you get there, climb over the small wall and talk through the drain pipe. Rupert will talk back. Talk again and he will tell you to climb up. Now climb up on his beard to the top floor. Talk to him yet again, and he will tell you to talk to the princess.

Go down to the north side of the building and talk to Miarzrqa. Say “Second cousin twice removed” to get the conversation going. She will ask you to get her pendant and she will give you a key.

Head to the Witch’s house back in Taverley. Enter and go down to the basement. Then go through the gate with your leather gloves on. Search the music stand to get the music sheet. Play the notes from the sheet on the piano and the compartment will open. The notes are: E-F-E-D-C-A-E-G-A. The higher the note on the sheet music (denoted as upper) are further to the right and the lower notes (lower) are more to the left. Once you search the compartment you will get a “Shrinking recipe,” a “To-do list,” and two “Shrunk Ogleroots,” Make two “Shrink-me-quick” potions by following the directions from the “Shrinking recipe.”

Go to the mouse hole and drink a “Shrink-me-quick” potion. You will instantly go through the hole. Follow the path and before the end go up the nails. Go south-west and and climb up these nails also. Turn around and go up more nails. Now follow the path north-east and climb up some more nails. Go north a little and down these nails and take the pendant. Now head back to the Miarzrqa and give her the pendant. She will release Rupert who will give you his helmet. Now head back to Sylas.

Give Sylas the helmet and he will give you some magic beans. After a talk, where he wants you to get him a golden goblin, go south-east to the magic bean patch and plant them. After you water the beans, a beanstalk will appear. Climb up the beanstalk and kill Glod (Level 138). Beware, however, as he can drain your prayer. After you kill him he will drop two big bones, an uncut ruby, an uncut sapphire, a watering can (4) and a golden goblin. Take the goblin back to Sylas who tells you to cut down the beanstalk. Go back to the beanstalk and use the “Shrink-me-quick” potion on it. Use your axe to cut down the beanstalk. Go back to Sylas one more time to receive your reward.

On the way there the boat will tip over the great statue and you’ll be arrested by the black guards of the city as you arrive. You’ll be asked by Commander Veldaban to help the local sculptor rebuild a statue. He can be found in East Keldagrim, south of the Kebab shop. He will tell you that he needs you to find a pair of boots, some clothes and a battleaxe to dress the new statue in. Talk to Santiri in the sword shop in the north-west of Keldagrim. Ask him about a special axe. Talk for a bit and he will give you the axe and will talk abut an imcando dwarf fixing it. Use your sapphires on the axe. Go to the south-east of the city and talk with one of the conductors there and buy a ticket. Now take the cart to the Dwarven Mines. Walk to Port Sarim, and then further south to find a house just west of the dungeon. Talk to the dwarf, and he’ll say how he loves redberrie pie. Offer him one, talk to him again and says he needs an iron bar to fix the axe. Give him an iron bar and he will fix the axe. Go back to Keldagrim. Talk to the sculptor who sends you to his model. Give him the axe. Next to the sculptor’s house there is a massive marketplace, where you will find Vermundi. Ask her about some special clothes. She will send you to the librarian in West Keldagrim to get a book about school custumes which the kings dress is in. The librarian will say its on one of the shelves, but he can’t remember where, so you’ll just have to search them all. Once you have the book get your coal ore, log, tinderbox and the money from the bank, and ask Vermundi about the special clothes once again and she will take the designs. She will need some help with her spinning machine, so use your log or coal on it then use your tinderbox on it. Talk to Vermundi about the special clothes again. Pay her the 200gp and she gives you the clothes. Take them back to the sculptor who will once again tell you to take them to his model. Walk to the south west part of Keldagrim to the shield shop and talk to a man named Saro. Ask him about some special boots. He will tell you that he sold the special boots to a man named Dromund. He says Dromund is known for his wealth and peculiarities. He lives north of the bank. Talk to Dromund and he won’t let you have the boots. Try and take the right boot and the cat will meow and you will not able to take it. Place yourself outside the window next to the right boot and when he’s on the left wall not looking telegrab the boot. The left boot is very easy. Once he passes the table just grab it. Talk with the sculptor after giving the boots to the model. He tells you he needs to know what the head should look like. He wants you to go and find someone at the consortium (on the second floor in the centre/marketplace on the west side of the river). Speak to the secretary of any of the companies and do one of their tasks. Go back and do another task. In total you have to do five tasks. After these, you may request to talk with the director. Ask the director about joining the company, and he’ll tell you that you need to prove yourself. Do some tasks for the director, and then ask him about joining. Once joined tell him that Blasidar sent you, and that you’ll support the fact that it should be his head which should go on the statue. Talk to Veldaben once again. You will be asked to go with him to a meeting. There is a cut scene and the quest is complete.

Quest difficulty level: Medium.
Reward:10000 Woodcutting, 5000 Construction, 5000 Crafting, 10000 in two combat skills, Helm of Neitiznot, and access to a runite vein.
Quest points gained: 1.

Monsters: Ice Troll King (Level 122), Yak (Level 22).

THE FREMENNIK ISLES QUEST WALKTHROUGH
Head to the northeastern dock of Rellekka and speak with Mord Gunnar. He will tell you the King of Jatizso has requested you for an important task. Head north into the town and enter the building just west of the bank and speak to His Royal Greatness King Gjuki Sorvott IV. Throughout the conversation, the King’s cat will interrupt. Eventually the king will give in to it and send you to get a single raw tuna for it. If you do not already have one, a raw tuna can be purchased from the general store on the island. Talk to either Hrafn or the King to give the tuna to the cat, and he will stop interrupting. Talk to the King again, and he will continue his speech from earlier. He is suspicious of the Burgher of Neitiznot, telling you they have docked more trade ships than usual. Chancellor Thorkel Silkbeard will jump in to say that the Kelda traders of the Red Axe have arrived and are awaiting their ore. The miners of the kingdom are lazy so you’ll need to help them out. Bring the ore (or coal, dependent on mining skill) to the king and you will be rewarded with 5000 gp (or 2000 gp if asked for coal).
There will be no more interruptions to stop your conversation. The King will tell you Mawnis Burowgar, the Neitiznot’s Burgher, is an idiot. The King wants to best him as he has done before. As a paranoid king should be, he is suspicious of the Burgher, sure that he is scheming to defeat the King. He wishes to undermine this plot by sending you as a ‘bard’ of Rellekka (The King’s Definition: charlatan or fool) to entertain the Burgher in order to spy on him. You will accept the mission and be sent to Neitiznot. The King suggests using the ferry as the bridges between the islands are broken. Before you are able to leave he will tell you to take his old Spymaster’s costume from his chest. He will tell you to report to the Spymaster, Slug Hemligssen, who will only respond if given the password “free stuff please.” Be sure to go to the chest and take the outfit before you leave.

Return to Mord on the dock south of the city and ask him to ferry you back to Rellekka. Then ask Maria Gunnars to ferry you to Neitiznot. Head northeast into the city and speak to Slug, who is north of the bank. Tell him the password, “free stuff please,” and he will tell you how to gather the information. The Burgher and his men will relax in your presence, and as such you will need to listen to their conversation while you entertain them. Head to the building south of the bank and speak to Mawnis Burowgar. Make sure you have all four pieces of the jester costume on and that you are wielding nothing in your hands. You will have to respond to his wishes, doing the proper emotes when he asks for them. Pay attention to the conversation between the two guards behind you, as their conversation will contain all the information you need. After making a fool of yourself, return to Slug, who will ask you questions about what you heard. The answers to the questions are as follows: (1) Thakkrad thinks Neitiznot’s troops can be ready in two days, (2) Seventeen militia have been trained, and (3) Thakkrad has two bridges to repair. Slug will give you 2500 gp. He will also tell you that the King has given him permission to follow up on these leads. He wishes to find out when the engineers intend to repair the bridge. In order to discover this, he will need you to gain the trust of the Burgher, which includes helping him if he asks for anything.

Take off your jester uniform and speak to the Burgher. He will tell you he has sought an audience with you for a number of days, in need of a courageous and valiant person. Before he is willing to entrust his people’s fate to you, he wishes to make sure you can be trusted. Gaining his trust requires aiding him in yet more menial tasks, the first of which is to gather rope for the new bridge. The Burgher doesn’t wish to use just any rope, but that made of the hair of the Yaks to the west of the city. You will find that any rope in RuneScape is actually made from Yak hair - Ned was trading for the ropes, not making them - and as such can be used. Speak to the Burgher again to give him the rope, and you will be rewarded with 1000 gp. The Burgher has two additional tasks for you, the first of which is to provide eight arctic pine logs which have been split in two. Arctic pines dot the region, so simply find one and cut 8 logs. Once you have the logs, take them to the woodcutting stump in the center of town to split them using your woodcutting axe. Take these to the Burgher to be rewarded with an additional 1500 gp. Now you are ready to repair the bridges for the Burgher. Each bridge requires four split logs and four ropes, which you piece together with a knife. Head north, across the first set of bridges, and right-click to repair the bridges connecting to the Ice Trolls’ island. While you are repairing them, it is very likely you will be attacked by nearby trolls, so you may wish to wear armour. After repairing both, return to the Burgher to be rewarded with 1500 more gp.

Having earned the trust of the Burgher, it is finally time to discover the details of the secret assignment. The Burgher of Neitiznot wishes to raid the Troll Caves of the north in order to stop the attacks on his people. He needs for his militia to kill the Troll King to make sure the job is done. Being the cautious and generous man that he is, the Burgher offers you the honor of leading the military into battle. You will immediately accept, but you cannot lead the attack until the rest of the army arrives. In this waiting time, the Burgher wishes to find out if King Sorvott will misinterpret his intelligence and prevent the raid. Now you have to spy on your original employer. Return to Jatizso through the ferries. Rather than aimlessly spy on the King, you will find it much easier to simply talk to him. He manages to misinterpret the information, and believes an offensive is being mounted against Jatizso. His coffers are dangerously low, so he intends to collect taxes, even though his people are barely managing with what they have. He will establish a new tax in order to gather money. King Sorvott appoints you the tax collector of Jatizso. You will have to count the windows of each building and tax those who work inside 1000 gp for each window on their building. Go throughout the city and collect taxes as necessary: in the general store, in the northeast corner of the city, there are 5 windows, take 5000 gp from either Flosi Dalksson or Keepa Kettilon; in the building just west of the general store, there are 5 windows, take 5000 gp from Vanligga Gastfrihet, or you can pay the tax for her yourself; in the building in the southwest corner of the city, there are 8 windows, take 8000 gp from either Hring Hring or Raum Urda-Stein; in the other building with an anvil, there are 6 windows, take 6000 gp from Skuli Myrka. After you finish collecting the taxes from the citizens, return to the King and talk to him. Unfortunately, you did not gather enough taxes to pay for the necessary equipment. After some brainstorming, he will decide to instate a Facial Hair Tax. Speak to Thorkel to be told who you can tax. Raum Urda-Stein and Hring Hring reside in the southwestern building and Skuli Myrka is in the building north of them. Flosi Dalksson and Keepa Kettilon are both in the northeastern building. Tax all five of them and return to the King to find you finally have enough for the equipment.

The King now wishes to send you back to Neitiznot in order to find out who has been aiding the Burgher’s engineers with repairing the bridges. Use the ferries to return to Neitiznot and speak to the Spymaster. Once again, you will need to entertain the Burgher while listening to the conversation. Put your jester costume on again and return to the Burgher. Again, you will have to respond to the wishes of the Burgher. Again, pay attention to the conversation between the two guards in the back. Return to the Spymaster to be asked questions about what you heard. The answers to the questions are as follows: (1) Neitiznot’s militia is in a secluded bay, near Etceteria, (2) Thakkrad will deliver some potions to the militia tonight, (3) You have been helping Burgher Mawnis Burogar. When you finish answering the questions, you will be given 2500 gp. The Spymaster will then send you back to King Sorvott to discuss your information. Use the ferries to return to Jatizso and head to the King’s building. When you speak to him, the King will have the guards stop your exit. You will now have to tell the King what Neitiznot has really been planning - a raid on the trolls, not on Jatizso. King Sorvott will doubt you, at which point you will tell him exactly what’s on your mind. The King will be shocked that you talked like that to him, but will ignore everything you say. Believing his cousin, the Burgher, is trying to show superiority by attacking the trolls, the King will order his forces to be readied at once. You will once again reprimand the King and suggest that he join forces with Neitiznot, rather than try to best them. You will be sent to tell the Burgher that interfering with his plans will be considered war.

Return to Neitiznot by means of the ferries and speak to the Burgher. He will ask you if you’ve discovered the plots of Jatizso, at which point you will show him the document the King gave you. As there is little time to prepare for battle, the Burgher will immediately instruct his aide, Friedlief, to guide you through the ancient traditions necessary to become the head of the raiding party. Thakkrad will offer to guide you through the traditional rites. You must first wear the traditional armour of Neitiznot - yak-hide armour. Obtain three yak hides and have Thakkrad cure them for 15 gp. Craft one of each piece of the yak-hide armour with needle and thread. Wield it and return to the Burgher to continue with the rites. Now that you have the yak-hide armour, you will need a Fremennik round shield, made of two arctic pine logs, a rope, and some bronze nails. Make the shield at a woodcutting stump while carrying a hammer. Wield this shield and speak to the Burgher again. You will be appointed Champion of Neitiznot and be informed of the benefits. As the Champion, you are responsible for leading the militia to the caves and bringing back the head of the beast as proof of success.

It is now time to attack. Friedlief suggests an approach to avoid the men from Jatizso. Prepare for battle, which will be at the eastern cave on the northern island. There are two sections to the troll islands, so you will have to go north to the second section before heading east. Turn on range protect prayer Go east to the cave entrance to see a cutscene - after this you will have to fight. Upon finishing the cutscene, kill 10 trolls - refer to the quest journal to find out how many are left, if you lose count. You will not need to wear your yak-hide armour any more, simply keep it with you. During your battle, Bork Sigmundson can provide you with a varying number of prayer potion (3)s (around 3), strength potion (3)s (around 3), and tuna (around 6). Do not ask for these supplies unless you have enough space to hold everything, as he will give you each kind of supply only once. After killing the 10 trolls, it is time to run south, cross the rope bridge, and kill the Troll King. As soon as you enter, a cutscene will show the angry Troll King ready to attack the intruder. Immediately following this cutscene, he will begin attacking you. He can use ice spells, throw rocks, and melee you, though he appears to favor throwing rocks (ranging). As with other trolls, he is weak to poison. Do not use melee protection because if you do, he will throw you across the room.

After you defeat the Troll King, click him to decapitate the body. Be sure the head is in your pack. You can now use the rope bridge to the east and head north to use a ladder and escape. You will arrive at the west end of the troll island. Head down into Neitiznot and speak to the Burgher. Upon presenting him with the head of the Troll King, he will reward you with his crown. As part of your reward, choose two melee combat skills to gain 10,000 experience each.

Runescape BIG CHOMPY BIRD HUNTING QUEST STRATEGY

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Quests

Starting location: South-east from the Ogre city (Gu’Tanoth) from the watchtower quest. Speak to an ogre named Rantz. He is hungry and wants you to help him make arrows for his unusually large bow, so he can hunt the Chompy Bird.
Quest difficulty level: Medium.
Reward: Few exp in ranged (around 700), cooking (around 1500) and fletching (300), Ogre bow, ability to fletch ogre arrows and ability to cook Chomby bird.
Quest points gained: 2.
Required Skills: Level 5 Fletching, Level 30 Cooking, Level 30 Ranging, ability to kill level 64 wolves and defend yourself from level 48 and level 70 ogres.
Required Items: Woodcutting axe, feathers (around 50 to 100, just to be safe), knife, chisel, weapon and armor (to kill a wolf, and defend yourself from ogres).
BIG CHOMPY BIRD HUNTING QUEST WALKTHROUGH
First step is to walk a little to the south from him and chop yourself some logs from the Achey trees. You’ll need around 5 logs - Rantz himself wants 6 arrows and you will probably want a few of your own.
Next, all around the hill area you are in you will encounter wolves. Go a little further south west from the Achey trees and you will find one. Kill a couple and use your chisel on their bones. Then, fletch arrows as per usual - use knife on logs, use feathers on shafts and use tips on feathered shafts. You need around 10 arrows.
Head back to Rantz and present him with the arrows. He then tells you about the toads, that his two sons like to play with. Remember to ask him all the questions you can, or else you wont be able to open the chest. Next step is to talk to the boys, which are inside a cave directly north from Rantz. On your way you will notice the ogre spitroast.
Speak to the boys and you discover they use a bellows to inflate the toads for fun - charming. They also tell you their father took the bellows off them and locked it in a chest, which you will find in the north-west part of the cave. Open it and search to find the bellows.
Head back down to where you found the wolves, and just to the west you will find a swamp. Try using the bellows on a toad - it tells you that the air is too thin. The solution is to use it on the swamp bubbles you will find in the swamp, at the southern end of the swamp pond. You get three shots with the gas filled bellows before you need to fill it again. Use the bellows on a toad again and you will be able to catch it. Get a few - at least three.
Head back to Rantz and present the toads to him. He will show you where you need to place them to lure the birds out.
Go down and place a toad on the spot. Rantz will take a shot at it, but he will miss. If you speak to him, he complains that your arrows are weak. Ask him to give you a go at shooting. He gives you his bow.
Head back down and place another toad. Wield the bow and arrows you have left, when the bird appears, range it. You’ll kill it fairly easily. Pluck the carcass and take the raw bird back to Rantz. He wants you to cook it as well.
He’ll tell you to ask the children what they would like with their dinner. Its different from person to person what they want on their Chompy, but here鈥檚 a quick list of where to get it all:
Onion: To the west of the swamp, there鈥檚 a fire and some ogres, right around there.
Doogle leaf: North-west of the swamp, respawn of 4.
Equa Leaf: You can get this south-east of Rantz, south of the place you placed your toad for the bait.
Tomato: South of the Wolfs.
Cabbage: North of the swamp where there is a bear.
Potato: south-east of Rantz.
Use the bird on the spitroast. Present Rantz with his delicious seasoned Chompy bird and the quest is complete.
