There are many ways to make money on Runescape, from making bars to player killing. The only thing that stands between you and the money is “you”. The only way to receive the money is by building a skill in which you like, the area that you like, and the amount you need to collect. Without these three, this equation or article would have not existed. So by now you must have questions like, “How do I build a skill?” or “where do I begin? Well you should begin with the basics, the equipment.

Would you go to the wilderness without a sword? When building a skill, if you do not have the equipment you are nothing. If you like woodcutting: keep an axe, mining: always keep a pickaxe, smithing: you need ores and a furnace, and fighting: your sword is your best friend. (This will not go over fighting skills; I will soon write a paper for that and how to train fast if you are a non member.)

The first skill that is in the list of nonmember skills is woodcutting. This skill is one of the only skills that gain experience quickly and easily. The trees that you can chop depend on you level, and the cost of the logs depend on how rare the tree. If the logs are rare you get the more money you will get. If you are a level 1(tree) woodcutter the best place to start is at the grand exchange, where are a lot of trees for beginners. Also you may sell the logs or bank them for another use. For level 10- 20 (dead tree and oak) woodcutters, cut oaks in Falador and use the bank at your advantage. To the south there will be two oak logs cut them and bank them, it is easy and I found it affective for me. For level 30-60 woodcutters (willows) there are two choices you may make, bank for sell or drop for experience. If you want to sell go to Draynor village to cut willows to bank them, if you want to chop and drop go to Lumbridge and cut at one willow tree. To do the chop and drop method, you must avoid getting your inventory full. The solution for this is when the tree is gone drop as much as you can before the willow reappears. For level 60 (yews) the best place to cut yews if you just reached this level is Port Sarium. You cannot miss it there is one yew tree, best place for any level woodcutting; to make this less of a hassle you need to be able to teleport to Verrock. The closest bank for the yew tree close to Port sarium is in Draynor Village. You may run back and forth or just walk; it takes a while for the tree to respawn. Another area that has 4 yew trees is at Remington;

Effectiveness Level requirement Details Other requirements
***** Level 1 Players can buy unblessed symbols at the Grand Exchange for 40 coins each. If they have completed the Observatory Quest, they can also have their unblessed unholy symbols blessed by the spirit of Scorpius, turning them into Unholy symbols. Completion of Observatory quest
***** Level 40 Climb up the tower in the ranging guild and turn on protect from ranged. Collect the arrows they shoot. Go to the side with the higher levelled archers for better arrows. Ranged level of 40; access to Rangers’ Guild
***** Level 31 Players can buy unblessed holy symbols at the Grand Exchange for 40 coins each. Unblessed holy symbols can be blessed by Brother Jered in the monastery, turning them into Holy symbols. Access to Monastery
***** Level 50 You can buy the Unblessed symbol in the Grand Exchange for 40 coins each. You will need an Unholy book for unholy symbols or a Holy book for holy symbols (The Book of balance can bless either symbol), an inventory of unblessed or unpowered symbols, a minimum of 4 prayer points, and an altar close to a bank (Some places with altars near banks include Ardougne, Varrock, or a Player-owned house in Yanille. You will need the altar to recharge your prayer as each blessing takes at least 4 prayer points to bless. The use of prayer potions would cost more than profit made from blessing the symbols. This will give you a profit of 89 for a Holy symbol and 159 for an Unholy symbol. Completion of Horror from the Deep
***** Recommended Level 60 You can use the ability of the blessed silver sickle from your worn equipment tab next to logs in Mort Myre Swamp and then pick up the fungi that appear on the log. These can be sold for 1,502 each. It is recommended to use teleport to house tabs if you have an altar and a Kharyll teleport (must have done Desert Treasure quest) in your Player Owned House. However if you do not have an altar, teleport to Kharyll and/or have level 60 prayer, bring a prayer potion — although prayer potions bring down the profit of this if you buy them off the Grand Exchange. Alternatively, you can recharge your prayer points at the altar in the Nature Spirit grotto. Using prayer potions it is possible to make up to 450,000 coins per hour at the current price for the mushrooms (1,502 coins each). Completion of Priest in Peril

Money making guide/Mining

Effectiveness Mining level requirement Details Risk factors Other requirements
*****
110,000
Level 1(30) Mining rune/pure essence
You can mine rune essence at level 1 mining or pure essence at level 30 mining and sell it for around 94 coins each for rune essence or 136 for pure essence (sometimes you need to drop the price a little bit to get it to sell in the Grand Exchange). Essences mine quickly; it usually takes less than a minute to fill an inventory, and then another minute or so is needed to get the mined essence to a bank and return to the mine for another load. For fast banking it is recommended that you use Aubury in Varrock to get to the essence mines and deposit each load of runes in the bank which is just north of his shop. Members with 66 Magic can instead go to Wizard Distentor at the Wizards’ Guild in Yanille, which is closer to a bank.
  Rune Mysteries completed.
*****
73,000
Level 1 Mining clay
In the West Varrock Mine, in the Dwarven Mine, or near the Crafting Guild, you can mine clay, which sells for 163 coins each. You can wear a bracelet of clay, which automatically converts mined clay into soft clay. Soft clay sells for 301 coins each.
  • Level 6 Mugger in the mine south-west of Varrock
  • King Scorpions if you enter the Dwarven Mine from the Falador entrance
  • If a player with a higher mining level is also mining the clay, you may not be able to get any
Crafting level of 40 to enter the Crafting Guild
*****
34,000
Level 20 Mining silver
Silver ore sells for 308 coins each, and is found in accessible locations. The best is the West Varrock Mine due to its proximity to a bank, but the Al Kharid mine is also available. Unfortunately, silver ore rocks only respawn every 2 minutes, which means a lot of time standing around waiting for the ore to become available for mining, which greatly reduces the profit per hour.
  • If a player with a higher mining level is also mining the silver ore, you may not be able to get any
  • Level 14 scorpions in the Al Kharid mine
  • Level 6 mugger in the West Varrock Mine

*****
48,000
Level 20 Mining silver (crafting guild)
There are twice as many silver rocks at the crafting guild as at the West Varrock Mine or Al Kharid mine, meaning the mining goes quicker, but its distance from a bank means the final profit is reduced.
  • If a player with a higher mining level is also mining the silver ore, you may not be able to get any
Crafting level 40
*****
43,000
Level 30 Mining coal
At this level you can mine coal and sell it for 266 coins each. Players can use the coal trucks west of Seers’ Village for more efficient mining. At the coal trucks your profit is about 108k an hour assuming you get a single coal ore in 5 seconds and later on sell the coal for 180gp a piece. The Seer’s headbands will increase the amount Stankers will allow in the coal trucks.
  • If a player with a higher mining level is also mining the coal, you may not be able to get any
Seer’s headband 1-3(optional)
*****
18,000
Level 40 Mining gold
You can mine gold ore in the Dwarven Mines, the Rimmington Mine, or in the Al-Kharid mine (each mine has 2 gold rocks). Gold ore sells for 319 coins each. However, this method is not very effective because of the slow respawn rate of gold (approx. 2 minutes). The player can also mine at the Arzinian Mine which has one-hundred and forty-six rocks. A nearby Dwarven boatman, east of the mine entrance, banks the player’s gold ore for a charge of 20% of the gold ores, rounded up. You can also mine at northwest Karamja near Brimhaven, Tzhaar City, and the mine under the Grand Tree (Grand Tree quest required). If you have completed the Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf quest, you can mine gold at the North Keldagrim mining area.
  • If a player with a higher mining level is also mining the gold, you may not be able to get any
  • Level 14 scorpions in the Al Kharid mine
  • King Scorpions in the Dwarven Mine
*Gold helmet

  • Ring of charos(a)

*****
29,000
Level 40 Mining gold (Karamja/Crandor)
Although Crandor island and the Karamja volcano would seem to be a good location for members as you can go through to tzhaar city and bank there.

  • If a player with a higher mining level is also mining the gold, you may not be able to get any
90 gold (for the boat); must have reached Crandor island on the Dragon slayer quest.
***** Level 40 Mining Gems (Shilo Village)
This is a very crowded place but you can still make a lot of money. You can get very bad gems like uncut opals, and you can get things like uncut emeralds, rubies, and diamonds which go for about 5k, 7k and 15k respectively. You can get about 200k-400k depending on your luck.
***** Level 55 Mining mithril
Mithril ore sells for 316 coins each, but supply is very limited for non-members. The Mining Guild contains 5 mithril rocks (but requires 60 Mining), and mining from mithril rocks in the Wilderness or Lumbridge Swamp is also possible. There are 3 mithril rocks at the Al Kharid mining area, and there is also mithril on Crandor, although the distance and the presence of aggressive monsters does not make it a convenient place to mine.

***** Level 60 Mining coal (Mining Guild)
Once you can enter the Mining Guild, coal mining speeds up noticeably as there are many coal rocks inside the Guild and the Guild is very close to the eastern bank in Falador.
***** Level 70 Mining adamantite
Adamantite ore sells for 1,131 each and can be found in the Hobgoblin Mine (level 34-37 Wilderness), the west Lumbridge Swamp mines, Crandor, or the Grand Tree mine (members). If you mine in the Wilderness mine, also note that it is a common place at which to find revenants. Do not pass through the Bandit Camp on your way to or from the mine. At First this seems very profitable but with the amount of time to switch worlds or waiting for the ore to re spawn it greatly decreases in profit per hour.Members who have started “The Fremmnik Isles” quest can mine the 11 rocks in the Jatizso mine. These mines are never taken, and can be freely mined on populated worlds without ever catching up to yourself. (tested with lvl 70 mining and a dragon pick on world 2)Also this mine is close to a bankMoney/ore amount scale:

  • 15 Adamantite ore= 16965 coins.
  • 28 Adamantite ore= 31668 coins.
  • 50 Adamantite ore= 56550 coins.
***** Level 77 Concentrated Coal
Coal ore may not be worth much, but you can mine a huge amount of it at the Living Rock Caverns. Refer to below (concentrated gold) for more information (besides money made). This ore is a logical precursor to concentrated gold. Mining it is slightly worse than granite for xp/hour, but you don’t have to drop it, so you make money.
***** Level 80 Concentrated gold
Gold ore may not be worth much, but you can mine a huge amount of it at the Living Rock Caverns. You can make anywhere from 100-200k per hour depending on if you’re using a rune or dragon pickaxe, and if you’re using a summon or not. World 84 has a network of players mining, fishing, and killing rock monsters, so you’re less likely to die there. The experience is also on-par with granite, so this is a great place for xp, cash, or smithing/crafting materials.
Very dangerous for low level players, level 120, 140 and 200 monsters are here
***** Level 85 Mining runite
Runite ore is the most expensive ore in the game, at 17,100 coins each. It is only found in a few locations, including a few rocks in deep Wilderness. This is the only runite location available to free players. The amount of time it takes runite to respawn is dependent on world population; it will spawn quicker on more-populated worlds. Most players who mine runite tend to switch worlds rather than wait for the ore to respawn. Again this is the same as with Adamantite ore. The amount of time world hopping and waiting decreases the profit per hour.Money/ore amount scale:

  • 15 Runite ore= 256500 coins.
  • 28 Runite ore= 478800 coins.
  • 50 Runite ore= 855000 coins.

Want to increase your magic level fast? Well then, pack your runes, and let’s get going.

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Skills

Want to increase your magic level fast? Well then, pack your runes, and let’s get going.

Magic is one of the most powerful combat types in Runescape, with attacks that deal high damage, as well as the ability to cast secondary non-combat spells that aid profitability, such as High Alchemy. However, Magic is quite expensive, as higher level spells go for about 500 gp a pop. With this in mind, I recommend that you have at least an air staff, and a fire staff as well if you plan to cast high alchemy en masse. For combat spells, the most cost effective is to use the air staff, however. Air runes are required for every combat spell, and cost about 15 gp each, so using an air staff with Fire Blast saves you 60 gp each cast.

Using a water staff with the debuff (curse, confuse, weaken) spells will also save you quite a bit of money as well, and if you are p2p, a very cost effective way of training is to simply use a mud staff, which supplies both water and earth runes for spells, and to buy only body runes and cast curse. At 8 gp a pop, you get 29 experience, making for quick and cheap training.

The only spellbook available to f2p players is the Modern Magic spellbook. Modern magic has many subsets: enchantment, teleportation, offensive spells, defensive spells, alchemy, binding, and transformation. Transformation and defensive spells are irrelevant for f2p players.

Alright, as we’ve already explained, magic is quite expensive to train, and in the process of training to about 60 Magic, you will use up about 300k of runes. We will be using a method found by me to be efficient, and quite cost effective when getting to the higher levels.

Levels 1-3: Wind Strike

Base xp per cast: 5.5
Runes required: 1 air, 1 mind.
Cost per cast: 25 gp, 10 gp with air staff

Wind Strike is the only spell you can cast at Magic Level 1, so that’s what we have to start with. Basically all we want to do with this is get to level 3 so we can use confuse.

Levels 3-11: Confuse

Base xp per cast: 13
Runes required: 3 water, 2 earth, 1 body
Cost per cast: 75 gp, 30 gp with water staff.

While slightly more expensive than simply continuing along the chain of strike spells, Confuse gives you quite a bit more xp, making it worth it. Once we get to level 11, we can simply go along to the next debuff spell, which is weaken.

Levels 11-19: Weaken

Base xp per cast: 20.5
Runes required: 3 water, 2 earth, 1 body
Cost per cast: 75 gp, 30 gp with water staff.

Here we go, just another debuff spell. Costs the same to use as confuse, but yields more experience. Just keep casting along here, until we get to yet another debuff spell, curse.

Levels 19-35: Curse

Base xp per cast: 29
Runes required: 2 water, 3 earth, 1 body
Cost per cast: 70 gp, 40 gp with water staff or earth staff.

Yes, another debuff spell. But they are quite good experience up to a certain point. At which point, we will finally stop using debuff spells, and start using fire bolt.

Levels 35-39: Fire Bolt - Max hit 12

Base xp per cast: 22.5 + 0-48
Runes required: 4 fire, 3 air, 1 chaos
Cost per cast: 200 gp, 160 with air staff.

Fire bolt is the very minimal spell that you should attain before even considering pking, and only if you are a very low level. This is sufficient for people around level 20-30. It shouldn’t take too long to get to level 39, provided that you already have the runes required.

Levels 39-55: Crumble Undead- Max hit 15

Base xp per cast: 24.5 + 0-60
Runes required: 2 earth, 2 air, 1 chaos
Cost per cast: 175, 145 with air staff

Crumble undead, is undoubtedly the fastest way to train until level 55. It hits undead creatures hard, and hits high often, meaning that you can sometimes pull off even better experience than blast spells. One of the best places to train with crumble undead is in the varrock sewers. Once you get here, the road to level 55 is quite fast.

Levels 55+: High Alchemy

Base xp per cast: 65
Runes required: 5 fire, 1 nature
Cost per cast: 340 gp, 300 with fire staff

High alchemy is the only real cost effective method to training magic past this point. Simply withdraw a large amount of a single item as a note, and place that in your 17th inventory slot. Then click on your spell list and select High Alchemy spell, once you click on it, it will automatically bring you to your inventory. Having put your notes in the 17th slot already, you do not need to move your mouse anymore. Happy training!

level your ranged level in Runescape fast

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Skills

Want to level your ranged level in Runescape fast? Here’s how.

Ranging is one of the best choices when pking. Rangers hit high-damaging attacks in quick succession, and hit over and over again. Their disadvantage is that they are lightly armored, and take heavy damage from other rangers, and armored warriors as well.

Here’s your guide as to the quickest way to level ranged in the f2p world.

You will generally want the best equipment available for your level, and a large supply of bronze/iron arrows. Iron or bronze because it is the most cost effective way.

Note that there is a bit of an overlap between the selections of monsters. It’s generally the player’s choice when to move on to the next set of monsters.

Level: 1-15

Monster: Chickens

This is the best start for ranging, as chickens will not damage you, and you can sell the feathers for about 5 gp each. Each chicken drops about 5-15 feathers, and they sell fairly well on the Grand Exchange. There are chicken pens south of Falador, and north-east of Lumbridge. You can train prayer from picking up and burying their bones.

Level 11-25

Monster: Cows

Cows work pretty well until level 25. They are fairly good xp, and you can train prayer from their bones. I wouldn’t bother with the cowhides, it’ll slow you down too much. There are cows at both the crafting guild, and north-east of Lumbridge.

Monster: Monks

Another option is to go to the monastary, and kill monks. They are north-west of barbarian villiage, just south of Edgevile. You can heal using them, and they are good experience. Can train prayer on them as well.

Levels 26-40

Monster: Barbarians

Barbarians are in barbarian village. In the hall, they spawn along with food. Stand behind the tables, and farcast. This is fairly good exp, and this is how I got up to 40. It gets slow after 30 though. It is near a bank, which adds to convenience.

Levels 36-60

Monsters: Edgeville Guards

They are located at Edgeville. You simply step over the wilderness ditch, and you can range them with impunity. This is generally the fastest f2p spot to train ranged, and it is seldom crowded.

Another option is to go the stronghold of security and kill the level 27 minotaurs. They drop iron arrows fairly frequently, so you can sustain your training indefinitely there, and are good experience up to level 70, or you can go to the Varrock sewers and kill moss giants.

Levels 60+

Monsters: Lesser Demons

After doing Dragon Slayer, you can go down to Crandor and kill the lesser demons there. Once you get them non-aggressive, you can range them with impunity, as there are several safe-spots.

Well, that’s all!

Legitimate Ways To Getting Rich In Runescape

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Uncategorized

ver wanted to get rich in runescape but couldn’t figure it out?

You’ll walk around runescape seeing many people trading items for load of money, how do they get this money? Are they using cheats?

More than likely not, if you need to ask how people get so much money, then you obviously don’t know the common “cheats” that can be performed to get it.

There are no “cheats” in runescape, however there are easy ways to make a lot of money that people just don’t know about because they don’t know where to look.

This might suprise you, but getting rich is nowhere near as difficult as you think it is. For example, I can make a few million a day easily and you can too. It will take you a while to get yourself to that kind of level, but with practice and the knowledge that I can give you, you’ll be there in no time. I’ve revealed a few money making “cheats” throughout this article to get you started, the rest are at my website.

Two things that will definately help you on your quest to becomming a millionnaire is this, don’t waste your time begging and if it sounds too good to be true it probably is, i.e. someone is trying to scam you, so just walk away.

Most of the big time money making methods are only available to paying members of runescape.

However, on my website I discuss loads of amazing methods which also work for free players.

For example, do you know how to craft air runes? Most people do, however once you reach a certain level, you will make more runes per essence.
If you had 10 rune essence, at level 1 you can make only 10 air runes, but did you know that once you reach a certain level, you can make 100 air runes from just 10 rune essence?

And all you had to do to get there was level up enough. That means you’ll be multiplying your profits by 10, read that again, you’ve just multiplied your profits by 10.

That’s just one simple little runescape “cheat” that I can share with you. There’s many MANY more.

Here’s another one, as you know, the more you fish, the more your level goes up, but it also means that you will catch fish quicker.

Have you bee. selling raw fish? STOP IMMEDIATELY, cook the fish and sell them for a MUCH bigger profit, again, a simple little “cheat” that will help you sky rocket your profits. You may burn quite a few at first, but the more you practise the less you’ll burn and the higher your profits soar.

So for now, forget combat, yep you heard me, forget combat. Combat doesn’t bring you nearly as much money as a free player as making the most of your skills will. Combat is greta and all, but if you haven’t got the money to buy you that next wicked cool weapon, then whats the point?

Yes grinding out the levels to actually GET to where you can make a ton of money is a little teadious, but just think of how much you could be making.

I wish you all the best in making money in runescape and hope to see you at my website soon for even more tips.

Items that Will Skyrocket After the PVP Worlds Come Out

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Uncategorized

Every time the grand exchange is updated, if an item is high in demand and low on supply (meaning that there are more people buying that people selling), the price will go up (because it’s rarity is higher), if it’s low on demand and high on supply then the price will decrease (the rarity dropped). After the new PvP worlds Jagex are releasing come out, people are definitely going to start pking again; these are items that will very like increase in value after the updates.
Manta Rays/Shark/Monk fish/Lobsters/Swordfish/Salmon/Trout

Food is the most common item for all pkers, its the most important thing for survival against other players. Usually no matter how strong you are, if you don’t have food than you will have a definite loss against someone of the same level with food. Food is required to fight, to defend, and in order to run away. Even though fishers will well be aware that the food prices will rise and they will start fishing again, more people will go buy the food.

Salmon and trout are usually used by players of lower levels that do not need better food because it is not worth the cost. Even some mid-level players may use salmon or trout when one-iteming to lose less when dying.

Potions

Many warriors will use strength potions when pking to deal extra damage per hit. The higher their strength levels, the more it will increase the strength level by. For example, a strength potion will bring level 1 to 2 and level 99 to 118. Higher leveled players usually have more money and will most likely buy more strength potions than others. A lot of players with prayer will always decide to bring a couple of prayer potions because prayer runs out quite quickly without prayer bonuses. Even with prayer bonuses, it will still eventually run out after a while.

Runescape Player Killing

Posted by: runescape  //  Category: Beginners' Guide

Are you the person who likes to have a lot of fun while playing games? Runescape has the answer to this player killing. Runescape features a special area in the game, where player-to-player combat is allowed it’s called “The Wilderness. The Wilderness, to put it in place, is the exciting part of Runescape.

When player killing, there are certain rules that are applied to the wilderness. For example, you are stopped from attacking or being attacked by certain combat level characters dependant on the level of The Wilderness your in. The further you venture into The Wilderness, the more The Wilderness level is, the greater the gap of combat for PKing. If you don’t understand that very well, here is an example.

Zezima is level 54 combat,
Goerg is level 53 combat,

Zezima and Goerg can fight each other in Wilderness Level 1.
Zezima moves to Wilderness Level 2.

They both are no longer able to combat each other as the Wilderness Level is 2. The range between the two characters combat level is 1, and so they are denied combat. If however, Zezima was level 55, or Goerg was level 52, then they would be able to fight in Wilderness Level 2 also. Get it?

There’s also another little trick in successful player-killing. Many people group together in order to kill a single player and/or group. The reason for this is,
a) If multiple people attack one player he can be killed quicker,
b) Certain combat abilities are stronger over others.

Let me explain reason b).
There’s a circle of combat where different combat types are more effective at combating others. This is how it goes:

Fighter > Ranger
Ranger > Mage
Mage > Fighter

So basically, a fighter has a better chance of killing a ranger.
A ranger has a better chance of killing a mage.
A mage has a better chance of killing a fighter.

This allows groups of all three to become really effective when fighting in the Wilderness although there are also disadvantages with grouping. Sometimes you team mate my go against you, and kill you in battle, or, when you do kill someone in group, you can’t seem to share the loot equally.

There’s also another rule of PKing. If you are in The Wilderness, and you attack someone (not if they attack you) you gain a skull above your head. This means that you’ve aggressed on someone, meaning you’ve attacked them. If you then die with the skull on your head, you lose all of the items in your inventory (bar one).

If someone attacks you, and you die, you’ll keep the three most valuable items in your inventory.

There are some cool things about The Wilderness too, for example the strong monsters you can find in it. The Wilderness contains some of the wildest, most fierce some monsters in the game, for example, Green Dragons, and Giants etc. It is arguable one of the best places for combat training.

Overall, The Wilderness is a very exciting part of Runescape, and should be tried by all (even the pacifists of you all!) You can risk losing items, but it doesn’t matter, it’s worth it for the fun!
