Quest Length: Short.

Required Items: Compost, Full Watering Can, 2 Nails, 2 Planks, Saw, Hammer.
NPC: Lakki the delivery Dwarf, Drorkar, Brother Bordiss, Brother Althric, Professor Arblenap, Oracle, Nurmof.

Speak to Lakki the Delivery Dwarf north of Falador on the path connecting Falador with Barbarian Village. Lakki was supposed to be delivering parts to the new power station but has lost a crate along the way. Offer to help him find it. Head west along the path toward the steps. Search the bushes you see beside the path. The crate will be in one of them, though it is random for each player. So search all the bushes until you find it.

Once you have recovered the crate, head up to the power station on southern end of the mountain. It is the grey building on minimap west of the Dwarven Mine entrance. Speak to Drorkar and give him the crate. Drorkar will ask you to deliver a letter to Bordiss, who can be found in the monastery to the north east. Accept the task and make your way to the northern garden of the monastery.

Speak with Brother Bordiss and give him Drorkar’s letter. Bordiss will be enraged by the letter and tell you about Drorkar’s “Zamorakian smoke machine.” Just as he is calmed down. Brother Aldric’s roses die. Speak to Brother Aldric and offer to help him. Use a bucket of compost and your watering can on the dead roses to save the flowers.

After a cutscene head back to Dwarven Mountain and up the snowy central peak. Find Professor Arblenap on the southern end of the snowed peak and speak with him. Arblenap will tell you how Drorkar’s machine is killing the Icefiends. Offer to help him save them. Wield the net the Professor gives you and capture four baby Icefiends. Give the Icefiends to the Professor who will thank you and teleport just as an avalanche occurs.

Head to the northern end of the mountain and speak with the Oracle. Offer to fix her demolished tent, which has been swept down the mountainside to the east. Head down from the ice peak and pick up her broken tent from the avalanche snow. Head back up the mountain to the Oracle and use the tent on the remains with a hammer, 2 planks, 2 nails and a saw in your inventory to fix it. The Oracle will tell you how the melting snow will cause the end of civilization and insist you must prevent it.

Head down from the peak and south to the power station to speak with Drorkar. Tell him he must shut down the power station as it will cause the end of civilization. He will not be swayed and tells you to speak with Nurmof. Head east and down the ladder into Dwarven Mine. Make your way to Nurmof’s pickaxe shop and tell him he must shut the power station down. Nurmof refuses but says Bordiss had an alternative design but never turned up with the plans. Head back to the monastery and speak with Brother Bordiss. He will tell you he kept the plans is his chest and it seems Drorkar took the key while he was drunk.

Head back to the power station and pickpocket Drorkar for the chest key. Make your way to the east and down the ladder into the mines. Head immediately east into Drogo’s shop. Use the key on the chest to retrieve the plans. Bordiss Chest Take the plans to Nurmof and use them with him. He will assess the design and realises it will work. Watch the cutscene of the new environmentally friendly power station. The quest is now complete.

HERO’S QUEST WALKTHROUGH
To become a Hero, and worthy of entering The Hero’s Guild, you need to bring Achetties three items. One is the feather of a fire bird, the second is a cooked lava eel, and last, the Master Thief Armband. You can get these items in any order you want to. However, for the master thief armband, you will need a friend in the other gang. So if you’re in the Black Arms Gang, you will need to find someone to hook up with.
Firebird Feather: This is where you need to kill the level 102 Ice Queen, go to the bank (Catherby is best if you have done the Fishing Contest). Get out your armour, weapon, and food (and whatever you need to kill her, pots etc…), as well as a pickaxe. When you have these, head up to the White Wolf Mountain just east of Catherby. Walk north through the White Wolf Mountain and past the gnome glider, and you will come to a rock slide. If you right click on it you will have an option to mine it. After you’ve mined the slider, continue down the southern ladder there, and you will end up inside the mountain.
If you go a little west you should now see two paths, take the southern one, and climb up the ladder. Once you’re up, you’ll be faced with level 54 ice giants. Go down the eastern ladder, and run/walk all the way down the path and you will end up at another ladder, go up, and then go down the other ladder. Go north and you should eventually see the level 111 ice queen. She is extremely hard to kill, since she is in a multi-combat zone, and there are six level 53 ice warriors around there as well. Once you’ve killed her, pick up the ice gloves that she dropped.
Head all the way back, and go to Falador bank. Put all of your armour and weapons in the bank, and then head down to the Port Sarim docks, and take the boat to Entrana (the most north-eastern boat). Once on Entrana go all the way north and search the area there, you should see a little red bird named Entrana Fire Bird. It’s only level two, so you shouldn’t have a problem killing it. When it’s dead, wear your ice gloves from the Ice Queen and pick up the fire feather.
Cooked lava eel: Coming back from Entrana, you can stop by the fishing store in Port Sarim. Speak with the owner of the store, and ask him how to fish lava eels. He will give you a bottle of Blemish Snail Slime. So, head back to the bank in Falador, and get out your harralander, water filled vial, fishing rod and bait. Use the harralander and the slime with the water filled vial, and you will have Blemish Oil. Use it with the rod and you will now have the Oily Fishing Rod you need to fish the lava eels. Now its time to go down to the Members Dungeon which you will find south of Taverly.
You will need to go past some poison scorpions, bring an anti-poison. You will also come up against some nasty dragons, so bringing your trusty anti-dragon breath shield might be a good idea as well. Food and armour could help you as well. You will, of course, need your oily fishing rod, and some bait (around 10 should do it). One last thing you need is a dusty key. If you don’t have it already, read below. When you have all the things you need, head to the dungeon south of Taverly.
Dusty key: Enter the dungeon, go straight ahead until you come to a set of prison doors, open them and the suits of armour will attack you, kill them and go through the door. Head out of one of the other doors there (doesn’t really matter which), and go south-east past the black knights, magic axes, poison scorpions, and then go straight ahead into the little path going south. You should now be at some more black knights. Go through the door there and then turn east. You should now see a level 42 jailer, kill him and pick up the keys he dropped. Open the jail door to the south and talk with Velrak the Explorer. After a bit of talk, he will give you the dusty key.
In the member’s dungeon, go all the way into the lesser demons, and then use your dusty key on the door there. You’re now in a room with blue dragons. If you want, you can kill some. Go south until you get to a place with lava, there you should see three fishing spots. Fish some lava eels from one of those spots. You will need two cooked at the end, so if your cooking isn’t that high, be on the safe side and fish 10-15 of them. Go back out and cook the lava eels.
Master Thief Armband: This is where you need your partner. If you’re in the Phoenix Gang, you need a friend from the Black Arm Gang and of course the other way around as well.
Black Arm Gang: Go to your hideout in Varrock. You should find Katrine there. Talk with her a bit and she will give you the password: “four leaf clover”. Get your full black set of armour out of the bank. Head off to Brimhaven (on Karamja), and enter the house east of the pirates bar, and speak with either Trobert or Gruber there. They will give you your ID papers. Now walk west until you come to the mansion. Be sure to wear your full black armour and go in.
Once in, talk with Grip and he should give you a key; hand it over to your Phoenix partner, and then wait for your partner to get ready. Once he is ready, go back in to the mansion and open the cupboard in the northern room. Grip should now come in the room, and your partner can shoot him. Once he is dead he will drop a key. Use this key to enter the treasure room in the western room, and search around to find two candlesticks, when you have them, give one to your partner, and then you both can return to your leaders to get the armband.
Phoenix Gang: Go to your hideout in Varrock. Ask Straven about the Master Thief Armband. After a bit of talking, you should get the password: “Gherkin”. When you have it, go to your bank and withdraw some cash (100gp is enough), some arrows and a bow. You will need to kill a level 26, so bring enough arrows. When you have that, head off to Brimhaven on Karamja and meet with your Black Arm Gang friend.
Your friend will have a key for you, trade with them, and go into the bar and talk with Alfonse the Waiter and give him your password. You will now be allowed into the kitchen, talk with Charlie the Cook and he will tell you about the secret wall. It is next to the stove on the western wall, go through it, and use your key on the door across the yard there. Meanwhile, your partner should almost be ready with Grip. Stand in front of the window in the next room and shoot Grip. Your partner should now see a key; he will use it to get the two candlesticks and trade one of them with you. Return to your gang leader to get the armband.
Once you both have all three items, go back to you the Hero’s guide and talk with Achetties. This completes the quest.

Go to Port Phasmatys Inn and talk to Bill Teach. Tell him you want to be a pirate and promise to help him once more. Now go East to the port and board the big ship there. Talk to Bill again. Say you arr ready to go. Go downstairs and search the repair locker to get two ropes, then search the gun locker for a fuse. Once you have the items, go up and climb the climbing net on the ship. Use your rope on the hoisted sails, and you will get an animation of you rope swinging to the pirates ship. Use the fuse on the barrel next to the cannon, and fire the fuse up. Go back to Bill the same way, climb up the climbing net on the enemy ship and use your rope on the hoisted sails to get back to Bill’s ship.
Please Note: If you didn’t get two ropes at first, there is a rope re-spawn on the enemy ship, so you can grab one of theirs and use it to get back.
Bill will tell you to fix the leaks. Go downstairs, search the repair locker for 6 repair planks, a hammer, 30 tacks and 3 swamp paste. Now fix one of the leaks. First use the planks on the leak, then the swamp paste. Do this to the three leaks. Once you have repaired all three leaks, go back to Bill. Get 2 more ropes from the repair locker downstairs, and swing to the pirates’ ship. Go downstairs and plunder the chest, the box and the barrel until you have 10 stacks of plunder. Now go back to Bill’s ship and put the plunder in the chest below board.
Go back to Bill using the rope-swing once more. He now asks you to fix the cannon. Get a barrel from the gun locker downstairs, and use it on the broken-down cannon. Talk to Bill again, then get a ramrod, a fuse and a canister from the gun locker. Go back up, pick some gunpowder from the barrel next to the cannon, and use it on the cannon. Tamp it with the ramrod, add the canister, attach the fuse and fire it. After firing, use the ramrod to clean the cannon. Talk to Bill one last time, then get three cannonballs and fuses from the gun locker. Fire the cannon the same way you did before, except this time, use a cannonball instead of a canister. After you have shot the enemy boat three times and it has been sunk, you will sail to the pirate island. This completes the quest.

Runescape EASY LEVEL UPS - CHEATS, HINTS AND TIPS

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Powerleveling, Runescape Skills

Method 1: Go to Rimmington, then go to the room where two logs respawn. Go in it, close the door, then wait until the little level 2 rats respawn there. Kill them until you reach level 5, then go back to Lumbridge. Go to the room with goblins in it. Close the door and wait until they respawn. Kill them and level up to about level 10. Then, go to Varrok and kill any level 9 men and level 10 muggers until you level up five more times. Then, go to the Wizard Tower to level up to level 20. Continue with the higher five levels each time until you are at level 40.
Method 2: An easy way to level up in your ranger level is to go to Port Sarim. Go inside the jail. Note: You will not be able to get your undamaged arrows again — bring a lot of them. Shoot at the goblin first until you gain some levels, then kill the mugger followed by the thief, black knight, and other prisoners. You will level quickly. Another place of interest for rangers is the wizard tower. Go down the stairs until you cannot proceed further. Look for the lesser daemon that is caged up. Note: Once again, you cannot get your arrows back. Also, beware of the level 25 dark wizard with a beard who will attack you.

Method 3: You can level your attack level (not strength) up to 8 at the Varrok training center (the one with five dummies in it) next to the east smithing area.
Method 4: Go to the hut in which you talk to the ancient Gnome. Attack the level 47 Jungle Spiders. These give more experience than level 56 Knights or level 79 Lessers.
Method 5: A good training location is the third floor in the black knight castle. There are non-aggressive black knights respawning there, and an Altar. To get in, first make sure you have a medium Bronze Helmet and an Iron Chain Mail. Then, go to world one and enter the fortress. Go through both doors so that you are in the black knight meeting hall. It has three long tables. Then, go through the door (not the one you just came in from). The reason this is done in world one is because people are attacking the black knights and they will not stop you from going in the door. Once you get through the door, log out and go to a less crowded world. Then, go up the stairs to the second floor, then up the ladder to the third floor. If you have a high enough Pray level, put on Rapid Heal; whenever you are low on Pray points recharge at the altar. Another benefit of training here is that if you are very low on HP and do not have food, leave and to the monastery; then repeat the process to get back in.
Method 6: An easy way to get your attack to any desired level is at Varrock. Go to the dummies by the museum. Hit the dummies until your attack level is 8. Once at 8, you will no longer be allowed to hit the dummies. Drink beer until your attack is 0 then keep hitting the dummies. Once your attack returns to 8 or more, repeat by drinking the beer. Note: The dummies only give 5 experience points for every hit.
Method 7: Go to Falador and get a Sleeping Bag, any kind of Pickaxe, and a Hammer. Go north to the mine. Stay there until you are satisfied with your mining level. Then go to Falador and smelt the ore. Go to Doric’s house and smith the ore. Repeat this to gain higher mining and smithing levels.
Method 8: For faster fletching levels (members only), go to the Gnome stronghold and cut oak trees. Oaks can be cut very fast. Make oak long bows, but do not string them. You will gain wood cutting and fletching experience quickly. Then, sell the bows to the general store for 8 gp each. You should get about 1,000 gp for every three to four hundred bows.
Method 9: A easy way to make money is to mine, smith, and cut trees like yews. Train all three of those skills to make hundreds of thousands with a level 3 character.
Method 10: This trick is for members only. Do the Plague City and Biohazard quests. After finishing the Biohazard quest, you can use King Lutha’s training grounds. To attack the ogres there you must get a halberd, range, or mage. With the halberd you can gain lots of combat levels in about an hour.
Method 11: You cannot die on the Tutorial Island. You will go down to one health, but you will not die. Stay down there to get your stats up to level 3.
Method 12: Go to Goblin Village (north of Falador) and go to a world with almost nobody in it (try when at night). Kill the Goblins to gain levels. Also, to win, use attack levels: accurate or controlled; strength levels: aggressive; and defense levels: defensive block.
Method 13: If you are a member, go to Seers village (west of White Wolf Mountain). Below the checkered room will be a field of Flax (the west field). Pick Flax and put it in your bank in Seers Village. Repeat this until you have about 500 to 1,000 Flax. You can sell Flax in that bank for 100 gp. If you want more money (with 12 Crafting), there are two buildings below and to the left of the bank. Take the Flax to the top floor of the southern building and use the spinning wheel. Spin the Flax into Bow Strings and sell them for 150 to 200 gp. You will also get a some crafting experience for spinning flax.

——————————————————————————–
Introduction

Mining Rune Ore is perhaps one of the best ways of making money in RuneScape, with an experienced miner being able to bring in 1 million gp in just 3 hours.
This guide will focus on Mining Rune at the Wilderness Rune Mine, as it is the only place in which Free players may mine Rune, and because the other sites are easy enough to mine at anyway.

Recommended Levels

To begin this profitable venture, you will need a few levels to begin with. These are

83+ Mining (Required): Although you need 85 mining to mine Rune, it is possible to do so before. To do this, you will need either a Dwarven stout, which increases your Mining and Smithing Levels by 1, or a mature Dwarven Stout which does so by 2.
It is however strongly recommended that you get 85 mining. This is because it will make things much simpler, as you will not need to take up inventory space by carrying the stouts, they can be hard to buy, and the time that they last is unpredictable.

High Combat Level (Recommended): It is recommended that you have fairly high combat stats, due to the fact that the Rune Rocks are surrounded by level 34 spiders, and due to the fact that they are located in around level 54 Wilderness, you will be able to be attacked by most Revenants; and such you will need to defend yourself.

39+ Prayer (Recommended): It is highly recommended that you have at least 39 prayer so that you may use the prayer protect from magic- although having 43 so that you can use all the protect prayers is preferred.

High Agility (Recommended and members only)- If you are a member, then it is highly recommended that you raise your agility level to at least 30. This will not take to long, and you will most definitely notice the difference. This is because you will be doing a fair amount of running whilst mining rune- be it to the bank, or from Revenants, and you will find the extra energy extremely useful.

Recommended Equipment

You will need the right gear if you want to mine rune successfully. Below are some recommended set ups, but you may add and remove items depending on your budget and levels.

An example of some good equipment. You should change items depending on your levels, and if you are a member or not.

Set up 1- Free to Play

Head- Wizards Hat
Torso- Best d’hide body you can wear
Legs- Best d’hide chaps you can wear
Shield- Anti dragon fire shield
Weapon- Rune Pickaxe
Gloves- Leather Gloves
Amulet- Amulet of defence or Holy Symbol

Set up 2- Members

Head- farseer helm, wizards hat
Torso- Best d’hide body you can wear
Legs- Best d’hide chaps you can wear
Shield- Elemental or Mind Shield
Weapon- Rune Pickaxe
Gloves- Forthity Bracelet
Amulet- Glory Amulet, Amulet of Defence or Holy Symbol

Both of these set ups provide good magic defence, which is what a revenant will usually attack with first, whilst still remaining cheap.

Recommended Inventory

An example of a good inventory.

Around 5 Tuna fish or lobsters: Tuna is recommended, as it is extremely cheap, whilst it still heals a good amount (10hp). Those who are new to rune mining, or with low combat levels may want to take lobsters or swordfish.

3 Cakes: Although they only heal 4hp per bite, in total cake heals 12hp whilst still being cheap. It is recommended that you eat these when not in immediate danger as not to waste money on more expensive fish.

Anti Poison (members): In members worlds, Revenants will often poison you in 50+ Wilderness. There is a chance that you will be teleported here if using Obelisks to travel, and such to prevent an early trip to the bank, it is recommended that you take 1 anti poison potion.

Prayer Potion (members): You will often pray a lot if you encounter Revenants, and such you may save yourself a trip to the altar by carrying 1 prayer potion.

Travel and Location

It is not easy reaching these rare rocks, however with these tricks your journey should be slightly less treacherous.

From Edgeville or Varrock: This is the most dangerous route, and the only one open to free players. You simply walk to the rocks from either Edgville or Varrock.

Skills Necklace (members only): Members may use a Games Necklace to teleport to either Bounty Hunter or Clan Wars. You may then either use teleport obelisks, or walk to the Rune rocks.

Ancient Magiks Spells (members only): several spells from the Ancient Magiks spellbook will teleport you near the Rune rocks; these are-

- Dareeyak teleport;78 magic- The ruins
- Carrallangar teleport; 84 magic- The Graveyard
- Annakarl teleport; 90 magic- The Demonic Ruins
- Ghorrock teleport; 96 magic- The Ice Plateau

Teleport Obelisks (members only): There are several Teleport Obelisks scattered across the Wilderess. If you teleport using one of these, then you will be randomly sent to another. There is one outside bounty hunter, and anther just west of the Rune rocks, meaning that you can reach them easily.

- Green line: Using Teleport Obelisks
- Pink line: Dareeyak teleport
- White line: Carrallangar teleport
- Blue line: Annakarl teleport
- Peach line: Ghorrock teleport
- Black line: from Varrock
- Brown line: from Edgeville

Whilst Mining

Whilst mining, there are several things you should check you have done.

Sound: Make sure that you have the sound effects turned UP. This way you can hear a Revenants magic attack, and such run and use the correct protection prayers straight away.

Auto Attack: You should also have this turned OFF. That way you will not run towards any attacking Revenants.

Run: Have this turned ON, whilst mining, so that you can run from attacking Revenants straight away.

You should also keep an eye on your mini map, and your camera angle low, so that you can see Revenants, and run from them at quickly at possible.

Banking

You should not bank with a full inventory of Rune. This will mean that you cannot run for long, and if you die you will lose a lot of money. You should also make sure that you have some food left.
There are several ways that you can bank your Rune.

Bounty Hunter: This is probably the best way, as it is close by. Members may use Teleport Obelisks, and teleport right outside, whilst free players will have to walk.

Mage Arena (members only): This is the second best method, but is not recommended as you will have to walk around high levelled wilderness, which is a hotspot for Revenants.

- Green line: Using teleport obelisks
- Peach line: Mage arena

Revenants

Throughout this guide, I have mentioned Revenants several times. For those who are not familiar with them, they are dangerous ghosts that replaced Pking. They can hit up to 30 often, and could leave even the most experienced of players dead before they know what’s hit them.
They will usually use there magic attack first, but can use all styles of combat and will change depending on what protection prayer you use.
Such it is advised that you take plenty of food whilst mining, and only items that you are willing to lose.

Grave Stones

Mining Rune is a dangerous past time, and such you will most probably die at some point. When this happens, you will leave behind a gravestone. These last for a few minutes, and if you reach it in time you will receive all of your items back. You can purchase new gravestones from the church in Lumbridge, whilst members may also purchase more once they have finished the drunken dwarf quest.

Tips and Tricks

- The higher your mining level, the faster you will mine Rune.
- Revenants will usually use their Magic attack first; turn your sound up and learn to recognise it so that you may use protect prayers and run straight away.
- If you die, you can still get your items back; but you will need to get to the place that you died at within a few minutes.

World Hopping

As Rune ore takes so long to respawn, it is reccomended that you world hop. It is a good idea to pick around 5 worlds and cycle through them, so that you will be there when the ore spawns.

How to Complete Doric’s Quest in RuneScape

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Quests

Completing this free quest will allow you to use Doric’s anvils for smithing. This is an easy method if you are mining on the west side of the free world and don’t want to go all the way to Varrock for anvils.

  1. Travel north of Falador. Take the left fork in the road since the right fork will lead you up the mountain. Enter a little hut with anvils.
  2. Ask Doric if you can use his anvils. He will ask for some ores in exchange.
  3. Go up to the Dwarven Mines (take the right fork of the mountain) and mine 4 copper ores, 2 iron ores, and 6 lumps of clay.
  4. Go back to Doric and give him what you mined. He’ll then give you a reward.

The rewards for this quest are one quest point, 1,300 mining experience (a big help for low level miners), the ability to use Doric’s anvils and whetstone, and 180 GP. The different levels of mining for this quest are: clay, 1; copper, 1; and iron, 15. If you have a mining level lower than 15, you can trade in Falador’s banks with other players, buy iron ore at the Dwarven Mine shop, or raise up your mining level to level 15.

Speak to Johanhus Ulsbrecht, He’ll tell you - He can’t release Jimmy because he has value to H.A.M. because he’s related to Fred, a farmer who they want to blackmail to get food for their clan. He’ll want some chickens in exchange for Jimmy’s release… so agree and head over to Fred.

So talk to Fred the Farmer of Lumbridge and tell him the situation and he’ll tell you he doesn’t have enough chickens for the month. He’ll tell you that Seth has a lot of chickens though. So Go on the road to Varrock INSIDE lumbridge and stop at the farm on the way to speak to Seth.

Speak to Seth Groats, He’ll agree and tell you to go to Horvik to get them smithed, BUT he’ll ask you a favour, to give Horvik 3 Steel Bars that he owes Horvik. So head to varrock…

Speak to Horvik, and pay off Seth’s debt of 3 steel bars to him.. but he’ll start coughing! He’ll tell you he needs some Herbal tincture and Breathing Salts before he can fix the cages! He always says it’d be easier to altar 5 existing pigeon cages from Ardougne.

Head Southwest and talk to the Apothecary, He’ll give you the Herbal Tincture, but he’ll drop the Breathing Salts. He’ll ask you to go to Tassie Slipcast of Barbarian Village.

Head West to Barbarian Village, and Speak to Tassie Slipcast. She says she will not make you an airtight pot until you deal with a loanshark named Hammerspike in the Dwarven Mines who gave her a loan to pay for her place…

So go to the Dwarven Mines northwest and.. in the Western part of the Mines you’ll find Hammerspike and his gang. Speak to Hammerspike.. and He’ll eventually tell you.. He wants to be druid and asks you, to ask Sanfew if he’ll take him under his wing.

So head to Taverly and Speak to Sanfew, upstairs of the Herbal Store. Sanfew agrees to intiating Hammerspike, if you give the Gnome Pilot atop of White Wolf Mountain an herbal tea and persaude the Gnome to fly Sanfew down to Feldip Hills.

How to make Guthix’s Rest(Herbal Tea): Heat up Water in a bowl, then pour it into an empty teacup. Add 1 harralander, 2 guam and 1 marrentil…

Head to the Gnome Pilot of White Wolf Mountain and give him the Herbal Tea.. He’ll agree to taking Sanfew there, but only if he can get there in record time. He’ll ask you to go to Catherby and speak to Arhein for special lightweight but strong ropes named T.R.A.S.H.

So walk over to Catherby and speak to Arhein by the Docks. He’ll say he’ll get you some T.R.A.S.H. if you get him a foresight for a weather report from the seer named Phantuwti so that his ship doesn’t sink.

Go to Seer’s Village and Speak to Phantuwti and He’ll say he cannnot make a prediction until he knows this young girl is safe. He sees that she’s in a smelly cave, This cave is by the Fishing guild and it’s full of goblins.

Head Southwest into the Goblin Cave and in an Eastern Corridor, a sequence will start where you find a girl trapped in the wall.. Search the Sculpture and it’ll give you the impression that you need to go to Wizard Cromperty of East Ardougne.

Speak to Wizard Cromperty of East Ardougne. He tells you he can free the girl if you get Iron Oxide from the Tindel Marchant in Port Khazard.

Head south of Ardougne to Port Khazard and speak to the Tindel Marchant. He’ll give you the Iron Oxide… if you do him one small favour! He wants a nice matress to sleep on! He’ll ask you to go to Rantz, south of Yanille, To get it filled with feathers.

Go to Rantz, south of Yanille, Southeast of Gu’tanoth and speak to him and he’ll tell you of someone nearby making loud noises, so that he can’t catch chompies..

Head west and speak to Gnormadium Avlafrim. Tell him Rantz told you to help with the construction. He’ll tell you there’s something wrong with the lights, either buy a chisel off Gnormadium or bring one with you. Search the Gnome Landing Lights and get the gem, Cut it and put it back on the light. You have to do that for all 8 Landing Lights.
Note: If you accidentally crush a Jade, Red Topaz or Opal; Speak to Gnormadium Avlafrim and he’ll sell you a new one for 500 Coins.

Once you fixed them talk to Gnormadium and he’ll turn the lights on and you can go back to Rantz.

Go back to Rantz and tell him you helped the Gnome and he won’t bother him anymore. He’ll fix Tindel’s mattress!

Go back to Tindel of Port Khazard and give him the comfy mattress! He’ll give you iron oxide in return!

Go back to Wizard Cromperty of East Ardougne and give him the iron oxide! In return He’ll give you the Rock Animate Spell to free Petri!

Warning: Be prepared for a fight with a level 92 Slagilith.

Go back to the Goblin Cave and read the spell by the girl, and a level-92 Slagilith will appear, kill it - it’ll drop an addy ore, ruby and diamond and then read the spell again to free the girl.

Go back to Seer’s Village and Speak to Phantuwti, He’ll give you some problems, but just keep talking to him and he’ll eventually tell you that there’s a weather vane on the top of his roof that needs fixing. Head up the ladder and take the ladder up after that by the Spinning Wheel. While on the roof, use the hammer with the vane then search it to get the 3 parts… Then fix them at the anvils with a Bronze Bar for the Ornament, an Iron Bar for the Pillar and a Steel Bar for the Directionals. Go back up to the roof and fix them into place. When you’re done he’ll give you a forecast(Read it if you want a laugh… All that work for nothing… )

Go back to Arhein of Catherby and give him the report. He’s disappointed with the report but says he’ll send the T.R.A.S.H. to the Gnome Pilot right away.

Go back to the Gnome Pilot of White Wolf Mountain and ask if he’s gotten his T.R.A.S.H. - He’ll tell you the good news and that he’ll take Sanfew to the Ogre area.

Go back to Sanfew of Taverly and tell him that the Gnome Pilot will take him to the Ogres. He’ll tell you the good news and that he’ll take Hammerspike as an intiate.

Go back to Hammerspike of the Dwarven Mines and tell him that Sanfew will take him in as his initiate. He’ll tell you the bad news! That he rather be a gangster dwarf! His men attack you! You have to defeat these thugs, and then tell him to leave Tassie alone!

Go back to Tassie of Barbarian Village and tell her that Hammerspike won’t be bothering her anymore.. She’ll teach you how to make pot lids and give you a piece of soft clay, make a pot lid on the wheel then fire it up. Use the pot lid on a pot to get an Airtight Pot.

Go back to the Apothecary of Varrock and give him the airtight pot, He’ll in return fill it with Breating salts.

Go back to Horvik of Varrock and give him the Herbal Tincture, Breating Salts and 5 Pigeon Cages. He’ll in return give you 5 Chicken Cages.

Making History Quest

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Quests

Start Point: Head west along the northern wall of West Ardougne until you reach the Outpost.
Skill Requirements: Level 20 Crafting, Level 40 Smithing, Level 7 Magic
Quest Requirements: Must have completed the Priest In Peril Quest and The Restless Ghost Quest
Items Required: Ghostspeak Amulet (from the priest in the swamps south of Lumbridge; obtained while doing The Restless Ghost quest), Spade, Strung Sapphire Amulet
Items Recommended: A few Ardougne Teleport Runes (2 Water, 2 Law Runes per Teleport), a Ring of Dueling, the Ectophial (from the Ghosts Ahoy quest), a few ecto-tokens if you have not done the Ghosts Ahoy quest, and an Enchanted Lyre (from The Fremennik Trials quest)

Speak to Jorral located inside the Outpost, he will begin to ramble on about this “great building” which you are standing in. Then he will tell you of the terrible news that King Lathas is attempting to tear down the outpost to make room for his alchemists’ lab.

He asks you to help in making the outpost a museum because of all the history that occurred there. He tells you that there are three people that may help vouch for the outpost’s historical significance. A small cut scene will occur throwing out brief facts about the Outpost.

Upon asking him about each one, he will explain to you where they are located and some historical background that they have with the outpost. The trader in Ardougne’s name is Erin. He is a silver trader located in East Ardougne. Jorral informs you that his grandfather used to reside in the outpost and he must know something important about it. The ghost in Port Phasmatys’ name is Droalak who moans about losing his life to the outpost. The warrior in Relleka’s name is Dron who is always on the lookout for new ways to improve his combat skills and techniques. He studies facts about wars and Jorral claims that the outpost has been involved some war. He mentions that Dron is not the easiest person to talk to and tells you to speak to his brother, Blanin, first.

Erin the trader

If you have 2 Water and 2 Law Runes, use them to teleport to Ardougne.

Erin is located next to the Silver Stall in East Ardougne. You will ask him his name and then tell him the news about what is going to happen to the outpost. He is outraged at the thought because his Grandfather lived and died there but does not know much about it. He gives you an Enchanted Key but he has no clue what it unlocks. The Enchanted Key becomes “warmer” the nearer you are to the area you’re aiming to find, and “colder” when you go further away from it.

The area is just south of the Observatory. It is easier to teleport to the Castle Wars Arena and run North over the two bridges. When you arrive at the location, be sure to have the spade in your inventory. When you feel the key it will say that it is steaming and the object must be located just under your feet. When you dig, you will uncover a chest. Use the enchanted key on the chest and you will receive Drozal’s Journal. Read the journal and it turns out that Erin’s grandfather was a follower of Zamorak who will live in the outpost with eight others. They cause havoc in Ardougne and soon become wanted as criminals in Ardougne after everyone realizes what they have been doing to the townsfolk. The book ends with mentioning Ardougne’s army sending a letter to Drozal telling them that “Their days are numbered.”

Head back to Jorral and show him the journal.

He mentions that there were Zamorak followers that lived in the outpost at some point but were stopped by some force that he does not know of because the book does not detail the event.

Droalak the ghost

Empty your Ectophial (if you have it) and head to Port Phasmatys.

Once in the port, head to the southe-eastern corner, near the General Shop, and speak to Droalak. He will tell you that he died in the outpost. He left his wife to go live in the outpost and promised her that he would return. Unfortunately, he died and she still will not accept his apologies. He mentions that he has a scroll that describes the timeline of the outpost but first, you need to do a favor for him. He wants you to tie things up with him and his wife, Melina. He asks you to bring her a strung Sapphire Amulet because that is what he gave her the day he left.

Speak to Melina and she will at first, be reluctant to try and forgive Droalak. You will tell her that he asked you to bring her a Sapphire Amulet and she will mention that he remembered what he gave her the day he left. She asks you to tell him that she forgives him. After she tells you, she disappears, finally feeling complete.

Tell Droalak that Melina forgives him and he will give you the Timeline of the Ardougne Outpost Scroll. He then asks you to come back and tell him if the scroll was of any use after you have shown Jorral. Read it and it explains what has happened in the past several hundred years at the outpost. Head back to the outpost and inform Jorral of the scroll.

When you give Jorral the scroll, he will read it and explain that there was a great battle at the outpost, one of the survivors became king, and the other started a market place.

Dron the warrior

If you have an Enchanted Lyre, it will be easier to teleport to Rellekka rather than going to Camelot. Make sure you speak to Dron’s brother Blanin first.

Blanin is located just east of the Relleka pub. When you speak with him, you will ask about his brother. He will tell you that he is a very secretive man and will only talk to you if you know him very well…and I mean very well. He says that you must be very firm and do not tell him that Blanin sent you. Here are some of the things you must remember in case he asks you:

- He wields an iron mace in battle
- Eats rats for breakfast, kittens for lunch and bunnies for tea
- His favourite drink is red spider blood
- He is 36 years, 8 months and 21 days old
- He studies famous battles of the Forth and Fifth ages
- He lives on the North East side of town
- He has a pet cat named Fluffy

Next, walk a little way north-west towards the helm shop.

When you speak to Dron, tell him that you after important answers. Then, when he asks you where you heard from him, tell him that he is the famous warrior Dron. He will then quiz you on everything that Blanin told you. Make sure you see the answers above. At the end he asked me a bogus question of what’s 5 plus 7. If you do not know what the answer is, you might have problems. He makes himself sound foolish by mentioning that it is 13.

After you have passed his test, he mentions that he remembers reading a story of two ex-friends that led their forces to the outpost that ended up with the two of them pitted at the top of the outpost as the only survivors due to their strength. He mentions that one had chosen the path of Saradomin, while the other chose the path of Zamorak. He mentions that they realized the wasted time they spent fighting and decided to both unite under Guthix.

Head back to Jorral and inform him of the news. He will finally understand the story and relate it to you:

He mentions that many years ago there were two friends that became bitter enemies over their difference of opinion in religion. One of them chose to dedicate his life to Zamorak and the other Saradomin. The Zamorak leader and his group of men moved into the outpost and took up refuge behind its walls to prepare to wreak havoc among the citizens of Ardougne.

The townsfolk called upon the Saradomin followers which happened to be led by the other friend who chose Saradomin. The battle took place at the outpost and ended up with the two men struggling on top of the roof. They realized that they were the only ones left that had survived the bloody battle. At once, the realized their mistakes and made peace with one another once more.

One of them decided to become King and spread the word of equality while the other started up a market where all could trade their wears equally and fairly. The one that decided to become the king is the Grandfather of King Lathas.

After he explains the story, he plans to write out the details you have provided him in a more digest manor, along with his plans for using the building as a museum. He will ask you to deliver a letter to King Lathas. If you do not know where King Lathas is (you should), he is located on the second floor of the castle on the west side of the river in Ardougne.

Saving the outpost

Give King Lathas the letter and he will be astonished the place had any value at all. He will ask you to take another letter back to Jorral with his response. Head back to Jorral and give him the letter.

In a fade-out, the old outpost becomes a museum. Take a look around at all the items. Also, make sure to read the books on the bookshelf because some of them have your name written in them telling your tale.

Congratulations! Quest Complete!

Rewards: 3 Quest Points, 1000 Prayer Experience, 1000 Crafting Experience, 750GP, ability to use the Enchanted Key all over RuneScape.

Enchanted Key: After you have completed the quest, you have a choice to search for the three mjolnirs. These are wooden staves with the symbol of their respective god on the top. To obtain these items, you must do the exact same thing that was done to locate Drozal’s Journal. Do not expect to get a mjolnir every time you dig. You will get other items such as ores, runes, and arrows. Once you get all three mjolnirs, your Enchanted Key will dissolve. These items are tradable.

Smithing

Posted by: cool  //  Category: Beginners' Guide

Smithing is the art of turning metal bars into armour or weapons. It is a free to play skill so that means that everyone that plays RuneScape can do it. As you gain a higher smithing level, you are able to make higher-level armour and weaponry. If you achieve a high smithing level you may never have to buy armour again. You can also make good money from having a high smithing level. You can even make a profit from a relatively low smithing level.

This guide will teach you all of the different methods of smithing and what are the best to smith at each level. It will show you what the fastest smithing experience is and what is the cheapest. It will also tell you how to make money from smithing and it will compare all the different available materials and help you decide what the best for you to use is.

——————————————————————————–

2.0 - Basics of Smithing
To start smithing, you will obviously need some metal ore to work with. The best way to obtain these ores is through mining rocks around RuneScape. For more information, visit the Mining skill guide. Another way to get ores is though buying them from other players. Keep in mind though that this can become very expensive. You can also buy ores and bars from the shop in the Dwarven Mines.

There are two parts to smithing. The first part is turning the ores into metal bars and the second art being turning the bars into metal creations.

2.1 - Smelting
To get a bar you need to smelt ores together in furnaces, which are marked by the icon on the minimap. Simply use one of the ores in you inventory on the furnace and a metal bar will be produced. If you are making a large number of bars, there is a much easier method. Right click on the furnace and select the ‘Smelt’ option which will bring up a number of bar options. Then by right clicking on the options you can select how many of each bar you would like to make. Remember that you still need to have all the right ores in your inventory.

There are many furnaces located all over RuneScape. Below is only a list of the popular furnace locations; however you can discover more on the RuneScape world map.

» Al-Kharid

2.2 - Smithing
Now to turn your bars into useable armour or weapons you’ll need a hammer which can be bought from all general stores. When you have your metal bars and a hammer, find an anvil, which is indicated by the icon on the minimap. Use one of your metal bars on it. This will bring up a menu of the items you can make. By right-clicking on the options you can select how many you would like to make. Upon selection you will begin making your chosen weapon, armour, or item.
Below is a list of the popular anvil locations around RuneScape. Varrock is by far the best location.
