Detailed Boss Information

Damis

He has 2 forms, use Protect from Melee with both if you can. The first form (Level 103, 95 HP) is easy and just drains about half your prayer at the beginning of the battle. The second form (Level 174, 160 HP) can be extremely hard if you let him drain your prayer. He drains your prayer 4-6 points every time he hits and he hits fast and up to 28+ damage. You will need lots Prayer Potions and a Ddp++ to poison him. Claws of Guthix is useful to drain his Defense. His Defense is extremely high so it is very hard to get melee damage off. You can use a safe spot northwest of where he attacks you (it is still in multi combat area) to hide and eat. You cannot safely use Magic, Range or a Halberd from this spot, when you do you will automatically walk to where Damis can attack you and most likely take damage and lose prayer points from his attack.

Kamil

He is Level 154 with 130 HP and can be hard to Melee because every time he freezes you it will stop your melee attack and you will have to attack him again manually. He uses Melee and Ice Magic that will freeze you in place (and can do quite a bit of damage). Use Protect from Melee; Mystic or Dragonhide armor should deflect some of his magic attacks. He has medium HP, so several good Fire Magic attacks can finish him off. Take food for the damage he will do with Magic attacks. He is in an area where your stats (noncombat included) will be drained 1 or more points every 5-10 seconds you are there.

Fareed

He is Level 169 with 130 HP and does incredible Melee damage if you let him but not if you use Protect from Melee. He can do up to 43+ damage if you don’t have Protect on! He uses a magic attack that seems similar to Flames of Zamorak (which can do up to 20-30 damage and drain your Magic level) but he rarely uses it and it doesn’t seem to do much damage when he does. It is unconfirmed whether it drains any stats or not. He has medium HP, so a few good Water Waves will finish him off. You will want Prayer Potions, some food and Water Blast or Wave runes; a Dragon Weapon/Abyssal Whip; or high level Range weapon.

Dessous

He is Level 139 with 200 HP and uses powerful Melee (about 10+ each hit) and semipowerful Range and Magic attacks. The Magic and Range attacks will send what looks like purple bats at you that do 5 damage for each type (10 damage total each time he uses it). If you use Protect from Range or Magic it only cancels out one of them so you still get hit 5 damage. Use Protect from Melee and use Claws of Guthix or any high level Magic attack or a good Melee Weapon. Dessous has medium HP, and several good hits will do him in. You can also use any attack type you wish. Take good food, Monkfish or better to heal from this Magic/Range attacks. Crumble Undead does not effect him, he is not classed as Undead.

Trimmed Skill Capes

If you got two or more 99 skills, then all your skill capes will be trimmed. This happens automatically when you get your second skill to 99. The only difference the trimmed cape has is a +4 prayer bonus and ofcourse the trimming on the edge. Quest Capes cannot be trimmed and completing all quests doesn’t count as a 99 skill for trimming other capes.

Quest Cape

To get this cape you must have beat all Quests and the Rag and Bone Man wishlist. The bad part about this cape is that it will be un-equiped when a new quest comes out. If your inventory is full it will go to your bank, if bank is full it will go to the wise old man and he will give it back to you for free.

Quest Cape
Location: Bought from the Wise Old Man in Draynor Village.

Effects

When you use the Emote or use operate, you’ll be 100/99 this can be very useful for some skills.

How to Get 99 Magic in Runescape

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Uncategorized

Ever wanted the magic skill cape, Ancient Magicks, or just 99 magic? This guide will show you how to get 99 magic quite cheaply.

  1. Cast your first spell on goblins in Lumbridge and pick up the runes.
  2. At level 1 magic, use your experience lamps (from Tutorial Island) for magic.
  3. Go to the Player Safety center. Read all the plaques, then ask to go upstairs. Upstairs, you will have to take a test. then, you will receive 2 exp lamps. Use them for magic.
    • By now, you should be about level 11, maybe 12.
  4. Cast weaken 118 times. This should cost about 5k.
  5. You can cast curse. By now, there are 2 ways to train magic.
    • Once you cast weaken enough times, use wind bolt in Fist of Guthix. you may also get rewards. At level 17, your bolt won’t be too accurate. Cast wind bolt 1058 times. this may be a lot, but this is free.
  6. Go to hill giants once you’re over level 20 magic and then go to the safe spot behind the pillars. This is fast xp and gives you big bones which you can sell, or bury for prayer levels. If you’re getting bored with hill giants, you can go to Varrock castle and cast the curse spells or any of the other none-attacking spells on the npc inside the cage. This is a good spot to train if you want magic levels and not hit point levels.
    • Cast curse 134 times. Once you get 25 magic, go for law running, with the assist system. This can get you free laws. You can only do this if you are a member. cast varrock teleport 298 times.
  7. Now, you can cast Telekinetic grab. Go to the nature rune spawn in level 42 wilderness, and grab the nature runes. These runes will come in handy later; don’t sell them! Cast this 747 times. If you don’t want to risk going into the wilderness, you can go into the Varrock basement, and telegrab the gold ore. The ore takes a long time to respawn, but this is safer. You will need 747 laws and an air staff.
  8. Now you can superheat items! Steel and mithril bars are the best to smith. It is also recommended you have completed The Knights Sword quest. Cast this 2195 times. If you went into the wilderness, then that’s great, if not, you may have to use 100-200k for this part.
  9. Understand that high level alchemy is best. Green d’hide, magic and yew longbows, adamant platebodies, ruby bracelets, amulets of defense, and (surprisingly) adamant battleaxes are the best to high alch. Try getting some of the nature runes from the Nature Rune Isle. You have to cast 197,967 high alchs!
  10. Great! you got 99 magic! Now you can go show it off to your friends.

Tips

  • It’s a good idea to bring some food when going into the wilderness.
  • Another option is to buy a mud staff and cast curse. this costs 4-5M
  • Fist of Guthix is a slow option that’s free. if you have 200k+, you don’t need to go to Fist of Guthix.
  • Look in the grand exchange for other items that cost less than the high alchemy price.
  • Free laws = Free natures!
  • It should take about a month or two to get from 55 magic to 99.
  • Don’t get burnt out. If all you do all day is alch, you will get extremely bored and never want to do magic again.
  • Try watching television or a movie while you alch.
  • Nats is short for nature runes.
  • To save even more money and get your Runecrafting up, you can make all of your runes.
  • ALSO you may want to try fist of guthix if your low on cash
