Investing

The two most important elements of investing are to be aware of prices and price trends, and also how recent updates or general trends in RuneScape are affecting the market. Following are some investment strategies. However, as with all investments, there is never an absolute guarantee for profit or loss!

A common misconception is that a good investing strategy is to buy items that are going up in price. It is true that this is sometimes effective, but prices always fluctuate; in other words, price increases are always followed by price decreases, and vice-versa. These often are of a magnitude of several days each, but can be longer. In general, it is not a good idea to invest in items that have already been going up in price for a long time; rather, invest when the price is still falling but when you think the price will start rising soon, or invest very shortly after the item has started rising.

Carefully watch the price of an item and sell it when the price starts going down or begins to level off. Ideally you would sell while the item is still going up in price, the day before the price reverses and item starts going down in price. However, it is not always easy to predict exactly when this will be. Players may want to explore the RuneScape Grand Exchange on the RuneScape website to examine price trends. Players may find the Grand Exchange Market Watch helpful, although the Grand Exchange Database can be even more helpful, and the prices are usually up to date.

Be aware that there are price manipulation clans which will artificially try to raise the price of certain items. They will continually buy an item until the price goes way up, then they will all dump the item, causing the price to crash. When the crash happens you will have no advance notice and you will be unable to unload your items even at minimum as the market will already be flooded. This form of manipulation is known in the real world as a “pump and dump” scheme. Be aware of this scheme and when you see a common item going way up for no discernible reason, be very cautious of investing in it.

Another good way to invest is to read the RuneScape news found in the homepage of the website, and look for new updates or hints of new updates. For example, the release of PvP worlds resulted in increased demand for sharks, swordfish, runite items, dragon daggers, Dragon scimitars, and other popular player-killing equipment and supplies. Those merchants who had seen this coming and stocked up on these items before the update would have made quite a substantial amount of profit. Another good example is rares: before the holidays, people like to buy Santa hats. They will almost always go up in price in the weeks leading up to Christmas, or at least the prices will fluctuate more. Richer people will buy some of these, and sell them once they go up. However, due to a popular perception that Santa hats would be worth the most on Christmas, Santa hats have been known to crash before Christmas as players’ expectations did not live up to the reality. In 2008, Santa hats started crashing several days before Christmas.

Those who want to do some very long term investing may not be concerned with small price trends, but rather should hold onto an item for months with the hope of a large profit. For example, dragon bones were worth about 1800 coins each in December 2008, but as of December 2009 were worth about 5000 coins each. Also, prices of discontinued items seem to reach an annual bottom in late March or the middle of April, but then rise during the summer.

However, if you are thinking of investing a large sum of your cash, it may be worth it to research the general price that most of the items will stop going up or going down at. If you don’t you may be at risk to lose large sums of money. Rares, however, exhibit very low trading volume, which makes them risky short-term investments. Unless very familiar with their price trends, trade in items that are in better supply than rares.

Te log in screen is pretty nice, after log in you will have to either create or choose a character. When creating a character you wont have too much to customise, 8 diffrent faces, 12 diffrent hairs, and 3 diffrent suits. You also have to coose a starting area. When starting the 9dragons gold game you will be offerd to take a tutorial, this is only killing six guards and ow to equip a weapon. After this you will be redirected to the area you choose to start on when creating the character.

Comparison:
9 Dragons Gold game in its present state is incomparable, its real martial arts you fight with your fist and feet no fancy armour. So trying to find a game to compare it with is going to be a real challenge. A lot of people on most forums try to compare this game with that of Hero Online and it seems that is the only game where you start out using your hands and feet as your weapon. But with 9Dragons Gold you can move great in the game using only your hands and feet as your primary weapons. You really don?t get any spacial armour just clan clothes. There are six available clans to join at the beginning of the 9dragons gold game each one with their own unique task to get into that specific clan some are harder to join than others and I will do my best to explain some of the details that you need to accomplish to join a certain clan. Lets do White Clans first, the White clans are basically the clans that support the Emperor of China (yes that?s right this is set in ancient China). First the easiest clan to get into The League of Beggars, now I know what your thinking, this clan is also considered that clan that never ends, being that no one knows if your in the League of Beggars or not since beggars are around everywhere. There unique clan style is called Drunken Monkey Kung-Fu yes Kung-Fu, and is available for both Male and Female characters to join and at Level 4 or Losing Self 4 you may join this clan.

The next clan that is available to join at Level 8 or Losing Self 8 is Shaolin, this clan is strictly male and concentrates on the prying mantis style of kung-fu. As you know for unarmed kung-fu was developed while Monks and practitioners of this ancient art. To play this particular character you have to be male and yes they do shave your head and you put on the famous monks clothing.

The final White Clan and hardest to get in is the Wu-Tang Clan also known as the “Devine Sword†they practice unity and harmony within oneself and the sword is the extension of ones body. They truly believe in Ying and Yang where the Male devours the female while the female devours the male. To join this clan you have to wait till Level 20 or Opening Chi 8 and your Wu-Tang basic fist has to have reached the level of 2 as well as Wu-Tang Basic Swordsmanship.
Now for the Black Clans that do not support the tyranny of the Emperor and all aren?t actually truly considered black well not all of them.

They are known as the Heavenly Demon Clan, The Brotherhood of Thieves, and The Sacred Flower. Each clan has its own unique story behind them which I will get into later but lets discuss the required levels to join these clans.

The Brotherhood of Thieves is the easiest clan to join equivalent to the League of Beggars in that they are a large clan primarily made up of those who chose to steal 9dragons gold rather than beg for their stuff. They primarily fight with a spear since they live in the mountains and was used to hunt rather than as a weapon.

The second hardest for Black Clans would be The Sacred Flower this is an all female clan of assassins, who despise males and use seduction as a means to weaken their male counterparts. They use bladed wheels to fight with and are not to be miscalculate for they are ruthless when it comes to fighting.

Heavenly Daemon Clan is hardest of the Black Clans to get into basic the rival of the Wu-Tang clan and use Broad Swords as there primary weapon. They were the ones who truly deny the emperor.

The story behind 9Dragons Gold is each of there elite went missing after the war of the 9Dragons Gold later on in the game after you achieve the most you can do with the clans you are currently in you can choose a new more advance clan to increase your kung-fu for Black Clans you have the Black Dragon clan and for the White Clans you have Heavenly Fist clan.

First impression:
My First impression of this 9dragons gold game after reading all the details to the game I had to play it, I signed up to beta test, and after a while I was accepted and got my closed beta key of 9 Dragons Gold game. I was automatically even more impressed with the game, it is a unique type of game allowing you to chose your path and in that you get to learn new moves (ie:skills) and each one is specific on the role you chose within the clan you chose. They have the normal Warrior type role usually more health and dex and con than the other roles and they primarily use the weapon of choice for their clans. The healer role mainly the support function and rely on parties to obtain levels, they can heal and buff who they chose and are very helpful when you are in a party fighting monster far above your level. Then there are the hybrid role this role is built to solo, they have self healing spells and have some strong attacks but be warned chose this role you will never master a specific skill you will be a jack of all trades and a master at none.
