Advisors

Posted by: runescape  //  Category: Beginners' Guide

Once you are out and about in Lumbridge, you can call on Roddeck - a useful gentleman who is happy to offer his advice - at any time with one click of the advisor button. This button is situated to the left of the logout button.

Clicking on this question mark icon will open up the advisor system: a list of every subject that Roddeck feels you would be interested in, based on where you are, what you are doing, your current levels and even what you are holding. Roddeck knows a great deal about a variety of subjects, from skills to combat, money-making to banking, gaining health to burying bones; often it is worth just browsing the advice he offers to build up a full and comprehensive knowledge of the early game.

The advice that Roddeck offers comes in four separate forms. The first is from the man himself: by clicking on “Ask Roddeck for advice” you will get some succinct words from Roddeck about your chosen subject. These will most often be direct answers to the questions highlighted in yellow in the Advisors System.

You will also be able to “Read more on the website”, which will open a separate tab in your browser. On this tab you will find the relevant Knowledge Base page for that subject, offering more comprehensive advice, should you need it.

You can access tutorials, which will take you through, step-by-step, how to perform a particular action; for example, “Tutorial: Using the bank” will guide you to a nearby bank and then show you how to deposit and withdraw a leaflet. The tutorials can only be accessed in the starting area.

Finally, Roddeck will offer to plot an arrow to a nearby and useful area. If you are after somewhere to mine, fish or simply get some free stuff, an arrow will appear both on your minimap and your world map, directing you to a suitable area.

Once you have finished receiving advice from Roddeck, simply click on the ‘x’ at the top-right of the interface and continue to explore!

Why do you play Runescape? Is it in your mind? Is it just there for you? Well i think i know why lots of people love to play Runescape.

Controls: Its Simple, Easy and fun. All you do is mouse click that’s all it needs a mouse click most mmorpgs are very hard and takes so much controls at once at that is very tricky but runescape Just A CLICK! isn’t that impressive!

Size: Lots and Lots of boring mmorpgs are 500Mb-3GB Now i don’t know Laptops but that is ALOT. It must take like 5 hours to download before you play the game well runescape takes about 5 minutes and is much better than most of them 3GB mmorpg games there are out there.
So Runescape is an small size file to play and easy controls but theres more!

Skills: most games don’t even work on skills but 75% of runescape is Skills they clever and very easy Woodcutting,Mining, fishing lots more to work for and even when you get 99 you get an awesome skill cape. Now 99 is determination and you can say to people “ha ha i got 99 and you got 50!” “hahahahha” Skills also gets you rich and you can “show off” with your armour

Money: this is where people start to dribble lots of people are rich and show off if you want to be one of them look at my detailed guides on how to be rich and there is f2p so don’t worry about f2p money making guides well Money is easy and simple up to 200k pr hr in f2p and 1mill in p2p. money is the best thing ever you could get up to awesome robes to gold armour now i would be nagging that guy for money.

Quests: Another brutal thing for Runescape quests some give you imaginary skills, items magic spells and some even secret places now that is awesome ! Hard quests recommend a good level but easy quests are what your looking at.

Well that’s like everything to runescape. Theres so many things. That I can’t count. This is the future of Mmorpgs. All of these awesome things most mmorpg are just killing and quest but I believe that Runescape is yet to come !

Money making guide/Firemaking

Posted by: runescape  //  Category: Beginners' Guide
Effectiveness Firemaking level requirement Details Other requirements
***** None In some locations where fires are helpful but hard to come by, you can “sell” fires to the players there by bringing a tinderbox and some logs and offering to light a fire for a fee. A common location for this is the fishing spot at Musa Point on Karamja Island in free-to-play worlds, where few regular trees are found and there is no nearby bank.
***** Level 5 Cremating shades in the Shades of Mort’ton minigame not only gives Firemaking experience, but may also yield keys that can be used to get access to many valuable items. These include fine cloth, which sells for 10,100 coins and is used in making splitbark armour. Players with higher level Firemaking can make better profit from this as the higher level shades and pyre logs yield better rewards. Fiyr shades yield rune armour and weapons as well as occasional Level 3 clue scrolls. 40 combat, Shades of Mort’ton quest
***** Level 40 Kill vyrewatches and cremate their corpses (see the Shades of Mort’ton article to learn how to do so). They can only be cremated with teak pyre logs or higher, but cremating vyre corpses yields a Columbarium key, which can be used to get access to many valuable items in the Columbarium, including trimmed rune armour, snapdragon seeds and more. High combat and Legacy of Seergaze quest

Flipping

Posted by: runescape  //  Category: Beginners' Guide

Flipping involves buying an item for as little as possible and then selling for as much as possible within a few hours. See the whip example above for an illustration of how flipping works. Flipping is unique in that it can be used to profit from an item falling in price, by buying for much below the median price and selling for a little under in the median price. This is sometimes called reverse flipping as opposed to regular flipping for an item rising in price but this distinction is not always made.

  • Remember that it can be difficult to buy an item for below medium and sell for above medium, unless the price actually changes from falling to rising, because prices are virtually always either falling or rising, and often only switch every few days. Advice to buy for the absolute minimum and sell at the absolute maximum is not sound because it is very unlikely for this to occur unless you are investing and are actually predicting a price reversal.
  • When flipping you should have a selection of items that you should flip over and over. You can avoid the 4 hour timer by switching to another item after selling a previous item. This way you may be able to flip all your cash several times per day. In general you make 0.5% to 2% profit per flip, although of course it’s possible to lose money, or make more than that. In a good day you may increase your net worth by 1%-2%; this can add up over time. Another way to avoid the 4-hour timer is to buy directly from a player instead of through the Grand Exchange, but it is often difficult to get either the quantity or a good enough price to make this worthwhile.
  • If you buy an item and find that a major crash has started and you cannot sell at minimum, you can either hang on it until the price rises again, or dump it at minimum. If you choose your items carefully, this shouldn’t happen to you very often. A wise rule is to always do a test buy of a small quantity, and then resell to see how quickly the item moves. If you can buy ten easily, then sell ten easily, next time try to buy 50/sell 50, then try to buy 250/sell 250. Never start out buying a huge quantity of an untested item.
  • You also want to find items that are in your price range. If you only have 100k to invest on an item, you probably don’t want to pick an item that is 50K as you would only be able to buy 2 of them. Instead pick items that are about 250-500 coins, that way you could buy up to 2000-4000 of them. Quantity is usually more important than price, but not always. If your investing funds are low, it is best to focus on quantity, then as your investing funds rise, focus on quality, such as high level armour, or weapons, or rares.
  • Pay attention to the charts: they are EXTREMELY valuable. How to find the charts: Go to the RuneScape Home page. Click on the menu bar “Game Guide”, then click on “Grand Exchange”. Bookmark this page in your browser, it will serve you well in the future. This is your home base for trading. You can see which items are going up in price, and which are going down. Type in an item, such as “Law Rune” in the search box, then hit “Go.” You will get a list of items which either have “law” or “rune” in the item name. Click on “Law Rune” which should be at the top of the list. The first chart you will see is the 30 day chart, hit the button at bottom right marked “90 Days”. This will give you an overview of how the price has been increasing or decreasing over the past 90 days. For a longer chart you can also chose the “180 days” button. (which is almost a half year)
  • Using the charts you can usually predict which items will be increasing in price, and which will continue to fall. Be aware that many items will rise and fall repeatedly within a certain range, so the graph will look like a wave. These items are especially valuable as flipping items, as they are somewhat predictable. You want to buy right at the bottom of the wave, and sell at the top. Looking at the last 30 days on the chart should give you an excellent idea of where the buy and sell point will be.
  • Another important concept is DIVERSIFICATION! Do not put all your money on one item. If it drops in price, you are in trouble. Try flipping 70% items that are resources like flax, food, bolts, ore, runes stuff people will need badly and 30% in technical items like armour, weapons or rares if you’re rich enough. Try to pick four to six good items (you may have to experiment to find four good ones) and just keep buying low, and selling high. Remember there are always impatient players who get rare items as a drop, such as corrupt dragon items, and they need cash fast, so they will sell for the minimum. That is great for you as you can buy cheap. Then later will come the impatient buyer, who has to have that item right away and is willing to pay a lot of money: great for you also. You must be able to be patient and buy cheap, then you must also be patient and sell high. Patience is one of the keys to making in money trading. Waiting for the right seller to come along, then once you have a good stock of the items, waiting until the right buyer comes along. One rule of thumb is this: if you find the right items, you should be able to buy some and resell the same items within 24 hours. If you can’t buy a supply of your preferred trading item within 12 hours, you probably should pick another item, or rethink your price. Same goes for selling: if you can’t unload the supply of items within 12 hours, your price is probably too high, or the demand is falling.
  • As a general rule, you want to buy overnight, and sell during the day. This is because there are fewer players at night and it will be harder for them to unload their items that they manufacture or receive as drops, so they get desperate and lower the price. Also demand will rise during the day, especially during “prime time” which is 9pm to 4am GMT.
  • Trial and error will let you know what the right price points are. Sometimes you can offer a single item at max, if it doesn’t sell, cancel and re-offer at a lower price. Repeat until you find a price that the item moves easily. Re-offer all your stock at that price. You have to balance speed and profit. Sometimes it is better to sell something for slightly above market price in one hour than wait 12 hours to sell them all at maximum price. Remember, the key is profit per hour. If you can move more items quicker, you might make more money even though it’s a smaller profit on each individual item. Ever wonder why stores have big sales? This is why.
  • Remember to treat the items as commodities. It doesn’t really matter what sort of item is it. It can be an expensive barrows item, or something really lame like Guam seeds, or bronze daggers. Don’t worry about anything except if you can buy the item cheap and sell it later at a profit. Don’t buy an item because YOU like it, you want to buy and sell based on what other people like, want, or need.
  • The market is volatile and prices and therefore supply and demand change hourly. Don’t get frustrated if you can’t buy something at a price you like. Move on to a different item. After a few weeks of trading you will probably have a list of your favourite ten or twenty items that you like to buy and sell. Everyone’s list will be different, but find items that work for you. Be aware that some days will just be “dry” and you will have trouble finding any good bargains to buy and you will have trouble getting a good price for items you sell. Don’t get discouraged. You will find that other days everything you do will be a “home run” you will make so much profit it will astound you. This is the nature of the business. Do not change the way you do business on dry days. It is easy to get desperate for profit and start making bad decisions. Do not let this happen to you.
  • Flipping a crashing item that has not been manipulated can also be extremely profitable but also extremely risky. This involes buying an item at near minimum and selling below medium before the next grand exchange update.
  • Remember, most players (who aren’t merchers) buy and sell either at minimum, maximum, or the market prices. It is easier for them just to punch one of those buttons and set their price. Therefore there will be hundreds of buy orders at minimum, and hundreds of sell orders at maximum. Don’t fight that crowd. If you want to buy cheap, set your price a few coins above minimum, that way your order gets filled first. Same with selling, if you drop your price a few coins below maximum, your sell order will complete faster.
  • Also, don’t get greedy. If you are averaging 1% to 2% return on your money per day, you are doing excellent. Don’t try to do the “giant deal”, or the “big score” in hopes of making a lot of profit all in one day. You want multiple small profits repeating every day, not one big kill. The big kill can end up killing you if the items decide to crash instead of go up.

Want to increase your magic level fast? Well then, pack your runes, and let’s get going.

Want to increase your magic level fast? Well then, pack your runes, and let’s get going.

Magic is one of the most powerful combat types in Runescape, with attacks that deal high damage, as well as the ability to cast secondary non-combat spells that aid profitability, such as High Alchemy. However, Magic is quite expensive, as higher level spells go for about 500 gp a pop. With this in mind, I recommend that you have at least an air staff, and a fire staff as well if you plan to cast high alchemy en masse. For combat spells, the most cost effective is to use the air staff, however. Air runes are required for every combat spell, and cost about 15 gp each, so using an air staff with Fire Blast saves you 60 gp each cast.

Using a water staff with the debuff (curse, confuse, weaken) spells will also save you quite a bit of money as well, and if you are p2p, a very cost effective way of training is to simply use a mud staff, which supplies both water and earth runes for spells, and to buy only body runes and cast curse. At 8 gp a pop, you get 29 experience, making for quick and cheap training.

The only spellbook available to f2p players is the Modern Magic spellbook. Modern magic has many subsets: enchantment, teleportation, offensive spells, defensive spells, alchemy, binding, and transformation. Transformation and defensive spells are irrelevant for f2p players.

Alright, as we’ve already explained, magic is quite expensive to train, and in the process of training to about 60 Magic, you will use up about 300k of runes. We will be using a method found by me to be efficient, and quite cost effective when getting to the higher levels.

Levels 1-3: Wind Strike

Base xp per cast: 5.5
Runes required: 1 air, 1 mind.
Cost per cast: 25 gp, 10 gp with air staff

Wind Strike is the only spell you can cast at Magic Level 1, so that’s what we have to start with. Basically all we want to do with this is get to level 3 so we can use confuse.

Levels 3-11: Confuse

Base xp per cast: 13
Runes required: 3 water, 2 earth, 1 body
Cost per cast: 75 gp, 30 gp with water staff.

While slightly more expensive than simply continuing along the chain of strike spells, Confuse gives you quite a bit more xp, making it worth it. Once we get to level 11, we can simply go along to the next debuff spell, which is weaken.

Levels 11-19: Weaken

Base xp per cast: 20.5
Runes required: 3 water, 2 earth, 1 body
Cost per cast: 75 gp, 30 gp with water staff.

Here we go, just another debuff spell. Costs the same to use as confuse, but yields more experience. Just keep casting along here, until we get to yet another debuff spell, curse.

Levels 19-35: Curse

Base xp per cast: 29
Runes required: 2 water, 3 earth, 1 body
Cost per cast: 70 gp, 40 gp with water staff or earth staff.

Yes, another debuff spell. But they are quite good experience up to a certain point. At which point, we will finally stop using debuff spells, and start using fire bolt.

Levels 35-39: Fire Bolt - Max hit 12

Base xp per cast: 22.5 + 0-48
Runes required: 4 fire, 3 air, 1 chaos
Cost per cast: 200 gp, 160 with air staff.

Fire bolt is the very minimal spell that you should attain before even considering pking, and only if you are a very low level. This is sufficient for people around level 20-30. It shouldn’t take too long to get to level 39, provided that you already have the runes required.

Levels 39-55: Crumble Undead- Max hit 15

Base xp per cast: 24.5 + 0-60
Runes required: 2 earth, 2 air, 1 chaos
Cost per cast: 175, 145 with air staff

Crumble undead, is undoubtedly the fastest way to train until level 55. It hits undead creatures hard, and hits high often, meaning that you can sometimes pull off even better experience than blast spells. One of the best places to train with crumble undead is in the varrock sewers. Once you get here, the road to level 55 is quite fast.

Levels 55+: High Alchemy

Base xp per cast: 65
Runes required: 5 fire, 1 nature
Cost per cast: 340 gp, 300 with fire staff

High alchemy is the only real cost effective method to training magic past this point. Simply withdraw a large amount of a single item as a note, and place that in your 17th inventory slot. Then click on your spell list and select High Alchemy spell, once you click on it, it will automatically bring you to your inventory. Having put your notes in the 17th slot already, you do not need to move your mouse anymore. Happy training!

Easiest Skills to Get to 99

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Uncategorized

Sick of watching countless people walking by, boasting their skill cape, talking down to their “subjects” during one of your sessions in Runescape? I know I am. So here is a quick list of skills that take the shortest amount of time and effort to get up to 99 to get the skill cape so you can become one of those jerks!

1. Fletching - Hands down, the easiest skill in all of Runescape to master. Quick to level up, no effort is really needed, just click on your bank and take out some logs, fletch them, put them in the bank, repeat. You dont even have to get your own logs. Just stand by the Grand Exchange and buy logs (assuming you do have the money) and begin your ascention into ninety-ninedom.

2. Woodcutting- Similar to flecthing, and if you want to take out two birds with one stone then you could knock out woodcutting and fletching at the same time.

3. Cooking- Again, similar to fletching in that you can buy all of the food you want from the Grand Exchange, only you cant stand right in your bank and gain levels, you must find a range, cook, run back to your bank and restock. (Catherby is an excellent place to do this).

4. Hunter- People will be surprised to see this ahead of fishing but I do have a reason. You can get 99 in Hunter much more quickly than in fishing but Hunter requires a lot more effort, so it really becomes a question of, do I want to work hard and get this done quickly, or barely work at all, and reach my goal a little more slowly. The choice is yours.

5. Fishing- See above.

Runescape Woodcutting Basics

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Skills

Woodcutting in Runescape is one of the most popular skills in the game. Woodcutting is a skill that costs very little Runescape gold to get started. As a matter of fact you don’t need gold to start woodcutting. All you need is an axe bronze or iron at first and you can make axes with the smelting skill or you can just buy one for a few gold at the market place.

Woodcutting is one of the easiest skills to level in Runescape. All it takes is time and patience to level up this skill. Woodcutting is beneficial in many ways. You can use it to make materials for bows and arrows, witch works on another skill called fletching, or you can use the logs to build up another skill called fire making. Last but not least you can just woodcut to sell logs to people that are working on their fletching skill, though this is not profitable until you are able to cut yew trees. Yew logs sell for 350 gold each.

When a player starts woodcutting the levels increase very fast. I suggest you find trees that are somewhat close to a bank. This way you can just bank the logs you cut and wait until you have a large amount (over a thousand) and decide what you are going to do with them.

One thing to keep in mind while woodcutting, is that you should always get the best axe you can use at that time. Having the best axe will increase the speed at which you cut the logs. Also as you increase levels you can cut different trees. You will want to switch to trees the same way you do axes. As soon as something better is available use until you reach willow trees.

Willows trees are what you are going to train on till level 65. You will want to cut willows because it is very quick experience. I know you can cut maple trees which give more experience per log but it takes longer to cut than willows so you actually make more experience per hour if you cut willows and as a result level up faster.

After you reach level 65 you can move on to cutting yew trees. This is where the money is. I can cut a thousand yews in a few hours and then sell them at the grand exchange for 350k gold or more depending on the demand at the time. Let me warn you yews are a slow process at first but stick with it. It will get better.

Become a Runescape Member is Three Easy Steps

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Uncategorized

Today, I will be telling you how to become a Runescape member for free in three easy steps. It really works and it’s 100% legal.

Step #1: Create a free Paypal account. Go to www.paypal.com. Why do you need this? That’s because Runescape uses Paypal as a payment option for becoming a member. How will you get the money for Paypal? Keep reading.

Step#2: You need free cash to put on your Paypal, right? Well there are 3 websites I use to get the cash I need.

Go on www.triond.com to make your free account. Now to make money on Triond, simply send Triond stories, pictures, and/or audio. Now remember, these things have to be created by you and it can’t be from someone else. Triond reviews the things you send to them and if they are really good, you actually get paid for it by the end of the month. Cool, huh? Also, FYI, make sure they pay you via Paypal or you won’t get the money for the stuff you worked hard for.

I also use www.associatedcontent.com to send stories, audio, and pictures for some extra cash to my Paypal. This website works just like Triond, but for this website, you have to send good facts and information. Triond just likes fun stories and things like that.

The last website I use is www.awsurveys.com and I love this website, but it’s super slow with payment. But they pay the most. The first time you start taking surveys for them, you get paid a total of 27 bucks! They pay 1-6 dollars on a survey! But here’s the catch. They provide like 5-6 surveys monthly and you can only send the money to your Paypal when you have at least 75 dollars. So if you can wait 3 or maybe 4 months, you can get a year of Runescape membership.

Step#3: When you have enough cash ($7.95 at least), get a Runescape membership! Just follow there instructions on the website and it works. I’ve been a Runescape member for 6 months now and I have enough money for 2 years of Runescape membership! By the end of my first month trying all of these websites, I got around 20 dollars. I got 30 the second month and by the end of the third month, I got $105 because of the AWsurveys (no kidding).
