The Full Dragon Armour

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Equipment
Full Dragon is the most legendary and prestigous armour set in Runescape. The term “full” is player jargon and refers to a complete melee armor set consisting of four parts: full helm, platebody, platelegs and kiteshield. The different melee armour sets from low to high are bronze, iron, steel, black, mithril, adamant, rune & dragon.
There is also the Barrows armour and the Granite armour as well as Dragonhide armour for ranger and various robes for mages but neither of them really fit the “full” armour concept epitomized by bronze, iron, steel, black, mithril, adamant, rune and dragon. Unlike the other six armour types, Black and Dragon can’t be smithed from metal bars, they must be found. Black can only be aquired from monster drops and Dragon can only be aquired through Quests and from certain monster drops.

Please note that the “full” armour standard does not encompass just any helm, body, legs and shield - it refers to the full helm, the platebody, the platelegs and the kiteshield. The chainbody, the medium helm, chainskirt and the square shield are not integral parts of the full armour standard. However, in the case of full dragon there was initially no platebody or full helm and there still is no kiteshield available in the game and therefore the full dragon came to consist of Dragon med helm, Dragon chainbody, Dragon platelegs and Dragon square shield. The Dragon full helm was released in mid 2007 and the Dragon platebody in late 2008 and the full Dragon is now closer to what it should be: Dragon full helm, Dragon platebody, Dragon platelegs and Dragon square shield.

Runescape THE EYES OF GLOUPHRIE QUEST GUIDE

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Quests

Starting location: Speak to Brimstail, in his cave on the western side of the tree gnome stronghold.
Quest difficulty level: Easy.
Reward: 12000 Magic, 250 Construction, 2500 Woodcutting, 6000 Runecrafting, Crystal Saw (from small crystal seed).
Quest points gained: 2.
Required Quests: The Grand Tree.
Required Skills:Level 5 Construction, Level 46 Magic, Level 13 Runecrafting and Level 45 Woodcutting would be an advantage.
Required Items: Woodcutting Axe, a Bucket of Sap(or a Knife and Bucket), Hammer, Saw, Maple Logs, Oak Logs, one Mud Rune, Pestle and Mortar.
NPC:Brimstail, Hazelmere, King Narnode Shareen.

THE EYES OF GLOUPHRIE WALKTHROUGH
Talk to Brimstail and ask him about his new pet Izzie. He will tell you she has recently arrived. Ask him about his research and feign an interest in the history of his story; offer to help out and the quest will begin. He will tell you to go into the next cave and inspect the machine built by Oaknock the Engineer. Just inspect the machine and the crystal bowl (which is on an inaccessible island) and return to talk to Brimstail. Brimstail will ask you to talk to Hazelmere to discover the historical mistrust of Mages by Gnomes. Hazelmere is the Gnome you spoke to during the Grand Tree quest. He is located on the Jungle Spider Island east of Yanille ( you can take the Spirit Tree teleport to the Tree Gnome Village, use the Watchtower teleport or use the Fairy Ring to speed up your journey). Once you arrive speak to Hazelmere, but of course he only speaks Ancient Gnomish. Don’t worry, continue listening and responding to his gibberish and he will cast a spell on you enabling you to communicate. Once you can communicate, Hazelmere will tell you a long story about the fall of Glouphrie and the historical mistrust of Mages. When he has finished his story he will give you a crystal disk. Return to Brimstail to recount Hazelmere’s story. While you are explaining this to Brimstail you notice a mysterious figure sneak past and sabotage the machine. Speak to Brimstail again and he will ask you to inspect the machine. So head round the corner and inspect the machine and try to fix it, you will find that it is indeed broken. To fix the machine you need: one set of Maple Logs, one set of Oak Logs, a saw, a hammer, and Magic Glue. Most of this list is pretty obvious except the Magic Glue. Talk to Brimstail and he will eventually tell you to get some sap from an evergreen tree (normal trees with pointed tops also class as evergreens). To do this you must have a bucket in your inventory and use a knife on the tree. You should now have a bucket of sap. To make the glue you need to use a Mud Rune with a Pestle and Mortar to get a powdered mud rune. Add this powder to the sap to make glue. You can now return to the machine and fix it. Unfortunately, once you fix it, the machine is locked again. When you try to unlock the machine you are presented with a random number and a slot. The solution is to find the particular coloured shape associated with that number. There are four shapes (circle, triangle, square, pentagon) and seven colors. To find a number associated with a particular shape/color combination you multiply the number of sides the shape has by the number associated with the colour. The colors are: Red = 1, Orange = 2, Yellow = 3, Green = 4, Blue = 5, Indigo = 6, and Violet = 7. The four shapes having the following values: Circle = 1, Triangle = 3, Square = 4, and Pentagon = 5. In order to unlock the machine you must find a shape which is equivalent to the number given on the front of the machine. To do this you have to use Oaknock’s Exchanger next to the main machine. The Exchanger will take up to 3 disks and convert them into other disks of equal value; do this until you are able to get a single disk with the value you require. If you need more crystal disks go and talk to Brimstail (he will only give you more disks twice unless you drop some and ask again). Once you have your disk you just need to insert it into Oaknock’s Machine and click the green button. Now you have opened the machine you’ve got to do it all again, only this time there are three numbers. The first must be a single disk of the given value. The second must be exactly two disks which add up to the given value and the third is exactly three disks adding up to the given value. Again, if you need any more disks just go back to Brimstail and he will give you more. Once you are done the machine starts working the pet will become an Evil Creature. Talk to Brimstail, he isn’t very happy about the fact his pet has transformed. He suspects that that the creatures are spies for Glouphrie and that they need to be killed. Now you have to find all six creatures and kill them at these locations: Brimstail’s cave, entrance to the Stronghold, next to the Spirit Tree, Tortoise training area north of the swamp, next to King Narnode Shareen, and next to the Gnome Glider at the top of the Grand Tree. Once you have heroically slain the six Evil Creatures talk to King Narnode Shareen to complete the quest and receive your reward.

How to Get Good Runecrafting in RuneScape

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Skills

Runecrafting is a long, involved skill, which is fairly hard to master. It is very useful after the 60’s and 70’s. This wiki should be able to help you level it up a lot. This is for free players also, I got 54 Runecrafting as a Free Player anyway.

  1. So….How do you even runecraft? Well runecrafting is one of the most complicated skills, yet the most rewarding almost. It is basically making the runes that mages and others use in runescape everyday. But, the more expensive the runes, the higher the level you need to make them. This is how to achieve a good runecrafting level in runescape.
  2. Also, by doing that, you can become VERY rich.
  3. First off, you need to do a quest. It is very simple and straightforward and it’s called Rune Mysteries - if you need help please go to Runehq.com, which helps for quests.
  4. Once that quest is done, mine some rune essence. You will know how by the end of the rune mysteries quest how to teleport to mine rune essence (Also, rune essence is great for selling in bulk for runecrafters).
  5. You should have an air talisman from rune mysteries. Click locate on the talisman and it should tell you a direction to go to. You will end up just south of Falador’s eastern bank (by the mining guild) and just North of Port Sarim.
  6. You will find yourself in front of some rocks, that will be called ancient ruins, or something like that.
  7. Use the air talisman with the big altar thing, and you will see the text in your chat box “You feel a great power grip you.” And you will be teleported to a giant hill with hundreds of trees around you. In the center of the hill you will see a giant stone slab that has the air rune symbol etched into it. This is where you craft runes. Now, you should mine some rune essences. 422 of them to be exact, which will be relatively quick. You can also buy them but mining will be much smarter since you will make no profit by buying them.
  8. Now, once you have you 422 rune essences, buy a tiara. All you have to do to make it go by a bit faster is go to the air altar, use your tiara with the big stone slab in the center (make sure you have the air talisman), and it will turn into an air tiara (your talisman will disappear). Now, all you have to do is wear it and click on the ruins instead of using the talisman with the ruins. Also, it will give you an extra space.
  9. Now, craft all of this essence, and you will level up very quickly in the beginning. You will level up about each load until maybe level 5. Once you reach level 11 you will notice you make double the amount of air runes to the amount of essence you are carrying.
  10. After you are done you will have 572 air runes. You can sell these at about 11 a piece. That means that you have just made 6.2k in just a little bit. This is a great idea for low levels trying to get money. Now, you can make fire runes.
  11. You are 14 runecrafting! Nice! And so the leveling system begins…
  12. Levels 14-27
  13. And so…you have progressed unto the stage of free players and members versions of runecrafting. After this part, there will be two ways to get runecrafting up. The member’s way, and the free player’s way.
  14. Now, you are 14 runescrafting. You are going to get 27 runecrafting, you will need 7623 xp. This means about 1089 rune essence. PLEASE! Be patient enough to mine this! It will only take about 1-2 hours, since rune essence mining is very quick.
  15. Now, you need to go to Al Kharid. You will need a fire talisman also, and if you press locate you will eventually end up just north of the dueling arena entrance. Fire runes are 7 xp each, so you will be getting 196 xp per load. (Remember to make a fire tiara, same thing as air tiara.)
  16. Ok. These are the member and free player options now!
  17. Now this is the free player option. You will need all of your essence noted in your inventory. Bring with you about 5k, or all the money you made from your air runes. Now, all you have to do is sell 26 rune essences to the general store which is just south of the fire altar. Buy these rune essences back very quickly. (Note: Your money will go down, but you will not lose too much. You can sell the fire runes back for more than double the cash you used)
  18. Repeat this until all of your rune essence is gone. You are now 27 runecrafting, Gratz.
  19. Members option!
  20. This is a good option if you do not want to use money, but the above option is faster. The duel arena bank is very close so that would be a good bank to use to store your runes and get you essence. Keep doing this until your done, and Gratz. 27 runecraft.
  21. Now, please, sell these runes. You will easily make about 14k off of them. Your Welcome.
  22. Now, I think I should start with the free players first. Yeah, you can’t make cosmic runes. Sorry, but its okay, I have some ideas.
  23. Well, to be honest, the best xp you can get is body runes. But, body runes are useless. So, they sell for little money. But, my friend, this is where the rubber hits the road until you bet some REAL money.
  24. So, please, start off mining your essence. This is the last time you will mine essence, so be happy. Mine 1136 rune essence. Keep your clicking finger ready, and when your done, walk to edgeville. (You will need a body talisman, which are VERY easy to find. People will give you one if you ask. Trust me.) Now, make a tiara like you did your fires and airs.
  25. The altar you want is just to the west of the barbarian village in the middle of the woods. You will see it, and then go inside. (It is one of the most interesting altars to me.)
  26. Craft ALL of those runes and then you will be 33 runecrafting. Congratulations, say goodbye to mining rune essence.
  27. Member’s way.
  28. First..you will need to do the quest Lost City, which is relatively short and gives rights to wielding dragon longswords and daggers, and access to the Cosmic altar! You may want 46 or 66 agility to make it faster, but is not required. Okay, you will need to get 44 runecrafting. You DO NOT WANT TO CRAFT CHAOS RUNES!!! It is long and tiring, since the altar is a maze (Literally, not joke. It’s a freaking maze.) It takes about 10 minutes for one load…
  29. Now, the altar is very quick to find, and you may want to buy your rune essence. But, rune essence has now turned into PURE rune essence. You have to buy it for more each, at around 80 each. It’s going to be kind of expensive, but you can easily mine it but you have to have 30 mining. Anyway, you will somehow have to get 5740 PURE rune essences.
  30. Get your cosmic talisman, which is more expensive then your basic rune talismans that you were getting. Make a tiara, and begin the long journey. This is, as was the member version, where the rubber hits the road. Its goign to be a while til’ you get lots of money. As the saying goes, No pain, No gain.
  31. Now that you’ve crafted them all, you’re 44 runecrafting. Nice.
  32. Free players!
  33. If you are going to be a free player forever, then runecrafting isn’t too important, but it is a huge money maker even still. Now that you’re 33 runecraft, you can quadruple the amount of airs you make out of essence.
  34. So, somehow you had to sell your body runes (the Grand Exchange works best) Nice job my man, the rune essence mining spot is now a thing of the past to you. (Unless you like it…THAT much.)
  35. Well, I am not sure of the price of rune essence, but buy as much as you can on the Grand exchange, and make air runes. Make all of the airs into air runes, and sell for the basic price. You pretty much quadruple the price you bought your runes for. You will make about 100 air runes at a time, and you can sell them for loads of money. Since there is no FAST way to get it up in the free worlds, this is the FAST way to make money in free worlds instead. Every 11 levels that you go up means you added to the amount that you multiply your essence by to get you air runes. So, at 44 runecrafting, you quintruple you amount, at 55 you sextuple, and 66….on and on and on…. You’ll be rich. Keep doing this and you can very easily become a millionaire.
  36. Members version.
  37. Ahh…Nature runes…These babies require no quest at all. The talisman is a bit expensive but you can handle it. Now you need to do the same thing you did for the Al Kharid fire runes here. There is a shop just north of a little tribe. Carry your essences with you (plus about 50k), sell to the shop, then buy back very quickly. Your goal is now 54 runecrafting though, and this is going to be the hardest time of all of the runecrafting stages.
  38. They are not known for this, but I call these next 10 levels, the terrible ten. You are going to get BORED!!!! You will be very bored. Now here are the numbers, Good LUCK!
  39. You will be making nature runes. If you buy all the rune essence you need, you will get about 840k to buy all the essence. That means you need 10581 rune essence! THAT’S A LOT! (Please join the clan chat Entrana99 for entertainment during the training.)
  40. DO NOT try to get that much if you do not have that much. If you do have that much, buy that essence. Otherwise, get enough to buy about 1k rune essence. Once you make 1k nature runes, you profit skyrockets! You now have 260k after selling these nature runes. Buy all the essence you can afford and sell those after you make nature runes out of them. Keep doing this until you have 54 runecrafting. Now comes the CHA CHING! Gratz聽:)
  41. Okay, if you made all that essence into nature runes when you had the money to get all the essence at one time, you have over 2.7 mil. Nice. If you didn’t buy all them at one time, you still have a lot of money. Now go spend it. You don’t need it, unless you really want to make nature runes for more money. But, laws are not fast to make, and they only give good cash but not good numbers in short time. But, they give AMAZING xp. That is why I suggest that you join the Teal Clan of world 99. They are a clan that people give their essences to for law runes. You don’t even need to give them rune essences back. You level up very quickly. Do this until maybe 59 runecrafting and then its back to money.
  42. You have 59 runecraft, eh? NICE!!
  43. You can double comic runes now. They go for 150 ea, which is even more than nature runes. A good idea to start off with is to get about 2k pure essence, then craft it all. (46 agility suggested, it goes much faster, trust me.) You have…Four…THOUSAND cosmic runes. That is pretty much the same thing as…Six…HUNDRED-THOUSAND!!! Dollars. My suggestion? Buy 6k Pure ess. That means that you have about 120k extra for maybe that new berserker helm…granite shield…AND Dragon dagger (p++). Nice, huh?
  44. Now…craft them all again. You will have 12,000 cosmic runes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  45. AMAZING!!!!! NOW SELL THEM! Or! try the mage training arena just north of the duel arena. It gives good xp…but I think I’ll take the money聽:)
  46. So now you have 1.8 MILLION gp. What to do? It would be smart to continue doing this. You get level ups, and very fast cash. Eventually though, maybe if you hit 70 after doing this, you will be looking for more….Well…keep reading…..
  47. Remember the teal clan? You are still in the clan…train your runecrafting like crazy there! Keep going! Yes! Until you are 91 runecrafting.
  48. You will need to make 543706 law runes (its hard to keep track when people are running for you) You will not make any money. (Sorry)
  49. This will be the hardest and longest part if you do this. But, once you hit 91 runecrafting, 520k per hour ain’t shabby?
  50. You will have millions in no time. You will have noobs begging all over for you! You will have whips…dragon armour…so many dragon weapons you’ll be giving them away! And it’s all because of runecrafting.
  51. HAPPY RUNECRAFTING!
  • This is a boring skill at times. Don’t give up too quickly, because you WILL get money later.
  • When you get Level 25 Runecrafting and are a member, do the Abyss mini-quest and get the pouch. It helps runecrafting go a little faster.

Runescape non-member Pking Guide

Posted by: cool  //  Category: Uncategorized

Pking, or player killing, is one of the most favorite pastimes in Runescape history. The deeper you go the harder it is to survive. Jagex, they creators of Runescape, created new items and armor to ensure the combat triangle to stay alive. Unfortunately, they did not count on people making hybrids to combat and destroy the combat triangle. Here is the most recent guide to defeating all and save money in the wild.

Ranger pures: Ranger pures enjoy their speed and mild damage in any battle. Also they have d-hide armor that protects them from mages in combat. Standard inventory for rangers include 24 food varieties and 3 teleport runes. They should have an empty space to pick up fallen arrows. Their armor should be d-hide chaps and vambraces. Their weapon of choice is definitely the bow. Arrows depend on the type of bow their using.

Ranger def: Ranger def are very good against def warriors and pures. They don’t do much damage considering how much a normal ranger should but they make up for that by using rune chains. Standard armor for def rangers should include either full d-hide or rune chain in place of d-hide for those who have not completed dragon slayer. They should wear rune full helm and amulet of accuracy. Their bow and arrow should depend on their range level though I recommend not becoming a ranger def until level 60 range.

Ranger mage: These rangers have the ability to take down warriors really well. They use range to annoy the enemy and take their health down to around 16 then mage them for an automatic hit. Defeating ranger mages take pures or def rangers because their d-hide can block them. Standard and recommended armor includes death runes, air staff to trick opponent into taking off armor, power amulet, and d-hide chaps. Bow and arrow once again depend on the pkers level in range.

Ranger warrior: These are probably the most effective fighters on a non-member world. Their range is used to maintain a good speed and the 2-hand combo works well with ranger warriors. It is recommended to have 70+ strength and 60+ ranges before attempting this for the best performance. The bow should always be a short bow for maximum speed. Standard equipment is rune 2-hands, full d-hide, power amulet, bow and arrow, and rune full helm.

Warrior def: These warriors are very pesky to other pkers because of their defense. Fortunately for mages, they don’t hit high and def does not matter to mages because they usually hit them anyways. Standard armor includes full rune and rune chain in place of rune plate body in case they did not do dragon slayer quest. Rune scimitars are the most common weapons for them but long swords have better chances of hitting the opponent. Some def noobs bring rune 2-hands to do the combo. Amulet of strength, defense, or power is recommended. I recommend adamant armor because its very cheap compared to rune and still does a lot of def. Mages also can’t very well against adamant compared to rune even though they still hit them. It is recommended to also bring range armor like leather body so they can get defense against mage.

Warrior pures: this is considered the most effective and cheap pker at level 40-60. They can do immense damage to any type of pker except for def rangers and warriors. Also they should have 25 pray or more to keep their weapon in case of death. If you see a warrior pure, you really should not challenge him or her because they will waste your food and even if you were to win, they would keep their weapon. Recommended armor include mage robes, priest gowns, shade robes, or monk robes. They should also carry an iron kite as a shield for some def. You never really know when some def will come in handy.

Warrior mages: Warrior mages are very ineffective because their armor takes off mage attacks. NEVER BE A WARRIOR MAGE! IT IS A WASTE OF TIME, RUNES, AND ARMOR. YOU WILL LOSE ANY FIGHT AS A WARRIOR MAGE! BE WARNED.

Mages def: These guys will lose most fights because def waste their leveling and makes them vulnerable to stronger fighters. Never be one of these guys either.

Mages pure: These guys work well as a non-member until the level of 35. After a while, pures can defeat them. They can still defeat Def noobs until level 60+ Mages do work well in clans because they can bind. Mages are considered the most expensive and every 100-death rune used or 200 chaos runes used must be used with extreme caution. You don’t want to waste money.
Thank you and good luck in the wilderness.
