Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Quests

Starting location: House north-east of Baxtorian Falls, speak with Almera.
Quest difficulty level: Medium.
Reward: Around 14,400 attack exp, 17,200 strength exp, 2 gold bars, 2 cut diamonds and 40 mith seeds.
Quest points gained: 1.
Required Skills: Be able to fight level 86 fire giants.
Required Items: Six of air, earth and water runes. Also need a few ropes. You can get ropes from Ned in Draynor Village, or from Arheln at his boat in Catherbury.
Monsters: Shadow spiders (level 52), Fire giants (level 86)
NPC: Almera (House north-east of Baxtorian Falls), Hudan (Western side of the river), Hadley (House south-east of Baxtorian Falls).

WATERFALL QUEST WALKTHROUGH
After talking to Almera, head around to the back of her house and board the raft there. It will take you towards the waterfall, but crash half way there. You should now see a little boy named Hudan. Talk with him, use your rope on the rock on the next island downstream which has the option “Swim to”. After that, use your rope on the dead tree on the island and you should end up at the door to the waterfall. Don鈥檛 enter it yet or you will take damage.
Jump in the barrel and you will be taken off the waterfall. Enter the house just north of where the barrel took you and talk with Hadley. After that go upstairs and search the bookcase to find the book named “Book on Baxtorian”. Read it and talk with Hadley again. After that you will have to go to the gnome maze and down the ladder just before the entrance to the Gnome Village. Go to the east and you will find a lot of crates and boxes, search them and you will find a key.
*X* When you have the key, go west and open the jail door. Inside you will find a little gnome, talk with him and he will drop a lot of junk. You will search it and find a pebble, ask if you can keep it. Now bank all of your armour and weapons and go back to Hadley’s house, go up to the grave a little north-east of there. Use the pebble on the tombstone and you will be taken down into the tomb. Go west and open the chest there, search it and you will find Glarials Amulet.
Note: You will not be able to enter the tomb if you have any armour or weapons on you.
Now take the southern path and search the tomb there. You will find an urn, exit the tomb again and go to the bank. Get out the runes, rope and whatever you will need to fight level 93 fire giants etc (keep the urn and amulet), and head back to the waterfall. Once again board the raft and use your rope on the rock, then your rope on the dead tree. But this time, wear the amulet and enter the waterfall. There will be 3 paths, one going east, one directly north and one west.
Note: Shadow Spiders drain half your prayer points.
Firstly go east and you will end up in a room with a lot of crates. Search them and you will find a key. Now go to the western path and enter the room with Fire Giants, go all the way north and use your key on the door to open it, now pick up the key on the floor and go through the next door. You will now be in a room with 6 pillars, use one air, one water and one earth rune on each of them, and then use your amulet on the Statue of Glarial. Use your urn with the Chalice and you will have completed the quest.

Runescape SHILO VILLAGE QUEST STRATEGY

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Runescape Quests

Starting location: To start the quest go to the far south end of Karamaja. You will have to fight your way through jungle spiders, jogres, snakes and monkeys! Cross the slippery log and the stepping stones. Talk to Mosol Rei. He will say Rashiliyia, the queen of the dead, has returned.
Quest difficulty level: Hard.
Reward: 3,915 Crafting exp.
Quest points gained: 2.
Required Skills: Level 32 agility, level 20 crafting and must have completed jungle potion quest.
Introduction: This quest has lots of bad things that seem to want you dead… so I would strongly recommend you bring armour and food. Also bring a spade (which can be found in Draynor Mansion) bring a rope and a lit candle or torch (you can buy these at the general store by Trufitus).

Trufitus: Go to Trufitus with the wampum belt that Mosol rei gave you then tell him that you’ll help find the temple.
The temple: Go to the east side of the island and walk south along the coast till you find a log. Cross it and continue southward. To the west you should see a collection of rocks and a mound of earth. Dig there with your spade. You’ll discover a fissure. Use your candle on the fissure (it will burn out) then use the rope on it and climb down. Work your way past a few undead ones till you see a “cave in”. Search it then wiggle into it. Search the ‘loose rocks’ at the first corner and you will get a scroll. Now go down further and you will find some sacks. Search these and get another scroll. Right at the end of the tunnel you find some gallows, search it and you receive some remains. There are two ways to get out, either go back to where the broken table is and make a raft from it or go to the end of the path and click on the rocks. Now go back to Trufitus.
Trufitus: Use the scrolls and remains on him. Then read the scrolls yourself. Now go to the statue near Trufitus hut and bury the remains. A ghost will pop up - listen to him and he will give you a bone shard. Go back and tell Trufitus that you buried the remains, he will then tell you about a tomb you have to find.
Tomb of Bervirius: Trufitus will tell you about a tomb that lies south west of his hut. Go there. You’ll have to climb up a rock cliff and cross a rope bridge to get to an island. Go down the side and search the rocks. Once you’ve climbed in go to the back of the room and search the table. Here you will find the hilt to a sword and a locating crystal. Search it again to find a blue scroll. Climb the rocks and return to Trufitus. Use the items you have found on him and he’ll tell you to make a bronze necklace.
Necklace: To make the necklace go to the general store north of the anvil and buy a chisel, bronze bar, hammer. Use chisel on the pummbel to get beads. Use the bronze bar on the anvil and make bronze wire. Use the beads with the wire to make beads of the dead.
Tomb of Rashillya: Go across the slippery log once more. Once you get off the log go north, there you will fine some bright palm trees, search them to find a doorway (make sure you are wearing the beads of the dead) once you reveal the doors you need to use the bone shard on them… it will say it does not fit, now you can use your chisel on the bone shard to get the bone key. Use the key on the door and enter (make sure you have armour and food) go through the gate and climb down the rocks. Get ready to run… keep going west until you find tomb doors. Kill a few zombies and skeletons to get 3 bones. Use them all on the door then open it. Be prepared to fight a level 91, 68 and 93. Look at the tomb dolmen and the ground will shake. You have to fight 3 consecutive battles. After you defeat them all Rashillya’s bones will appear on the table. Take them.
Quest completion: Take the remains to Trufitus and he tells you to look over your artefacts. Take the remains to the tomb of Bervirius and set Rashillya’s bones on the tomb dolmen.

83 Mining

——————————————————————————–
Introduction

Mining Rune Ore is perhaps one of the best ways of making money in RuneScape, with an experienced miner being able to bring in 1 million gp in just 3 hours.
This guide will focus on Mining Rune at the Wilderness Rune Mine, as it is the only place in which Free players may mine Rune, and because the other sites are easy enough to mine at anyway.

Recommended Levels

To begin this profitable venture, you will need a few levels to begin with. These are

83+ Mining (Required): Although you need 85 mining to mine Rune, it is possible to do so before. To do this, you will need either a Dwarven stout, which increases your Mining and Smithing Levels by 1, or a mature Dwarven Stout which does so by 2.
It is however strongly recommended that you get 85 mining. This is because it will make things much simpler, as you will not need to take up inventory space by carrying the stouts, they can be hard to buy, and the time that they last is unpredictable.

High Combat Level (Recommended): It is recommended that you have fairly high combat stats, due to the fact that the Rune Rocks are surrounded by level 34 spiders, and due to the fact that they are located in around level 54 Wilderness, you will be able to be attacked by most Revenants; and such you will need to defend yourself.

39+ Prayer (Recommended): It is highly recommended that you have at least 39 prayer so that you may use the prayer protect from magic- although having 43 so that you can use all the protect prayers is preferred.

High Agility (Recommended and members only)- If you are a member, then it is highly recommended that you raise your agility level to at least 30. This will not take to long, and you will most definitely notice the difference. This is because you will be doing a fair amount of running whilst mining rune- be it to the bank, or from Revenants, and you will find the extra energy extremely useful.

Recommended Equipment

You will need the right gear if you want to mine rune successfully. Below are some recommended set ups, but you may add and remove items depending on your budget and levels.

An example of some good equipment. You should change items depending on your levels, and if you are a member or not.

Set up 1- Free to Play

Head- Wizards Hat
Torso- Best d’hide body you can wear
Legs- Best d’hide chaps you can wear
Shield- Anti dragon fire shield
Weapon- Rune Pickaxe
Gloves- Leather Gloves
Amulet- Amulet of defence or Holy Symbol

Set up 2- Members

Head- farseer helm, wizards hat
Torso- Best d’hide body you can wear
Legs- Best d’hide chaps you can wear
Shield- Elemental or Mind Shield
Weapon- Rune Pickaxe
Gloves- Forthity Bracelet
Amulet- Glory Amulet, Amulet of Defence or Holy Symbol

Both of these set ups provide good magic defence, which is what a revenant will usually attack with first, whilst still remaining cheap.

Recommended Inventory

An example of a good inventory.

Around 5 Tuna fish or lobsters: Tuna is recommended, as it is extremely cheap, whilst it still heals a good amount (10hp). Those who are new to rune mining, or with low combat levels may want to take lobsters or swordfish.

3 Cakes: Although they only heal 4hp per bite, in total cake heals 12hp whilst still being cheap. It is recommended that you eat these when not in immediate danger as not to waste money on more expensive fish.

Anti Poison (members): In members worlds, Revenants will often poison you in 50+ Wilderness. There is a chance that you will be teleported here if using Obelisks to travel, and such to prevent an early trip to the bank, it is recommended that you take 1 anti poison potion.

Prayer Potion (members): You will often pray a lot if you encounter Revenants, and such you may save yourself a trip to the altar by carrying 1 prayer potion.

Travel and Location

It is not easy reaching these rare rocks, however with these tricks your journey should be slightly less treacherous.

From Edgeville or Varrock: This is the most dangerous route, and the only one open to free players. You simply walk to the rocks from either Edgville or Varrock.

Skills Necklace (members only): Members may use a Games Necklace to teleport to either Bounty Hunter or Clan Wars. You may then either use teleport obelisks, or walk to the Rune rocks.

Ancient Magiks Spells (members only): several spells from the Ancient Magiks spellbook will teleport you near the Rune rocks; these are-

- Dareeyak teleport;78 magic- The ruins
- Carrallangar teleport; 84 magic- The Graveyard
- Annakarl teleport; 90 magic- The Demonic Ruins
- Ghorrock teleport; 96 magic- The Ice Plateau

Teleport Obelisks (members only): There are several Teleport Obelisks scattered across the Wilderess. If you teleport using one of these, then you will be randomly sent to another. There is one outside bounty hunter, and anther just west of the Rune rocks, meaning that you can reach them easily.

- Green line: Using Teleport Obelisks
- Pink line: Dareeyak teleport
- White line: Carrallangar teleport
- Blue line: Annakarl teleport
- Peach line: Ghorrock teleport
- Black line: from Varrock
- Brown line: from Edgeville

Whilst Mining

Whilst mining, there are several things you should check you have done.

Sound: Make sure that you have the sound effects turned UP. This way you can hear a Revenants magic attack, and such run and use the correct protection prayers straight away.

Auto Attack: You should also have this turned OFF. That way you will not run towards any attacking Revenants.

Run: Have this turned ON, whilst mining, so that you can run from attacking Revenants straight away.

You should also keep an eye on your mini map, and your camera angle low, so that you can see Revenants, and run from them at quickly at possible.

Banking

You should not bank with a full inventory of Rune. This will mean that you cannot run for long, and if you die you will lose a lot of money. You should also make sure that you have some food left.
There are several ways that you can bank your Rune.

Bounty Hunter: This is probably the best way, as it is close by. Members may use Teleport Obelisks, and teleport right outside, whilst free players will have to walk.

Mage Arena (members only): This is the second best method, but is not recommended as you will have to walk around high levelled wilderness, which is a hotspot for Revenants.

- Green line: Using teleport obelisks
- Peach line: Mage arena

Revenants

Throughout this guide, I have mentioned Revenants several times. For those who are not familiar with them, they are dangerous ghosts that replaced Pking. They can hit up to 30 often, and could leave even the most experienced of players dead before they know what’s hit them.
They will usually use there magic attack first, but can use all styles of combat and will change depending on what protection prayer you use.
Such it is advised that you take plenty of food whilst mining, and only items that you are willing to lose.

Grave Stones

Mining Rune is a dangerous past time, and such you will most probably die at some point. When this happens, you will leave behind a gravestone. These last for a few minutes, and if you reach it in time you will receive all of your items back. You can purchase new gravestones from the church in Lumbridge, whilst members may also purchase more once they have finished the drunken dwarf quest.

Tips and Tricks

- The higher your mining level, the faster you will mine Rune.
- Revenants will usually use their Magic attack first; turn your sound up and learn to recognise it so that you may use protect prayers and run straight away.
- If you die, you can still get your items back; but you will need to get to the place that you died at within a few minutes.

World Hopping

As Rune ore takes so long to respawn, it is reccomended that you world hop. It is a good idea to pick around 5 worlds and cycle through them, so that you will be there when the ore spawns.
