Allow children to play Runescape?

Posted by: cow  //  Category: runescape

Runescape, a great game. Millions of people play every day and at the end of the day, everyone enjoys this. There are many arguments about how old you need to be to play Runescape, but all you need to play it is to know how to use a computer. When you start up on Runescape, there is much to do and if you don’t know how to do it, then Runescape NPC’s tell you how. There are only a few reason on why children shouldn’t go on Runescape and I’ll clear them up in this argument.

Firstly, people being rude on Runescape. If a child (say 8 years old for this case) went onto Runescape and saw someone swear on Runescape, it would be good for the child. This is because they don’t learn about any swear words because ALL swear words and any rude words are blocked with the * function. Also, this would be good because they learn about the world around them and how some people are not as nice as others and they will learn about who to make friends with and who not to. Also, children are honest to people. This means that if they see somebody bullying somebody else, they would report it instead of so called ‘cool’ people who find it better to join in. Therefore, in one sense, children would be making Runescape better for children to play on.

The next reason, violence and fighting. I would stop children going onto Runescape if there was blood and gore on the screen while fighting on Runescape, but there isn’t. All that happens when you fight is that you get a number on how many hit-points you took off your opponent. People may argue that because there is fighting in it, children shouldn’t be allowed to play it at all. One day though, they’re going to find out about fighting and what it’s all about. Why can’t it be the day when they go onto Runescape? If violence isn’t the child’s thing, then there is plenty of other things that he/she can do to entertain themselves. For example, the could go fishing or woodcutting. So why should they not be allowed onto the Runescape game?

Finally, children might not understand the concept about Runescape and what you’re meant to do on it. They might not really know what the point in an RPG game is but that doesn’t matter. If they don’t get what the point in Runescape (one of the best MMORPGs ever) then they’ll just stop playing.

In conclusion, I think that children should be allowed to go onto Runescape, but they should be at least into their first year in Primary School so they have friends already so they know which friends to make on Runescape and which people not to make friends with. Also, if they are this age, then they won’t release personal information about themselves.

THE Runescape Walkthrough / FAQ

Easy money
Go to Port Sarim, west of Draynor village, and ask one of the people in the blue uniforms to go to Karamja and pay them 30 GP. When you get there, walk off the dock and you should see a house. Enter the house and talk to a man named Luthas. He will ask you to pick bananas. Answer “Yes”, pick bananas, put them in the crate, then talk to Luthas to collect your moderately earned 30 GP. If you would like more money in multiples of 30, ask him to get another 30 GP for doing the job again. Stay here for a long time if you need to spend several thousand on items.

Go to Port Sarim and do the banana thing and put a bottle of rum in the crate then go in and collect your GP. Then go back outside and to Port Sarim get a white apron and go get a job in the grocery store at Sarim. Search the crate in the back and take the rum and some bananas. Then go to the bar in Sarim, give the drunk the rum and then, when you are done, go up to varrock or someplace and sell the bananas.

Get a Skillcape in Runescape Fast

Detailing how to get a skillcape in RuneScape fast.

Hello RuneScape people! You’re probably thinking… how do I get a skillcape really quickly and easily? Well, I have a way for you to do this without any cheating or hacks. There are two skillcapes that are done this way, and they cost primarily little for a mid lvl 60s person.

Skillcape of Cooking

Yes, this is the easiest one only needing 600K. First of all, you should get your cooking to 40 by cooking trouts, then salmon, then tuna. When it gets to 40, buy 73,000 buckets (575K). Fill all these buckets up with milk (the very long part), and then store them in the bank. Then, buy 73,000 pots (73K). Pick 73,000 pieces of grain and get pots of flour and store them in your bank. Now, go get 73,000 eggs and put those in your bank as well. Now buy 50 cake tins. You mix all the ingredients together (eggs, pots of flour, and milk) into the cake tin, then use it on a range (this will give you 180xp). Every time you finish an inventory, eat the cake (or else you would have to buy 73,000 cake tins). Repeat this 73,000 times. This will probably take you one and a half months, but if you stick to it, you will have a skillcape.

Skillcape of Firemaking

The instructions here are actually very simple. Go to the grand exchange and buy 144,000 willow logs (18gp each or 2.6mill total, then burn them. THAT’S IT!

Thieving Skill Guide

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Uncategorized

If you think fishing and runecrafting is boring, you obviously haven’t spent several hours thieving!

Seriously though, thieving isn’t as boring as you think it is. Plus of course, it’s an instant money making skill. You don’t have to spend money buying things you need just to level it. Unless of course you buy food, although I don’t recommend it. There’s an easier way…..keep reading!

To start, you will need to pickpocket the “Man”. Those are everywhere, so it’s not really a problem. In fact, I never paid for trips to and from Karamja when I needed to go there. I just pickpocketed the man around the docks for my trip money. See? Not boring at all, and something that can be worked on very slowly to start out with.

Farmers were next on the list of things I would pickpocket, usually when I was waiting for seeds in a near by farming patch. Farming proves to be a nice matching skill for Thieving. Especially when your level is higher and your seed rewards are better.

When I wasn’t stealing seeds from the local farmers, I was in Ardougne stealing cake from the stalls. This is not only nice experience (when standing out of the line of the guards), but good food to stash for when your thieving higher level people who hit harder. Keep a stash for later, or come back here for “thieving food”.

If you are interested in the H.A.M gear, I suggest going underground just behind the Lumbridge castle to pickpocket them at level 20. If you don’t really care, skip them and keep pickpocketing anything above until 27.

At 27 is when your pickpocketing skill start to pay off if you are a farmer. The Draynor Village seed stall is an easy walk from a near by vegetable farming patch, so you can swipe some more seeds to plant while waiting for others to grow. The selection of seeds you get isn’t too bad, but it does get better with master farmers at level 38. Don’t forget those cakes when you go to pickpocket him!

Why the Vagabonds of 9Dragons should remain Vagabonds

Posted by: runescape  //  Category: Beginners' Guide

For a while now (since the advance mastery and 2nd role change patch), there has been an increase in the number of 9Dragons players who want new skills and features for vagabonds because of the new gap in abilities created by the 2nd role change. A large number of these changes that players demand destroy the point of being a vagabond in the first place. Keep in mind that a vagabond is generally a wanderer, someone who does not stay in 1 place for long and is generally unassociated with the powers that be in the area. This entry is the reasons why vagabonds should remain true to themselves as vagabonds. For now, the following are the ones that I can think of.

1) Vagabonds are vagabonds because they are unorganized

I cannot stress this fact enough. The reason that vagabonds are vagabonds are because they are unorganized. The moment they start organizing themselves in any way outside of a party for a specific purpose, it forms into something that is pretty much a clan. Even a party would be considered to be pushing it. The only one that would make any sense is a small group formed for the sole purpose of completing a single task in the short term. If this becomes long term, it would violate everything that makes vagabonds who they are. When a large number of vagabonds organize themselves together, it is one of several 9 dragons gold things. The first is an uprising or rebellion. A large number of unassociated people organize for defense, strikes, protests, or an all out upsurption of power. The second is the formation of a new organization. The new organization would basically be a clan in this case. Forming a clan is a bit ridiculous considering that vagabonds here have no prior training, no prior experience, and have little to no influence. The moment they organize, no matter how small it is, makes them no longer vagabonds.

2) No acquisition of new skills without proper training

The second thing that a lot of vagabond players want is the acquisition of new skills. Normally this is acquired from experienced clan teachers (NPCs) who teach you the skills of your corresponding class after you have had enough experience (levels) and a corrensponding chi alignment (class change) to learn those skills. Chi alignment was developed either naturally through years of meditation and practice or forcefully by outside energy directed into the 9dragons gold person’s body. The second method was done by a mentor or someone trusted and much more experienced. A vagabond lacks a proper teacher and the chi alignment. Granted the fact that there are powerful vagabonds in populat culture such as Huo Yun Jia (Fearless) and Wong Fei Hung (Drunken Master). The fault is that both of these people have had prior training. Huo Yun Jia observed his father teach his students for his entire childhood and practiced it himself secretly in his spare time for years. Wong Fei Hung was taught the drunken boxing style by his uncle. The point here is that even though both of them became vagabonds eventually, they had prior training by experienced masters. Granted a vagabond could eventually figure out new skills and abilities through extended usage alone, but chances are if they started from scratch, they would not have developed this in one lifetime. An example of this is Jeet Kune Do, one of the few practical fighting styles. It took a very experienced martial artist over a decade of hard work to create a simple effective fighting style. There are ideas where enemies drop tomes to teach vagabond new skills when combined with certain items. Here lies the problem, how can a book exist to teach someone a skill or ability that does not exist to begin with? How is that even possible?

3) The vagabond is not a dragon

As much as people argue that “The Vagabond” is a dragon. He fails to meet the requirements to be a dragon. First off, he is from a foreign land and does not associate with any of the clans. The other 9dragons gold are all highly ranked in their respective clans and were chosen to represent their clan or forced to represent their clan. By using this condition, he fails to meet the requirement to be one of the 9dragons gold. Second, “The Vagabond” did not partcipate in the duel of the nine 9dragons gold. As much as there is argument for it, he could not have been a part of it because he had no clan to represent. The tablet was also broken into nine pieces, one for each clan and although the Thunder Emperor did not participate, the Black 9 Dragons Gold is still one of the clans and none of the official story contributes to the fact that “The Vagabond” actually participated in the duel. As mentioned in the story, there were NINE pieces of the tablet (”The Vagabond” would have been the tenth), the EIGHT 9 Dragons Gold (not 9, the 9th would have been the Thunder Emperor but he did not show up) drank the elixir, the EIGHT 9Dragons Gold entered the field, and the EIGHT Dragons participated in the duel. Should “The Vagabond” have participated, there should be NINE Dragons stepping foward, NINE 9 Dragons Gold drinking the elixir, and TEN pieces of the tablet. The point of the duel was to shut the doors to disciples for the clans that lost so that one clan would remain superior and defeat the other ones who were not allowed to recruit new disciples through numbers.

A Myth or Reality of Runescape

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Tips

Recently, armies of individuals have thought that they can “Cheat” Runescape to gain unfair advantages over other gamers who use the game. While there are disputes about what the term “Cheating” means, corresponding to TheFreeDictionary(.com), it means ” To act deceitfully; employ fraud.” So, how would this rank against the bulk of players thoughts on cheating?
The virtually commons case of cheating on Runescape is scamming; this is when a player makes an unfair trade with another, for good takes away an item which they offered to repay or not paying a person for a function that they have complete for them. Scamming is a momentous problem in Runescape as even with the extensive event amount of fool proof methods to end best-known scamming ways, there is always alternative way to get about them thanks to the devilish brains of role players, where word of mouth locomotes as speedy as a bullet.

Jagex, the society who have compiled Runescape has largely advertized that they will not support scamming in any way and those who wish to do so will be cast out from the game for good. However, this does make one wonder, whilst Runescape accepted over 100,000 scamming reports last year, only 9,284 hackers were banished (A individual source call). Why do they only caution people when 99% of those infracted redo their crime and are resultingly shunned.

How to make money in the wilderness

Posted by: cool  //  Category: Beginners' Guide

Earning Gold Points in the Wilderness:
The wilderness, also called the wild, in the game Runescape, might not be the safest place to be, but is a great place to earn easy gold points. Just so that you know, you will not always make gold points in the wild but when you do, it will usually be big a amount, if you use this guide wisely and accurately, or a small amount when you initially start doing this.

This guide will help you by showing you a few possible ways that can help you earn gold points in the wild and once you master these tips, you can be sure that you will do well and start making gold points in the wild. It won’t be easy on the first try, but you will eventually become better, because it’s not very difficult. Also, this guide will be talking about the Varrock wilderness, so please do not get the other wilds mixed up.

You should be in a world, which has a lot of members in it. It doesn’t have to be a crowded world but it should have a good amount of members in there. The more members that are in the world, the greater your chances of more people actually going to be at the wild, and the more you will possibly earn. When entering the wild, you should look and see what kind of people are in there so that you get familiar the type of members and levels that are around you. This will help you to be cautious, that they just do not come up and kill you without you knowing that they were there. Each tip which will be listed below will have a few things that you must watch out for, when entering the wild or while being in the wild.

Picking Up Items:
This is the main way and the easiest way to earn but it’s not always going to be the best way to earn a lot of gold points quickly. You have to be aware that these items that are usually on the ground are not always worth a lot. You should always pick up all the items that you believe are worthy to sell and all arrows that you see. The better the arrows, the more value they are. For example, if you find three Mithril arrows on the floor, you can get around 120 GP for these arrows. This is not a lot, but if you stay in the wild for about thirty minutes, then you will be able to pick up many arrows in the crowded wild and earn a lot more than that. Once done, the best place is to go to the Archery shop and sell all the arrows you’ve collected and to the general store to sell all the other items. If you find any expensive items in the wild, then you should not sell these in the general store. You can lose a good amount of gold points if you do. Instead, I would recommend you to sell your items to other members for the full value, that way you do not end up losing much. Make sure to look for anyone around the same level as you, so that they do not run up and attack you and do not go too far in the wild. Usually the front entrance is the best place to find a lot of people standing together, and you can find a lot of arrows there.

Attacking Members:
This is usually the main reason why anyone would go to the wild, but it’s also a great opportunity to earn some good amount of gold points, because if you end up killing your opponent, then you can get everything that they are wielding and carrying around, except for three random items that they get to keep. Obviously you do not want to have a 50/50 chance of winning or losing against your opponent when at the wild, so the best thing you would have to do is ensure that your mage level is high enough to be able to teleport to Varrock first and then bring in enough runes to teleport, just in case you need them. If you find that you are about to die in the wild and you are really far away, and that you have no chance of running away, then you would use teleportation to teleport to Varrock, because this is the closest place that you can teleport, that’s next to the wild. This would guarantee you that you go into the wild and come out safely, but you must take some precautions because it’s not always easy to spot when you are getting attacked, when you are in a crowded area, especially in the wild. To summarize all this, bring enough runes to teleport and enough food but do not fill up your inventory. Not filling up your inventory, will help you to pick up many items that you find on the ground and also pick up items that you have won from fighting other members.

These two tips will help you earn a good amount of Runescape gold points in the wild. It has been proven by many members and also myself, that you can get a lot of gold points by doing this. I’ve earned tons of gold points and even rune armour too! Yes, the rune armour is one of the best armour that you can wear and you can sell it for a lot. One of the rune items that I had got in the wild is a rune scimitar, which I had sold for 25,000 gold! That’s a lot of gold points just for staying in the wild for a little while. Once you have your inventory full, simply take all the items to the bank or the stores, to go sell all of the items and get all your gold points that you’ve earned!

Top ways to Improve Slayer skills

Posted by: cool  //  Category: Uncategorized

Slayer skills are extremely important to utilize in Runescape, especially if you are a member. Since you are paying for access to this benefit, why not make the most of it? The Slayer skill, in essence, allows one to kill monsters and other creatures that are extremely difficult, or otherwise impossible to kill without access to the skill.

First, make sure to find the slayer master. Click the Key button in your control panel. Then, navigate to the page that says Slayer Master. Here is a screenshot of this page.

After you get a slayer master, you’ll find out the tasks that you need to complete. To make efficient use of your time, if the slayer master offers you an optional sword or weapon to kill the monster with, buy it. Buying this weapon will decrease the time that it takes to kill the monster and it may also generate you bonus points and rewards. (By the way, make sure that you are on a member’s world during the slaying and receiving of tasks, because it won’t generate you EXP if you do this on a public world.) Also, make sure that you’ve been ASSIGNED to the monster by a slayer master to kill the monster. If you haven’t been assigned, you’ll only gain the items that the monster has. But you’ll gain Slayer experience and the items when you’ve been assigned to a slayer by a slayer master.

Often, people go straight to the Slayer Master, Turael. You’ve probably seen him around in Burthorpe. Stay clear of him because usually, the tasks that he will give you are simple and generate a small amount of EXP.

To get the most EXP, make sure that you are the only slayer that is attacking the monster. If someone else goes for the monster, even if it is almost dead, the Slayer experience points will be halved for you. They will be evenly split between you and the other person. On the flip side, if you see a monster that’s almost dead, even if someone else has got it, try attacking it so that you get some easy EXP. This works especially well when the other slayer is at a low level, because you don’t have to be afraid of heavy retaliation. Also, weaker players may not be able to finish the monster off, but they will weaken it for you so that killing it for you is a walk in the park. Lastly, weaker players take a longer time to kill off the monsters, as they do less damage for each hit or attack that they make. You can easily take advantage of this slow speed by helping them out and finishing the monster off.

As a general tip, if your slayer master gives you easy tasks that donâ’t generate enough EXP, just get them over with quickly. For example, if the Slayer Master that you are working with tells you to kill a bird, just find a chicken and kill it. It counts as a bird, of course. While you may not get the same benefits, you’ll more than make up for it in time saved.
