Fishing - The Basics

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Runescape Skills

Introduction

Fishing is a popular method of obtaining food due to the variety of Fishing spots found throughout RuneScape. You will need to buy the correct fishing equipment, specific to the type of Fishing spot you wish to use. All of the equipment that you may need can be bought from Fishing shops .

To locate Fishing spots using the main map you will need to click the “Key” button to bring up the map keys. There are three pages in the key, clicking on the “Prev page” or “Next page” buttons will allow you to navigate them. You will need to click on the ‘Fishing Spot’ icon to locate all icons on the map of that type; they will flash yellow briefly once you have clicked the ‘Fishing spot’ icon on the key.

When you have found a Fishing spot, right-click over a Fishing spot and a menu with a list of Fishing options will appear.

Click on the option you want and, providing you have the correct equipment in your inventory, you will attempt to catch a fish.

An aspiring fisherman needs to be patient: you should always keep in mind that with a higher Fishing ability comes the potential of catching better food.

Money making guide/Firemaking

Effectiveness Firemaking level requirement Details Other requirements
***** None In some locations where fires are helpful but hard to come by, you can “sell” fires to the players there by bringing a tinderbox and some logs and offering to light a fire for a fee. A common location for this is the fishing spot at Musa Point on Karamja Island in free-to-play worlds, where few regular trees are found and there is no nearby bank.
***** Level 5 Cremating shades in the Shades of Mort’ton minigame not only gives Firemaking experience, but may also yield keys that can be used to get access to many valuable items. These include fine cloth, which sells for 10,100 coins and is used in making splitbark armour. Players with higher level Firemaking can make better profit from this as the higher level shades and pyre logs yield better rewards. Fiyr shades yield rune armour and weapons as well as occasional Level 3 clue scrolls. 40 combat, Shades of Mort’ton quest
***** Level 40 Kill vyrewatches and cremate their corpses (see the Shades of Mort’ton article to learn how to do so). They can only be cremated with teak pyre logs or higher, but cremating vyre corpses yields a Columbarium key, which can be used to get access to many valuable items in the Columbarium, including trimmed rune armour, snapdragon seeds and more. High combat and Legacy of Seergaze quest

How to Get 99 Fishing in Runescape

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Guide

Hello, and welcome to my guide to getting 99 Fishing on Runescape. Getting to 99 Fishing is no easy accomplishment, so what ever you do, I suggest you never give up. Member and Non - Member descriptions will be give for each level increment.

Part I. Introduction

Hello again, and good luck because you are about to embark on long, and rewarding quest. Achieving 99 fishing is not going to be easy. You will need to stay strong and persevere throughout this entire goal. There will be tough times ahead, but if you do not give up, you will eventually succeed and be the envy of others in Runescape with your Achievement Cape. I wish you good luck.

Part II. Fast Experience

There are a couple of ways you can achieve 99 fishing, and one of those ways is by getting to 99 quickly with “Fast Experience.”

Levels 1 - 20

Items You’ll Need:
- Small Fishing Net

To start the long journey to 99 fishing, take your Small Fishing Net and fish shrimp. Shrimping is a fast way to get to level 20, if you stick with it for a little bit. Also, if you want an even faster way to get up to 20, try using a fishing rod on the same spots as you catch the shrimp. The fishing rod method will cost a little more because you will need to purchase bait, and it can be more time consuming if you do not already have the fishing rod and bait. Otherwise, fish shrimp until level 20. Fishing shrimp when you get to level 15, will let you catch Anchovies. Shrimp leveling should now go even faster. A nice shrimping place is in a place called Draynor Village because of the bank near the fishing spot.

Levels 20 - 30

Items You’ll Need:
- Fly fishing rod
- Feathers

As soon as you reach level 20, fly fishing for trout until level 30 in a river is the fastest method for experience. Do not bother with the pike because you will not catch them fast enough to get fast experience.

Non - Member Areas:

Location 1: Lumbridge

The Easiest Runescape Money Making Guide

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Money Making Guide

A simple and easy to understand money making guide on the famous MMORPG, Runescape. Worth reading if you want your hands on that last piece of armor.

Runescape, an online playing game with the monsters, people to interact with, weapons, armor. The usual for an MMORP game. But to take advantage of people, it is necessary to get better weapons, better armor, and better accessories. But how do you get them? Money of course! GP. This guide is going to show you how to make that extra amount of GP to get to that last piece of rune armor or anything you want but is a mainly non-member money making guide. It doesn’t matter if you are lvl3 or a lvl45. Here is how you are going to start!

0gp-45,000gp
Okay, here is how you start and don’t bother killing goblins an stuff if you are low lvl to make your money. This is the simplest trick but do require a bit of patience. Head over to barbarian village in world 1 or 3. But try and avoid the barbarians unless if you are a higher lvl than them since they are aggressive to lower lvl people. There is a fishing spot to the east of Barbarian Village just over the bridge that takes you to Varrock. People fly-fish cooked or raw trout and salmon over there and often give them away for free since they are lvlin their fishing or cooking. Your job is to bank as many as you can. Bank them at the Edgeville bank north of Barbarian village. Not a far walk, about 30seconds or so. Get about 400 cooked trout and 200 cooked salmon. Each cooked trout should sell for around 70gp and each cooked salmon should be around 80gp and if you are lucky enough some people buy for 100gp ea in. Sell them in Varrock or Edgeville bank. This should leave you with around 45k.

45,000gp-100,000gp
Okay, now head over to Fallador in world 1 o 3. People sell coal here and you can attract a lot of people with coal you sell or buy. Buy as many coal ore as you can for around 140gp-150gpea. That’s what I did. And then sell them for around 180gp-200gp ea. Suppose you bought 293 coal ore for 150gp ea with 44k and then sold them for 190gp ea , that’s is a whole 11,670gp profit! Keep doing this until you get 100k.

100,000gp - ?gp
Now since you have 100k, here is when the big money comes in. IT TAKE BIG MONEY TO MAKE BIGGER MONEY. Remember that. Stick to coal since that is one of the best way to make money WITHOUT going around places. Do the something as I said in making 45k-100k above. Why? Here is why. If you have 100k and bought coal for 150p ea and sold them for 190gp ea, that’s a whole 26k profit you get there! Ain’t sound much? Well the more money you have, the bigger your profit is. Or if you are getting bored of coal, you can do the same thing on yew logs buy them for 250gp ea and sell them for 300gp ea. Iron ore, buy for 80gp ea and sell for 100gp ea. Lobsters, buy for 200gp ea rarely and se for 250gp ea. But I recommend coal since you make the most profit out of it. If you are bored of standing in one place you could try some of the options below.

Iron Ore and above
Okay, the is one of the, THE best skills to make money. You can make your money from lvl 15 all the way up. Lvl 15 you can get iron ore which sell for 100gp ea, lvl 30coal ore which sell for 150-200gp ea. But if you want to make quicker money, you GOTTA get it to lvl 60. That’s when you can get into the mining guild through a short cut from Fallador. There are some 34 coal ore and 5 mithril ore. Mith ore sells from 350gp-500gp. Adamant ores sell for 1k-1.2k ea and rune ores ell for 10k-12k ea!

Normal logs and above
This to is a good skill to make money. Even at a low lvl. Normal logs sell for 15gp ea, oak logs sel for 20-30gp ea. Willows I’m not sure but around 50gp ea? Then at lvl 60, you can get yews which members buy from 300gp ea! Sell normal, oak, willow at Draynor Village bank. Yews at Varrock.

Steel bars and above
Smithing is a good skill again….Steel bars sell from 500gp-600gp ea. But lvling it is pretty hard because you have to mine the coal to bank and the other ore which you need to make you kind of armour or weapon which takes a long time and patience if you are a non-member. Again I’m not sure about member.

Killing
Big Bones, Big Bones give a good amount of exp for prayer. Big Bones sell for 300gp around. You can kill chickens to get feathers which people to buy for around 5-10gp ea.

Tip: Always have a calculator with you so you can work out if you are getting ripped-of or not.

Hope this helps everybody out!
