Getting Started

Firstly, visit Hetty the witch in Rimmington and tell her that you’re looking for a quest. She says that she may have something for you to do, and she asks you if you want to get better at the “Dark Arts” (a.k.a. Magic). Say yes, and she tells you that she needs a potion consisting of an Eye of Newt, a Rat’s Tail, an onion, and a burnt piece of meat.

Making the Potion

All of the ingredients needed for Hetty’s potion can be found near Rimmington. You can buy an Eye of Newt from the Magic Emporium in Port Sarim for 3gp. Fresh onions grow in the garden just north of the town. You can find some Rats just south-east of town, which you can kill for meat to later burn on a stove. Kill a small level 1 Rat and pick up their Rat’s Tail, another needed ingredient.

Note: If you’re too high of a cooking level to burn meat, there’s no need to worry! You can simply just re-cook an already-cooked meat to burn it!

After obtaining all of the required ingredients, go back to Hetty and give her all of the items. She mixes a potion in her Cauldron, which you can drink from to complete the quest.

Pirate’s Treasure

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Beginners' Guide, Runescape Quests

Start: Talk to Redbeard Frank, located in Port Sarim, about treasure.
Skills: The ability to kill a level 4 Gardener.
Quests: None!
What You Need: At least 90gp, a bottle of Karamja Rum, White Apron, Chest Key, and a Spade.

Scroll down to the end of the guide to find a ‘Fast Quest Walkthrough’.

——————————————————————————–

Getting Started

First, talk to Redbeard Frank about any treasure he may know about. Usually he can be found near the Rusty Anchor Bar in Port Sarim, and he says that he will tell you about treasure if you get him some Karamja Rum. So, travel along the walkway and talk to either of the 3 sailors near the boat. When they ask if you want to take a trip to Karamja for 30gp, say yes.

Getting the Rum

Once on Karamja, follow the dirt road until you reach the bar owned by Zambo. Speak with him and buy some Karamja Rum for 30gp. Now, you need to smuggle the Rum off of the island because the Customs Officer will not allow you to bring it to the mainland.

Head back down the road and talk to Luthas, the banana plantation owner about a job. He says that he will pay you 30gp for each crate of bananas you fill up. Pick about 10 bananas from the trees behind his house, and then walk up to the crate on the other side of the building. Now use the Karamja Rum with the crate to store it, and then pack the crate with bananas.

Talk to Luthas again to collect 30gp, and then leave the island by speaking to the Customs Officer and letting her check you for anything you shouldn’t have with you. Once you’re off of the island, go to Wydin’s Grocery Store and try to get into the back room. Ask him for a job, and he says that you need a White Apron to work for him. You can find one hanging up on a hook behind the counter of the Fishing Shop (next door to the Grocery Store). Go into the back room and search the crate in the middle of the floor for the Rum.

The Pirate’s Treasure

Bring the Rum back to Redbeard Frank, who gives you a Chest Key. He says that there’s a chest upstairs in the Blue Moon Inn, so head to Varrock. Upstairs in the pub is a chest, and after unlocking it with the key you should find a Pirate Message that reads “Visit the city of the White Knights, in the park Saradomin points to the X which marks the spot.” It looks like we’re going to Falador.

You’re going to need a Spade to dig up the buried treasure, and you can find one in the small house just east of the Furnace in Falador. In the garden you will see a statue of Saradomin pointing west. Right in front of him is a flower bed that crisscrosses like an X, so walk towards the center of it, right-click on the ground and select the “dig” option. Before you can dig the treasure up however, you’ll be attacked by a level 4 Gardener. After killing him, dig the treasure up to complete the quest!

Rewards

Treasure: A Cut Emerald, Gold Ring and 450gp.

The Knight’s Sword

Posted by: amber  //  Category: Minigame Guides, Runescape Guide, Runescape Quests

Start: Talk to the Squire in the Falador White Knight Castle.
Skills: You need at least 10 Mining, and the ability to defend against level 57 Ice Warriors and level 53 Ice Giants.
Quests: None!
What You Need: A Redberry Pie, Portrait of Sir Vyvin’s sword, a Blurite Ore and 2 Iron bars.

Scroll down to the end of the guide to find a ‘Fast Quest Walkthrough’.

——————————————————————————–

Getting Started

Firstly, speak with Sir Vyvin’s Squire who can usually be found wandering the Falador Castle garden. Ask him how life as a squire is, and he says that he’s lost Sir Vyvin’s sword. Tell him that you will try and make him a new one, and he says that the sword was made by the Imcando Dwarves.

Now ask the Squire if the Dwarves will make him another, and he tells you to ask Reldo, the librarian of Varrock Castle about them. Tell him that you’ll find out about the Dwarves and try to help.

Finding the Dwarf

Head over to Varrock and look for Reldo, the helpful librarian of Varrock Castle. He’s usually found in his library towards the north side of the castle, and ask him about the Imcando Dwarves. He explains to you that they were almost completely wiped out from the Barbarian attacks, but some may still exist.

Reldo tells you to check the cliffs near Port Sarim, and that you’ll probably need a Redberry Pie to get the Dwarf to help you. You can either buy a Redberry Pie from another player, or cook it yourself, provided that you have level 10 Cooking.

Once you’ve got the pie, head to Port Sarim, just a short distance south of Falador. Continue walking south until you reach a cliff where you should see a small house and a Dwarf named Thurgo. Ask him if he’d like some Redberry Pie, and speak with him again to ask if he will make you a sword. He says that if you get him a picture, he could probably smith it for you.

The Knight’s Sword

Now go back to the Squire in Falador and ask him if there’s a picture of the sword. He tells you that Sir Vyvin has one in his cupboard in the Castle. Go inside through the main entrance and climb up the ladder. Climb up the stairs in the next room, and upstairs should be a small room to the south. Open the cupboard inside and search for a Portrait of the sword.

Now that you’ve got the portrait, bring it to Thurgo to let him look at it. He says that he needs 2 Iron bars and 1 Blurite ore to make a copy of it. You can either smith or buy the iron bars from another player. Blurite ore can be found in the cave right near Thurgo’s house, but it may be a little tricky to get at.

Inside the cave entrance are Muggers, which you can probably slip by quite easily. Next is a group of Pirates, which are more difficult, along with a few Hobgoblins. After following the passage for awhile you will come across an area covered in ice. Toward the east side of the cave can be found 2 Blurite rocks, guarded by many level 57 Ice Warriors and several level 53 Ice Giants. It may be wise to bring some food, and hopefully you will leave with a Blurite Ore .

Hint: If you want to get an extra sword, get 4 Iron bars and 2 Blurite ores. After Thurgo makes the first sword, drop it and have him make another. Before you talk to the Squire, drop a sword or he will take both. (thanks for the tip, Grogrim!)

When you have the needed items, give them to Thurgo who will make you a Blurite Sword to bring back to the Squire. After giving him the sword, you’re finished!

Monsters: Entrana Fire Bird (level 2), Black Knights (level 31), Jailer (level 42), Ice Giants (level 48), Ice Warriors (level 57), Ice Spiders (level 61), Ice Queen (level 111).
NPC: Achetties (Hero’s Guild), Garrant (Port Sarim fishing store), Velrak the Explorer (Black Knights jail in Members Dungeon), Katrine (Varrock), Straven (Varrock), Trobert (Brimhaven), Gruber (Brimhaven), Grip (Brimhaven), Alfonse the Waiter (Brimhaven), Charlie the Cook (Brimhaven).

HERO’S QUEST WALKTHROUGH
To become a Hero, and worthy of entering The Hero’s Guild, you need to bring Achetties three items. One is the feather of a fire bird, the second is a cooked lava eel, and last, the Master Thief Armband. You can get these items in any order you want to. However, for the master thief armband, you will need a friend in the other gang. So if you’re in the Black Arms Gang, you will need to find someone to hook up with.
Firebird Feather: This is where you need to kill the level 102 Ice Queen, go to the bank (Catherby is best if you have done the Fishing Contest). Get out your armour, weapon, and food (and whatever you need to kill her, pots etc…), as well as a pickaxe. When you have these, head up to the White Wolf Mountain just east of Catherby. Walk north through the White Wolf Mountain and past the gnome glider, and you will come to a rock slide. If you right click on it you will have an option to mine it. After you’ve mined the slider, continue down the southern ladder there, and you will end up inside the mountain.
If you go a little west you should now see two paths, take the southern one, and climb up the ladder. Once you’re up, you’ll be faced with level 54 ice giants. Go down the eastern ladder, and run/walk all the way down the path and you will end up at another ladder, go up, and then go down the other ladder. Go north and you should eventually see the level 111 ice queen. She is extremely hard to kill, since she is in a multi-combat zone, and there are six level 53 ice warriors around there as well. Once you’ve killed her, pick up the ice gloves that she dropped.
Head all the way back, and go to Falador bank. Put all of your armour and weapons in the bank, and then head down to the Port Sarim docks, and take the boat to Entrana (the most north-eastern boat). Once on Entrana go all the way north and search the area there, you should see a little red bird named Entrana Fire Bird. It’s only level two, so you shouldn’t have a problem killing it. When it’s dead, wear your ice gloves from the Ice Queen and pick up the fire feather.
Cooked lava eel: Coming back from Entrana, you can stop by the fishing store in Port Sarim. Speak with the owner of the store, and ask him how to fish lava eels. He will give you a bottle of Blemish Snail Slime. So, head back to the bank in Falador, and get out your harralander, water filled vial, fishing rod and bait. Use the harralander and the slime with the water filled vial, and you will have Blemish Oil. Use it with the rod and you will now have the Oily Fishing Rod you need to fish the lava eels. Now its time to go down to the Members Dungeon which you will find south of Taverly.
You will need to go past some poison scorpions, bring an anti-poison. You will also come up against some nasty dragons, so bringing your trusty anti-dragon breath shield might be a good idea as well. Food and armour could help you as well. You will, of course, need your oily fishing rod, and some bait (around 10 should do it). One last thing you need is a dusty key. If you don’t have it already, read below. When you have all the things you need, head to the dungeon south of Taverly.
Dusty key: Enter the dungeon, go straight ahead until you come to a set of prison doors, open them and the suits of armour will attack you, kill them and go through the door. Head out of one of the other doors there (doesn鈥檛 really matter which), and go south-east past the black knights, magic axes, poison scorpions, and then go straight ahead into the little path going south. You should now be at some more black knights. Go through the door there and then turn east. You should now see a level 42 jailer, kill him and pick up the keys he dropped. Open the jail door to the south and talk with Velrak the Explorer. After a bit of talk, he will give you the dusty key.
In the member鈥檚 dungeon, go all the way into the lesser demons, and then use your dusty key on the door there. You’re now in a room with blue dragons. If you want, you can kill some. Go south until you get to a place with lava, there you should see three fishing spots. Fish some lava eels from one of those spots. You will need two cooked at the end, so if your cooking isn’t that high, be on the safe side and fish 10-15 of them. Go back out and cook the lava eels.
Master Thief Armband: This is where you need your partner. If you’re in the Phoenix Gang, you need a friend from the Black Arm Gang and of course the other way around as well.
Black Arm Gang: Go to your hideout in Varrock. You should find Katrine there. Talk with her a bit and she will give you the password: “four leaf clover”. Get your full black set of armour out of the bank. Head off to Brimhaven (on Karamja), and enter the house east of the pirates bar, and speak with either Trobert or Gruber there. They will give you your ID papers. Now walk west until you come to the mansion. Be sure to wear your full black armour and go in.
Once in, talk with Grip and he should give you a key; hand it over to your Phoenix partner, and then wait for your partner to get ready. Once he is ready, go back in to the mansion and open the cupboard in the northern room. Grip should now come in the room, and your partner can shoot him. Once he is dead he will drop a key. Use this key to enter the treasure room in the western room, and search around to find two candlesticks, when you have them, give one to your partner, and then you both can return to your leaders to get the armband.
Phoenix Gang: Go to your hideout in Varrock. Ask Straven about the Master Thief Armband. After a bit of talking, you should get the password: “Gherkin”. When you have it, go to your bank and withdraw some cash (100gp is enough), some arrows and a bow. You will need to kill a level 26, so bring enough arrows. When you have that, head off to Brimhaven on Karamja and meet with your Black Arm Gang friend.
Your friend will have a key for you, trade with them, and go into the bar and talk with Alfonse the Waiter and give him your password. You will now be allowed into the kitchen, talk with Charlie the Cook and he will tell you about the secret wall. It is next to the stove on the western wall, go through it, and use your key on the door across the yard there. Meanwhile, your partner should almost be ready with Grip. Stand in front of the window in the next room and shoot Grip. Your partner should now see a key; he will use it to get the two candlesticks and trade one of them with you. Return to your gang leader to get the armband.
Once you both have all three items, go back to you the Hero’s guide and talk with Achetties. This completes the quest.

Goblins: Go to the Goblin Village north of Falador and speak with one of the generals, ask if you should pick for them.
Dyes: You can get these from Aggie in Draynor Village. Go there and ask her about what colour you need.
Blue Dye: To make blue dye, you will need 2 woad leaves. Woad leaves are available from Wyson the gardener, who can be found in the garden north of the Eastern Falador Bank. If you offer him 20gp for one, he will give you two for your generosity, otherwise you will have to pay 15gp a piece.
Red Dye: To make red dye, you will need 3 redberries. These can be collected South-east of Varrock, in the woods east of the Stonehenge there there are two spawn spots.
Yellow Dye: To make yellow dye, you will need 2 onions. These can be found in a patch just west of the Rimmington mines.

Green dye: To make green dye, simply use blue dye with yellow dye.
Once you have the right dye, use it with a Goblin Mail.
Generals again: They don’t like the orange armour, so now you’ll have to make some blue. Aggie will charge you 5gp for making the dye. Once you have it, use it on a Goblin Mail, and return to the generals.
Brown Armour: The brown armour the generals talk about is actually just the normal type. So just get another Goblin Mail and talk with them again.

On the way there the boat will tip over the great statue and you’ll be arrested by the black guards of the city as you arrive. You’ll be asked by Commander Veldaban to help the local sculptor rebuild a statue. He can be found in East Keldagrim, south of the Kebab shop. He will tell you that he needs you to find a pair of boots, some clothes and a battleaxe to dress the new statue in. Talk to Santiri in the sword shop in the north-west of Keldagrim. Ask him about a special axe. Talk for a bit and he will give you the axe and will talk abut an imcando dwarf fixing it. Use your sapphires on the axe. Go to the south-east of the city and talk with one of the conductors there and buy a ticket. Now take the cart to the Dwarven Mines. Walk to Port Sarim, and then further south to find a house just west of the dungeon. Talk to the dwarf, and he’ll say how he loves redberrie pie. Offer him one, talk to him again and says he needs an iron bar to fix the axe. Give him an iron bar and he will fix the axe. Go back to Keldagrim. Talk to the sculptor who sends you to his model. Give him the axe. Next to the sculptor’s house there is a massive marketplace, where you will find Vermundi. Ask her about some special clothes. She will send you to the librarian in West Keldagrim to get a book about school custumes which the kings dress is in. The librarian will say its on one of the shelves, but he can’t remember where, so you’ll just have to search them all. Once you have the book get your coal ore, log, tinderbox and the money from the bank, and ask Vermundi about the special clothes once again and she will take the designs. She will need some help with her spinning machine, so use your log or coal on it then use your tinderbox on it. Talk to Vermundi about the special clothes again. Walk to the south west part of Keldagrim to the shield shop and talk to a man named Saro. Ask him about some special boots. He will tell you that he sold the special boots to a man named Dromund. He says Dromund is known for his wealth and peculiarities. He lives north of the bank. Talk to Dromund and he won’t let you have the boots. Try and take the right boot and the cat will meow and you will not able to take it. Place yourself outside the window next to the right boot and when he’s on the left wall not looking telegrab the boot. The left boot is very easy. Once he passes the table just grab it. Talk with the sculptor after giving the boots to the model. He tells you he needs to know what the head should look like. He wants you to go and find someone at the consortium (on the second floor in the centre/marketplace on the west side of the river). Speak to the secretary of any of the companies and do one of their tasks. Go back and do another task. In total you have to do five tasks. After these, you may request to talk with the director. Ask the director about joining the company, and he’ll tell you that you need to prove yourself. Do some tasks for the director, and then ask him about joining. Once joined tell him that Blasidar sent you, and that you’ll support the fact that it should be his head which should go on the statue. Talk to Veldaben once again. You will be asked to go with him to a meeting. There is a cut scene and the quest is complete.

Runescape EASY MONEY - CHEATS, HINTS, TIPS

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Cheats, Runescape Gold, Runescape Money Cheats, Runescape Money Making Guide, runescape easy money, runescape money

Method 1: Go to Port Sarim, west of Draynor village, and ask one of the people in the blue uniforms to go to Karamja and pay them 30 GP. When you get there, walk off the dock and you should see a house. Enter the house and talk to a man named Luthas. He will ask you to pick bananas. Answer “Yes”, pick bananas, put them in the crate, then talk to Luthas to collect your moderately earned 30 GP. If you would like more money in multiples of 30, ask him to get another 30 GP for doing the job again. Stay here for a long time if you need to spend several thousand on items..
Method 2: For easy money and thieving skill (members only), go to Ardougne where the stalls are located. Behind the bakers stall are two houses. You can pick their locks. Go to the one with no upstairs. Enter and search for traps on the chest and you will get ten gp. Go out the door. Pick the lock again and search for traps on the chest once more. Keep doing this and you will have fast thieving skill and money at the same time.
Method 3: Get to level 20 mining and smithing Go to Varrok and mine iron, then go to a smelter and smelt them into bars. You may have to do this repeatedly, as ore only smelts 50% of time. Then, go to back to Varrok and smith the bars into short swords. Sell them in market or at the sword shop. Do this repeatedly to get a good amount money. This is useful for low level players.

Method 4: When at level 35, fight Black Knights. They drop runes, sapphires, rubies, and gold. Get as many runes as possible, then go to the center of Varrock and sell them. Let them make the price.
Method 5: Get your character’s mining level up to level 38 by mining iron, etc. Then, go to the Barbarian Village and mine coal from the rocks, which you can sell for 100 to 300 GP per piece. You will also occasionally find a gem (from least valuable to most, sapphire, emerald, ruby, diamond) which can be sold for good prices.
Method 6: Get your smithing and mining levels up to 40 and mine gold in the Lessers Pits on Karajama Island. However, be careful of the level 21 skeletons. There are five rocks, so on a good night when no one is on, you can hit them in a row making your trip very easy. You can usually get 25 gold ore that becomes 25 gold bars. Put them into certs and sell for 1k a gold cert.
Method 7: Mine and smith until you are at level 20 at both. Make Bronze Bars and turn them into things at an Anvil such as: a 2-H, Mail Plate Body, Skirt, or Kite Shield and sell them at the market for good prices. You can also do this with Mithril, Runite (not Rune), Adamantite, Iron, and Steel.
Method 8: Go to Chaos Temple. Kill monks and take the Steel Maces. Sell them to the Mace Store in Falador for 138 gp. Do this repeatedly to get levels and money quickly.

level 40. Then, go to the Crafting Guild (north of Remington) at a time when there are not many people playing. You will need a Brown Apron and bring a Pick (Adamanite or Rune recommended).Mine the gold ores then deposit them at the Eastern Falador bank. Then, go back and mine. If you had 250 gold ores, you will now have about 240,000 coins. Repeat this as many times as desired.

Keep all the ore, fish, or anything else you can collect. At level 20 mining, mine Iron until reaching level 40. Then, go back to fishing. Easy money
Go to Port Sarim, west of Draynor village, and ask one of the people in the blue uniforms to go to Karamja and pay them 30 GP. Stay here for a long time if you need to spend several thousand on items.

Go to Port Sarim and do the banana thing and put a bottle of rum in the crate then go in and collect your GP. Then go back outside and to Port Sarim get a white apron and go get a job in the grocery store at Sarim. Search the crate in the back and take the rum and some bananas. Then go to the bar in Sarim, give the drunk the rum and then, when you are done, go up to varrock or someplace and sell the bananas.
