Crandor and Karamja Dungeon

Posted by: runescape  //  Category: Beginners' Guide

Though Crandor and Karamja are quite separate islands with very different appearances, they both lie on the same geological faultline that created the Karamja Volcano. Because of this, there is a tunnel between the two islands that goes beneath the sea and connects the peak of Crandor Island to the top of Karamja Volcano.

Like most underground warrens, the nastier beasts of RuneScape are naturally attracted to it, and the mighty dragon Elvarg has even deigned to establish her home there.

Location

Location of the dungeons

Crandor and Karamja Dungeon can be entered both on the top of Crandor and the top of Karamja Volcano.

To the west of the Karamja Volcano entrance is the piratical town of Brimhaven.

Points of Interest

Interesting areas of the dungeon

The most obvious feature of Crandor and Karamja Dungeon is the entrance to the TzHaar city (members only), which is located close to the rope that leads to Karamja.

There is a gold mine, protected only by skeletons and giant bats, which is useful for gathering that valuable ore.

Elvarg鈥檚 den is in the northern part of the dungeon, but only those sent to battle her in the Dragon Slayer quest may enter her domain. The door that splits the two halves of the dungeon can only be used once you have progressed far enough through this quest to need it.

Personalities

Elvarg
Elvarg is a mighty beast and bane of many, especially Oziach of Edgeville. Though some adventurers may go on to fight more powerful and more terrifying beasts, Elvarg is the only dragon that non-members will have the opportunity to fight. She is old beyond reckoning and has caused a great deal of devastation in this life time.
Elvarg can be found stalking her lair in the northern part of the dungeon.
Quests

There are no quests to start in Crandor and Karamja Dungeon.

Denizens of the Dungeon

Skeleton (Level 22/25)
Skeletons may look harmless and weak, but their lack of muscle is more than made up for by the potent magic that holds them together. If you choose to fight skeletons, you may notice the skeleton鈥檚 bones will give way when crushing attacks are used.
Giant Bat (Level 27)
Bats are nocturnal creatures that rely on their sense of hearing to find their prey. For this reason they tend to prefer living in caves, where they can hear echoes of footsteps and their own cries to pinpoint precisely where their prey is. Their wings are their weakness, and arrows are excellent at puncturing them.
Skeletons are found at the two entrances to Crandor and Karamja Dungeon. Giant bats can be found in the south of the dungeon.
Deadly Red Spider (Level 34)
Tougher than the giant spiders by far, deadly red spiders haven鈥檛 earned their name letting adventurers walk by: they will give you a tough fight if you are unprepared. They sometimes leave their eggs out in the open though, and they are a prized ingredient in restore potions.
Giant Skeleton (Level 45)
Giant skeletons are a true menace of the Crandor and Karamja Dungeon, and guard the entrance to Elvarg鈥檚 lair. They are intimidating enemies that tower over you with their massive scimitars at the ready. They are prone to the same weaknesses as normal skeletons, though, which cunning adventurers will use to their advantage.
Deadly red spiders can be found in the southern half of the dungeon. Giant skeletons can be found outside Elvarg鈥檚 den.

Saradomin’s Encampment

Posted by: amber  //  Category: monster hunting, runescape hunting guide

Introduction
Please refer to the general God Wars guide for the basic mechanics of God Wars Dungeon. The Leader of Saradomin’s force, Commander Zilyana, although the second lowest levelled of the God Wars bosses and the smallest physically, is widely considered by players to be the deadliest. Her max hit is the lowest of any of the bosses as well, a mere 310 with either melee or magic. However, her attacks are much faster than the other bosses and she can “charge” up her attacks so that several can hit at once. Her attacks are also very accurate. Prized drops from Commander Zilyana and her minions include Saradomin’s Godsword hilt, Godsword shards, and the Saradomin Sword. To enter Saradomin’s Encampment you will need Level 70 Agility and two pieces of rope (only the first time you go, so it is recommended to make a trip specifically to place these). There are many items which will render Saradomin’s minions outside the boss room unaggressive: these include Saradomin blessed Treasure Trails armour, a Saradomin god cape, holy symbol, and many others. If using the Trollheim teleport to arrive at the dungeon, use this strategy to keep a full inventory: Teleport to Trollheim, drop 2 food items, teleport back to a bank, get 2 more of the items dropped, and then teleport back to Trollheim. You should now have a full inventory.

Strategy
A player cannot stand before either Zilyana’s melee and magic. Since the magic is long-ranged, there is no way to escape it without praying protection from it, and the only way to avoid melee while praying magic is to be outside of melee range. The method to use is made clear once you consider that Zilyana is tiny physically compared to the other monstrous bosses, and that the Saradomin boss room is larger than the others. The best way to fight is by ranging. Using melee is risky and you will take much more damage, especially in smaller teams. Your team should spread out as much as they can and range Zilyana. If she comes toward you trying to melee, run away in the opposite direction, and if she continues to follow, run around, hugging the walls. You may have to run around the room several times. If possible, take a few shots at each corner, but don’t let her catch up to you! You MUST bring a form of energy restoration: your two choices are Purple Sweets from Treasure Trails, or the much better choice of using a Spirit Terrorbird familiar with scrolls. Sweets can get very expensive: it’s very possible to chew through over a hundred per trip. If you fight Zilyana properly, you should only take damage from ranged, so you should try to emphasize that defence stat, while keeping a good ranged attack bonus. After killing Zilyana, every minion will focus on one player. This player should run to the very south wall, causing Bree to refocus on another player, who should pray range. Meanwhile, the rest of the team should run to the North Wall, and kill Bree, then Starlight, and finally Growler.

You will need a Zamorak and Saradomin item for killcount. The best spot to get killcount is by killing any Saradomin follower, such as Mages, Warriors, Priests, etc in the main area near the entrance. Many of these will be in combat, making them easy to kill without taking damage or needing to pray. You can also get killcount in the Encampment, but there are fewer monsters available.

Recommended Levels:

80 ranged
75+ defence
52 summoning
60 prayer (70 strongly recommended)
70 agility (required)
Keep in mind that these are suggested minimum levels. You can kill Commander Zilyana with lower levels, but you will perform much better with higher levels, and it is also much easier to find a group with higher stats. In a larger group, you can get away with lower stats. Having 70 prayer to bless teammates graves, as well as for piety, is highly recommended. Having 52 summoning for a spirit terrorbird to carry extra supplies and to recover run energy is virtually mandatory, without one you will incur large expenses on Purple Sweets. Your familiar will follow you to the other side of the rope. Zilyana’s melee attacks are very damaging, and overall, you can get more kills ranging with less risk. Therefore, ranging Zilyana is recommended. Maging is ineffective against all God Wars Dungeon bosses. A Zamorak Godsword’s special is very helpful in order to freeze Zilyana temporarily.

Equipment
Recommended equipment:
Note: Items are listed from the best to the worst

Weapon: Rune Crossbow
Helmet: Verac’s Helm > Torag’s Helm
Amulet: Fury > Glory > Zamorak/Saradomin Stole* >Holy/Unholy Symbol*
Body: Armadyl Chestplate > Zamorak/Saradomin Blessed Dragonhide*
Legs:Verac’s Plateskirt > Torag’s Platelegs
Shield: Dragonfire Shield > Full Crystal Shield > Dragon Sq Shield
Cape: Ava’s accumulator
Boots: Ranger > Snakeskin
Gloves: Barrows Gloves > God Blessed Bracers*

*Note: Starred items are Zamorak/Saradomin items that will protect you from his minions outside the boss room. Having one of each is NECESSARY.

Recommended Inventory
Terrorbird Scrolls(at least 100)
Teleport
11 Super Restores
13 Saradomin Brews
Two Ranging Potions

Summon a Terrorbird before leaving. Your terrorbird should hold:

Three Terrorbird Pouches
Four Super Restores
Five Saradomin Brews

Solo
Soloing Saradomin has both drawbacks and benefits over teams. It’s much easier to start a trip, and you get to keep all your drops yourself, although your trips are much shorter, and usually more expensive. There are also higher requirements, as well as being more dangerous as you cannot rely upon your team to bless your grave.

90 ranged
90 defence
52 summoning
70 prayer
70 agility (required)
The strategy is somewhat similar to being in a team, but certain aspects are different. Since Zilyana will ALWAYS be focused on you, you must be constantly running: she cannot be allowed to melee you! You will still range her while praying magic. As soon as you enter, start running around the edges of the room. At each corner, you should be able to take one or two shots. Using the accurate style is recommended, as the timing is better and you get more accuracy on your few available shots. You should still use enchanted diamond bolts. A Zamorak Godsword’s special is still very helpful. The recommended equipment is the same.

Lootshare
While fighting as a team in this multicombat area, use the LootShare chat system to ensure honest reporting of monster drops. Not only will this system report your team’s drops for everybody within the chat (with at least the minimum set rank), but will also increase each individual’s chances of getting drops, as opposed to drops being limited to only one or a few individuals who consistently do the most damage.

To have a chance at the drops from the LootShare system, you must be within 16 squares of the killed monster, also make sure that your rank is set high enough to have a chance for team drops if you are in a team using LootShare.

If the Clan Chat owner has the Coinshare option enabled, all those entitled to recieve lootshare drops will have it activated. Coinshare is only applied to certain drops. The drop will be converted to coins and all lootshare members will receive an equal split if Commander Zilyana or any of her minions drop any of these items:

Godsword shard 1, 2, or 3
Saradomin Sword
Saradomin Hilt
Dragon Med Helm
Dragon Spear
Shield Left Half (dragon)
Please refer to our New Members P2P guide for a listing of all worlds the Lootshare system is enabled upon. Note that worlds can change frequently and Jagex’s world select page should be your point of reference for Lootshare worlds.

Conclusion
Both in a team and alone, you can usually obtain more kills per trip than Armadyl, the other boss requiring ranging, because if done properly you will suffer much less damage. That said, killing Zilyana is different than most other Runescape bosses, and is often considered more difficult to learn. The drops from Saradomin Godwars are also highly valued by players. This boss has the highest requirements to team out of all God Wars bosses, but can be performed solo at lower levels than Armadyl. Kill count will usually take longer than the other bosses. Please note that this is an introduction for newcomers: this is just one of the multitude of strategies applicable in God Wars. Good Luck!

Runescape WATERFALL QUEST STRATEGY

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Quests

Starting location: House north-east of Baxtorian Falls, speak with Almera.
Quest difficulty level: Medium.
Reward: Around 14,400 attack exp, 17,200 strength exp, 2 gold bars, 2 cut diamonds and 40 mith seeds.
Quest points gained: 1.
Required Skills: Be able to fight level 86 fire giants.
Required Items: Six of air, earth and water runes. Also need a few ropes. You can get ropes from Ned in Draynor Village, or from Arheln at his boat in Catherbury.
Monsters: Shadow spiders (level 52), Fire giants (level 86)
NPC: Almera (House north-east of Baxtorian Falls), Hudan (Western side of the river), Hadley (House south-east of Baxtorian Falls).

WATERFALL QUEST WALKTHROUGH
After talking to Almera, head around to the back of her house and board the raft there. It will take you towards the waterfall, but crash half way there. You should now see a little boy named Hudan. Talk with him, use your rope on the rock on the next island downstream which has the option “Swim to”. After that, use your rope on the dead tree on the island and you should end up at the door to the waterfall. Don鈥檛 enter it yet or you will take damage.
Jump in the barrel and you will be taken off the waterfall. Enter the house just north of where the barrel took you and talk with Hadley. After that go upstairs and search the bookcase to find the book named “Book on Baxtorian”. Read it and talk with Hadley again. After that you will have to go to the gnome maze and down the ladder just before the entrance to the Gnome Village. Go to the east and you will find a lot of crates and boxes, search them and you will find a key.
*X* When you have the key, go west and open the jail door. Inside you will find a little gnome, talk with him and he will drop a lot of junk. You will search it and find a pebble, ask if you can keep it. Now bank all of your armour and weapons and go back to Hadley’s house, go up to the grave a little north-east of there. Use the pebble on the tombstone and you will be taken down into the tomb. Go west and open the chest there, search it and you will find Glarials Amulet.
Note: You will not be able to enter the tomb if you have any armour or weapons on you.
Now take the southern path and search the tomb there. You will find an urn, exit the tomb again and go to the bank. Get out the runes, rope and whatever you will need to fight level 93 fire giants etc (keep the urn and amulet), and head back to the waterfall. Once again board the raft and use your rope on the rock, then your rope on the dead tree. But this time, wear the amulet and enter the waterfall. There will be 3 paths, one going east, one directly north and one west.
Note: Shadow Spiders drain half your prayer points.
Firstly go east and you will end up in a room with a lot of crates. Search them and you will find a key. Now go to the western path and enter the room with Fire Giants, go all the way north and use your key on the door to open it, now pick up the key on the floor and go through the next door. You will now be in a room with 6 pillars, use one air, one water and one earth rune on each of them, and then use your amulet on the Statue of Glarial. Use your urn with the Chalice and you will have completed the quest.

Runescape TEARS OF GUTHIX QUEST STRATEGY

Quest difficulty level: Easy.
Reward: 1,000 crafting xp and the ability to use the Tears of Guthix mini game.
Quest points gained: 1.

Talk to Juna who will tell you stories about Guthix and of the weeping rocks. She tells you to make a stone bowl made out of magic stone to hold the tears of Guthix in. You can mine the stone on the other side of the cavern. To get to the other side extinguish your lantern and use a cut sapphire with it, then relight it. Use your sapphire lantern on one of the nearby light creatures near the entrance to the cavern and go back up the rocks you climbed down. The magical lights will carry you over the chasm to the other side where you can mine the rocks for the magic stone. Use the chisel on the stone to make the stone bowl.
Go back and talk to Juna. This completes the quest.

Runescape SHILO VILLAGE QUEST STRATEGY

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Quests

Starting location: To start the quest go to the far south end of Karamaja. You will have to fight your way through jungle spiders, jogres, snakes and monkeys! Cross the slippery log and the stepping stones. Talk to Mosol Rei. He will say Rashiliyia, the queen of the dead, has returned.
Quest difficulty level: Hard.
Reward: 3,915 Crafting exp.
Quest points gained: 2.
Required Skills: Level 32 agility, level 20 crafting and must have completed jungle potion quest.
Introduction: This quest has lots of bad things that seem to want you dead… so I would strongly recommend you bring armour and food. Also bring a spade (which can be found in Draynor Mansion) bring a rope and a lit candle or torch (you can buy these at the general store by Trufitus).

Trufitus: Go to Trufitus with the wampum belt that Mosol rei gave you then tell him that you’ll help find the temple.
The temple: Go to the east side of the island and walk south along the coast till you find a log. Cross it and continue southward. To the west you should see a collection of rocks and a mound of earth. Dig there with your spade. You’ll discover a fissure. Use your candle on the fissure (it will burn out) then use the rope on it and climb down. Work your way past a few undead ones till you see a “cave in”. Search it then wiggle into it. Search the ‘loose rocks’ at the first corner and you will get a scroll. Now go down further and you will find some sacks. Search these and get another scroll. Right at the end of the tunnel you find some gallows, search it and you receive some remains. There are two ways to get out, either go back to where the broken table is and make a raft from it or go to the end of the path and click on the rocks. Now go back to Trufitus.
Trufitus: Use the scrolls and remains on him. Then read the scrolls yourself. Now go to the statue near Trufitus hut and bury the remains. A ghost will pop up - listen to him and he will give you a bone shard. Go back and tell Trufitus that you buried the remains, he will then tell you about a tomb you have to find.
Tomb of Bervirius: Trufitus will tell you about a tomb that lies south west of his hut. Go there. You’ll have to climb up a rock cliff and cross a rope bridge to get to an island. Go down the side and search the rocks. Once you’ve climbed in go to the back of the room and search the table. Here you will find the hilt to a sword and a locating crystal. Search it again to find a blue scroll. Climb the rocks and return to Trufitus. Use the items you have found on him and he’ll tell you to make a bronze necklace.
Necklace: To make the necklace go to the general store north of the anvil and buy a chisel, bronze bar, hammer. Use chisel on the pummbel to get beads. Use the bronze bar on the anvil and make bronze wire. Use the beads with the wire to make beads of the dead.
Tomb of Rashillya: Go across the slippery log once more. Once you get off the log go north, there you will fine some bright palm trees, search them to find a doorway (make sure you are wearing the beads of the dead) once you reveal the doors you need to use the bone shard on them… it will say it does not fit, now you can use your chisel on the bone shard to get the bone key. Use the key on the door and enter (make sure you have armour and food) go through the gate and climb down the rocks. Get ready to run… keep going west until you find tomb doors. Kill a few zombies and skeletons to get 3 bones. Use them all on the door then open it. Be prepared to fight a level 91, 68 and 93. Look at the tomb dolmen and the ground will shake. You have to fight 3 consecutive battles. After you defeat them all Rashillya’s bones will appear on the table. Take them.
Quest completion: Take the remains to Trufitus and he tells you to look over your artefacts. Take the remains to the tomb of Bervirius and set Rashillya’s bones on the tomb dolmen.

Runescape MOURNING’S ENDS PART 2 QUEST STRATEGY GUIDE

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Quests

Starting location: Arianwyn in Lleyta.
Quest difficulty level: Hard.
Reward: 20k Agility XP, Access to Death Altar.
Quest points gained: 2.
Required Skills: High Agility (around 70 should do).
Required Quests: Mournings Ends - Part 1.
Required Items: Rope, Chisel, Mourners Outfit, Death Talisman or items listed in final stage of guide.
NPC: Arianwyn, Head Mourner, Eluned, Thorgel.

MOURNING’S ENDS PART 2 QUEST WALKTHROUGH
First of all, Arianwyn tells you to investigate the excavation. Put on your mourners outfit and head to Mourners Headquarters in West Ardougne. You will find the HQ in the most Northeastern building. If you do not have your mourners outfit from Mournings Ends Part 1, get another by killing a level 11 mourner on the way to West Ardougne. When you get to Mourners HQ, speak with the Head Mourner in the basement and you will receive a new key. Use your new key to enter the tunnels beyond the locked door. Here you need to head directly west, then take the southern path. After a cut-scene search a nearby guard to get his journal and a colour wheel. The colour wheel can be useful later on. Now head back to Arianwyn. Speak with Arianwyn then go back to the temple. You need to go inside the front door now. Be careful of the shadow creatures. Climb the stairs directly in front of the door. Once up the stairs move to the east of them to find the collection point. Pull the lever and collect everything. Go back to the stairs. From here you need to head south one pillar, then west followed by south to find some stairs within the wall. Climb up the stairs. Once up them you should see some stairs to the north on your minimap. Head to these and go down.
This is a good place for taking a break when doing the puzzle as it is safe, but now you head up the north stairs. From here go as far to the east as you can and you should find the black crystal just to your south. Use your chisel on it to take a sample. Head back to Arianwyn again. Arianwyn should get Eluned to make a new crystal for you and tell you what to do with it. Bank it for now and get out the mirrors and yellow crystal from the temple. Now is when the puzzle begins. You need to head back to the temple and up the first stairs. To the east of these by the collector is a light pillar with a beam of light in it. Insert a mirror and rotate to send the beam north. Move north to the pillar and using a mirror to send the beam to the west. Here direct the beam south. Follow the beam south placing your yellow crystal and then a mirror to send your yellow beam east. You will now be able to climb across the handholds (failing sends you to the first floor and deals 5 damage) to reach a newly opened blue door. Search the chest within for more mirrors and a cyan crystal. Work your way back to where you turned the beam south. Collect your pieces as you go. At the pillar where the beam turns south, put in the cyan crystal. Follow the beam west, turn it north with a mirror, before continuing to turn it back east. Follow the beam along towards the door and you will come across a pillar. Put your yellow crystal in here. This opens the pink door, where you once again open the chest for more mirrors. This is a good time to restock your food and stuff. Collect a rope as you will need it for the next part. Using the collector get all your mirrors and crystals back. Then you need to setup the following pattern, always following the beam: North, West, Cyan Crystal, North, East. The next pillar along this corridor also needs a mirror, but it must point the light upwards. To achieve this the mirror needs to have its base where the light enters and top on the opposite side. In this case west and east. Light travelling up can be noted by a beam above the pillar. Using the ladder beside this pillar, head up one floor. Use a mirror on the pillar to send the beam west. The beam will pass through a pillar you cannot reach, this pillar has the useful effect of turning cyan to blue and yellow to red, which you will be using later. Head back down the ladder and head south to reach the other stairs to the top floor. Once here cross to the north side using the double stairs, then head directly east through a narrow grey passage. Once through head north to find your now blue light beam. From here we want to send our light down. to do this arrange the mirror so its top is by the east and base is by the west markers. Go all the way down to the first floor and make your way to the north west corner again. Your beam should have opened a yellow door for you. Go through and rotate the fixed mirror to hit the other door. Raid the chest in here, then rotating the mirror again, escape. Leaving everything the same as the set up for the third door, head back to your cyan crystal on the second floor and replace it with the yellow crystal. Go back to the north west corner of the upper floor. This time reflect your now red light to head south. Follow it all the way to the south west corner and direct it downwards by aligning the mirror top to north and bottom to south. Once you have done this, head down one floor using the stairs. Directly west of the stairs you should find a low wall. Climb over it. In this room you use your rope on the rocks by the hole in the floor so that you can climb down. Go through the now open cyan door to raid the chest. You should now have 10 mirrors, a fractured crystal, and cyan, yellow and blue crystals. Now is a good time to restock food. This is where it gets a bit more complicated, so make sure you know how to arrange mirrors to send light up and down: Firstly set up your crystals to once more open the first blue door, this time place the blue crystal inside this room. Don’t pull the lever after doing this step. Head back to the pillar north and west from the lever. Collect all your mirrors and your yellow crystal along the way. Direct your beam upwards. Move up via the stairs to reach your beam and send it south. This beam will travel a long distance to a pillar on the other side of the double steps. Here you place your fractured crystal. Note that the smooth side faces north, this is vital later on. Now you should have multiple light beams. Firstly head south and reflect the light east to the corner, then send it down. Go back to your light split. This time follow it west and once again send the beam down. Move down two floors and find this second beam, which, die to a special pillar should be green. Using your mirrors reflect this south then east to open the door. Inside this room you should have your blue beam. rotate the fixed mirror so it hits the yellow door and collect your last mirrors and second fractured crystal from the chest. Now the final pillar. This pillar requires beams of certain colours to hit it from certain sides and will put to use all you have learnt. For it to open you need a blue beam from the north, a red beam from the west and a green beam from the south. Start back at the collector after using it to get all your crystals and send the beam north as normal. Send the beam down. Find the beam downstairs and send it west, this is where it gets tricky. Place your newest fractured crystal in the pillar, the smooth side should face east. If you do not get four beams, it is the wrong one so switch it. Once you have this you need to move around the inaccessible room to reach your north beam and reflect it up. On the second floor you need to place the yellow crystal into this beam, then using the ladder head to the third floor. Here send the beam west through the colour changing pillar, to make our red beam. Now, you need to reach the northwest corner again, using the same route as before, to find your red beam. From the corner you have to send it south, then halfway along send it east using the pillar there. A fixed mirror to the east reflects it down for you. That is your first beam completed. Head back to where you split the light and follow the south beam. At the four-way pillar place your other fractured crystal. To both the east and west of here you need to reflect your light upwards. This should give you a plain and a green beam, thanks to the second floor pillar, on the third floor. Head up to the third floor again, find the most western of your two beams, which should be green. This beam will not appear from the top of its pillar as it cannot go further up, but is the pillar west of the double stairs. Reflect this beam west. Fixed mirrors again send this to the final pillar for you, so two beams down, one to go. Go east to find your other beam, which should be to the far east of the same row. Send the beam west, then north and cross over using the double steps. On this side, use your last mirror to reflect it west again, but follow the beam to find a pillar that it passes through to the west and place the blue crystal in it. Once again fixed mirrors do the rest. Move to the space between the double stairs and take the steps down to the west. The cyan door here is now open, thanks to your red beam, step through and rotate the mirror in the pillar nearby to send the beam west. This completes the final pillar, opening the door to the altar. Follow the beam west and step through the triple door to view a short cut-scene with Thorgel the dwarf. He will give you a list of 50 items to acquire in exchange for a death talisman, should you not already have one. Once here you also receive a shortcut, a tunnel behind the altar slab leads to the dwarf within the underground pass which can be used as a shortcut to the Lleyta bank.

Runescape MOUNTAIN DAUGHTER QUEST STRATEGY

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Quests

Starting location: The mountain camp east of Rellekka.
Quest difficulty level: Easy.
Reward: 1000 attack experience, 2000 prayer experience.
Quest points gained: 2.
Required Skills: Must be able to defeat a level 70.
Required Items: Rope, plank, gloves, pickaxe, weapons, armour, food, hatchet.
Required Monsters: Kendal level 70.
NPC: Hamal the chieftain, Jokul, Ragnar, Svidi, Brundt the chieftain.

THE START
Items for this part: Rope
Description: Talk to the chieftain of the mountain camp. To reach him you will need to go east from Rellekka until you find a swaying tree. Go to the north-east to find a path into the mountains. Here you will find some rocks, if you attempt to climb over the guard will stop you. Take the small path north of him, leading to a boulder with a push option. Pushing it is useless but if you go and stand south of it and use your rope on it, you will go down to the path behind the guard. Walk further east to find the mountain camp. Talk to Hamal the chieftain at the quest point to start the quest. He will tell you his daughter went missing. It鈥檚 your job to find her. Enter some tents and you will be able to pass the guard at the entrance without using your rope. You will find this useful later in the quest.

THE DAUGHTERS SPIRIT
Items for this part: plank.
Description: To the south of the chieftain’s tent you will find some mud. Take it with your bare hands. Go to the tent north of the chieftain and take a pole from the garden with the goats. Follow the path to the north until you find Ragnar. He will tell you about going to marry the daughter you seek and that he has heard her voice from the lake. Next to him is a slippery tree. Use the mud with this tree. You can now climb the tree. On the next island, use your pole with the stones in the middle to reach the second island. On this island, use a plank with the flat stones to build a bridge. You can now listen to the shining pool. When doing so you will hear the daughter speak to you. She will tell you she is dead but will ask you for two favours.

THE DAUGHTERS TASKS
Items for this part: Pickaxe, gloves, plank.
Description: Your first task is to make peace with Rellekka. Talk to the chieftain about this. Go outside the camp, back to the swaying tree. Go north and search for Svidi between the black unicorn loan. He is still in the green tree part of the forest. Talk to him and he will ask you for a safety guarantee. Go to Rellekka and talk to Brundt the chieftain to tell him about the messenger. He will tell you to get an ancient rock. This can be found back in the mountain camp, in the southern hut. Use your pickaxe with it to cut off a part of it. Go back to Brundt and show it to him, you will get the safe passage guarantee. Show this to Svidi and your done.
The second task is to supply the camp with food. Talk to Jokul, the goat keeper, about this. He will tell you about white pearl which can grow even on snowy mountains. Go to the white wolf mountain gnome glider and pick a piece of fruit while wearing your gloves. Eat the fruit to get the seed. Take the seed back to the mountain camp chieftain. Talk to him about both Rellekka and the food supply. Go back to the middle of the lake and talk to the daughter again. She will tell you to do one more thing for her.

THE DAUGHTER’S BODY
Items for this part: Weapons, armour, food, hatchet.
Description: From the middle island, just walk into the lake from the stones as the water won’t hurt you and it’s a nice shortcut. From here go east and cut some trees to reach a white cave. Go in here and south to find a bear called Kendal. Talk to him and try a few options until you get an option about him looking like a man in a suit instead of a god. Choose this and talk to him about wanting to take the corpse of the girl, then tell him you will kill him.

THE BURIAL
Description: Kill the man in the bearsuit to get his head and keep it. Take the corpse of the girl found in the cave. Go back to the chieftain he will tell you how to bury the girl. Get five rocks from around the camp, they are all the same so you can use one or two respawns. Now go to Ragnar and get a necklace from him. Go back to the middle of the lake one last time and try to bury the corpse. Now use one of the rocks with the burial grounds to finish the quest.

Head east of Rellekka, in the Fremennik Providence. Hug the mountains east and you’ll see a guard, He’s guarding some rocks, what an interesting job. Head North of the guard a smidge and take the path with a boulder.. Use the Rope with the boulder.

Image

Take the path east and you’ll come along a mountain camp. Find the Chieftan’s tent and speak to Hamal. He’ll tell you a long story about why they broke up from Rellekka and eventually tell you his daughter is missing, volunteer to help.

South of the Chieftan’s tent there’s some mud and roots, Dig-Below the roots to get some mud.

North of the Chieftan’s tent there’s a pole spawn in the yard of Jokul, the goat minder.

Follow the path northwest of Jokul and you’ll come upon a tree and a man named Ragnar, Speak to Ragnar to find out that he’s been waiting for the daughter to marry and mentions she hears her singing around the lake sometimes.

Image

Use the mud on the Tall Tree, to make the bark less slippery, then climb the tree to cross to the next island.
Use the pole on Clump of Rocks to cross to the next island.
Use a plank on the Flat Stone to cross to the middle island.

Whilst you are on the middle island listen to the Shining pool. You will speak to the Spirit of Asleif’s Voice. She asks you to make peace between Rellekka and the Mountain Camp Tribe and to find a new source of food for her people.

Relations with Rellekka:
Head back to the Chieftan’s Tent and speak to Hamal. Ask him about relations with Rellekka. He’ll inform you that he sent Svidi out a few days ago but he hasn’t returned. You must go find him.

Image

East of Rellekka, Svidi can be anywhere from near the Black Unicorn Foals to the Mining site, he wanders around so don’t give up looking for him easily. Speak to him, and ask him if there’s anyway you could persuade him to go in. He will, if you guarentee him a safe passage.

Image

Head into Rellekka and speak to Brundt, the Chieftan. He tells you of an Ancient rock and that he wants it back before he speaks to Svidi.

Go back to the Mountain camp and enter the tent with the Ancient rock in it. Use your pickaxe on the rock to chip off a piece.
Then head back to Rellekka and speak to Brundt and give him the Ancient rock piece, and ask for the Safety Guarentee.
Go look for Svidi again and give him the safety guarentee.

Congratulations you’ve solved their relations with Rellekka!

Searching for a New Food Source:
Head back to the Chieftan’s Tent and speak to Hamal. Ask him about food supplies and volunteer to help.

Afterwards, Speak to Jokul the Goat Minder. He’ll speak of a white fruit that can even grow in snowy mountains, named White Pearl.

Go to White Wolf Mountain’s Peak and pick the Thorny bush whilst you are wearing Gloves, Gauntlets or Vambraces. Eat the White Pearl and spit the seed out.

Head back to the Chieftan’s Tent and speak to Hamal. Give him the seed and he accepts it.

Congratulations you’ve solved their food source problem!

Go back to the center of the lake where you last spoke to Asleif, she will tell you that you need to convince her father that she’s dead, and that she was dragged off.

Head north of the lake and chop the trees to get into the cave. Enter the cave.

Image

At the end of the cave you’ll see The Kendal, speak to it - and eventually call it a man in a bearsuit and ask for the corpse, and he’ll fight you, kill him and take his helmet and the corpse of Asleif.

Head back to the Chieftan’s Tent and speak to Hamal. Show him the corpse, and explain the situation. He’ll tell you, you need to bury her in the middle of the lake with a cairn made of five rocks and a possesion of her’s from Ragnar.

Gather five rocks from around the camp, then speak to Ragnar, he’ll give you a necklace of hers.

Go back to the center of the lake where you last spoke to Asleif, Bury her corpse and use the rock on her burial spot!
