Runescape Strength Guide

What Does Strength Do?

Strength is a very valuable skill used in Melee combat. The higher your Strength, the higher you will hit during combat. It’s for this reason that most PKers have a very high Strength compared to their other stats. There are also some pieces of equipment that require you to have a certain amount of Strength to wield.

Training Strength

By clicking on the Attack Styles icon (the one with the crossing swords), you’ll be able to choose between the different kinds of attacks you can use with your currently equipped weapon. To train your Strength, you’ll want to choose the β€œAggressive” style from the menu.

Each time you inflict one damage point on your opponent, you’ll earn 4 Strength experience. You can also use the β€œControlled” method of some weapons to train all of your melee skills (attack, defense and strength) and earn 1.3 experience to each.

In the picture below, the box is accessible by clicking the Equipment icon (right of the inventory icon), which allows you to equip and unequip items. The β€œShow Equipment Stats” will pop-up the box you see is in the picture. It will contain what you’re wearing, an enlarged picture of yourself, and your stats. Strength bonus is located under β€œOther bonuses”. The higher that number is, the more damage you will deal in combat.

Boosting Your Strength

There are a number of ways to temporarily boost your Strength.

Potions - There are a few potions in RuneScape that will give you a generous strength boost
Drinks - Several alcoholic beverages will increase your strength level for a short time.
Prayers - 3 Prayers exist that will allow you to inflict extra damage in battle.
Special Attacks - Some special attacks will increase your strength greatly when used.
All of these methods will be described later on in this guide.

How to Get the Skull Scepter in RuneScape

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Uncategorized

The Skull Scepter, also known as the Skull Sceptre, is a very valuable item in Runescape. It allows you to teleport to Barbarian Village five times, and many people do not have it! Here’s how to get the Skull Scepter!

  1. Create an Account in RuneScape if you do not already have one.
  2. Train your account to at least a combat level of 60. You must be able to kill level 75 ankous.

Right Skull Half

  1. Stock up on food. You will need it unless you are a very High level player. (Combat Level 110+)
  2. Go to Barbarian Village.
  3. Look at the center of the Village. There will be a hole there.
  4. Click on the hole and you character will walk to it and climb down. You will come to a dark cave with a pair of doors and a portal at the South East corner. Welcome to the Stronghold of Security!
  5. Click on the first door and you will pass through. The second door though, will ask you a question regarding Player Security.
  6. Answer the Question correctly to pass through. If you get it wrong, it will keep asking you questions until you get one right. There will be doors like these everywhere in the Stronghold of Security.
  7. Go down until you see another door. Do not pass through this door.
  8. Look for the pair of doors to the right of your character (or left if your character is facing South).
  9. Go through the doors. You will see some level 12 minotaurs. Kill them until you get the Right Skull Half.

Bottom of Scepter

  1. Go back to the start and use the portal there if you can use it. If not, follow the instructions below.
  2. Go through the Doors to the North.
  3. Walk to the other side of the room you come into. Go through those doors.
  4. Walk North East until you see more doors. Go through those doors.
  5. Walk to the Southern Doors. Go through them. You will come to the treasure room. If you search the Gift of Peace at the center, you will receive 2,000 coins and the ability to do the Flap emote.
  6. Go down the ladder on the West side of the room. You will come to the second level of the Stronghold of Security. There will be another portal in the South West Corner.
  7. Go through the doors on the West side of the room.
  8. Go south, but do not go through the doors. There will be Flesh Crawlers there.
  9. Kill Flesh Crawlers until they drop the Bottom of Scepter.

Top of Scepter

  1. Go back to the portal and use it if you can use it. If not, follow these instructions.
  2. Go through the North West doors.
  3. Walk West until you see another pair of doors. Go through them.
  4. Walk West again after you go through the previous doors until you see more doors. Go through those doors.
  5. Keep Walking West until you come to a room with zombies.
  6. Start Walking South. Keep Following the path until you find a pair of doors. Go through them.
  7. Go through the doors to your Right. This will take you to the Treasure Room on the Second Level.
  8. Search the Grain of Plenty at the center of the room if you would like 3,000 coins and the Slap Head emote.
  9. Go down the ladder in the South West corner. This will take you to level three of the Stronghold of Security. You will arrive in a green room with a portal in the North West corner.
  10. Walk through the doors to the North.
  11. Go through the doors to your immediate Left after that. This will take you to a room full of Catablepons and Giant Spiders.
  12. Walk to the South of the room. The Catablepons will be there. Kill Catablepons until they drop the Top of Scepter. The Catablepons will use Weakening spells on you. You might want to bring Strength Potions.

Left Skull Half

  1. Go back to the start of Floor Three and use the portal if you can use it. If not, read the following steps.
  2. Go through the doors to the East.
  3. Go through the doors to the immediate North, not the North East ones.
  4. Walk through the doors to the North West of the room you come into. Go through the pair of doors right after the pair you just went through.
  5. Follow the path and go into the Treasure room of Floor Three.
  6. Search the Box of Health at the center if you would like 5,000 coins and the Idea emote.
  7. Go down the ladder at the North East Corner. This will take you to the Fourth and final floor of the Stronghold of Security. The portal is at the South East corner of the room.
  8. Go through the North doors and walk North West until the first pair of doors you see. Go through those doors. There will be level 75 Ankous waiting for you.
  9. Kill Ankous until they drop the Left Skull Half.

Making The Skull Scepter

  1. Take the Right Skull Half and the Left Skull Half and use them on each other. This will create the Strange Skull.
  2. Take the Bottom of Scepter and the Top of Scepter you got from the Flesh Crawlers and use them on each other. This will create the Runed Scepter.
  3. Take the Strange Skull and the Runed Scepter and use them on each other. Congratulations! You have gotten the Skull Scepter!
  • Deposit your peices of the Scepter in the bank after you get them. That way, in case you die, you won’t have to start over from scratch.
  • Restock on food when you run out of food killing monsters.
  • On the First level in the Starting room, there will be a Dead Explorer in the South part of the room. Search the Dead explorer and you will find the Stronghold Notes. This is a book that tells about the Stronghold of Security.
  • You might want to bring Strength Potions with you on the Catablepon part, as they use Weakening spells, which lower your strength level.
  • To open the Gift of Peace,Grain of Plenty, and Box of Health, you need to set recovery questions.
  • If you have been spending a long time to get the sceptre and you want to keep the sceptre. Then i suggest you don’t press the invoke option unless you want to teleport to barbarian village. You can teleport to barbarian village 5 times. To check how much more times you can teleport click the divine option.

Do not bring High Value items with you while getting the Skull Scepter. You might die and lose your items! (Examples of High Value Items: Trimmed Armor, Partyhats, Santa Hats etc.) You can bring armor that is 200,000 coins or below though. If you do die. Try to get there as fast as possible, due to the gravestone update. If you wish: you might want to upgrade your gravestone to the best one as possible.

Runescape Level 99 Ranging How to Guide

Posted by: cow  //  Category: Uncategorized

Getting to level 99 in Runescape is not impossible nor is it a hard task, ranging is just time consuming. This guide will explain a simple and easy way for Runescape p2p members to achieve this goal. I can not give an approximate length of time on how long it will take to get to level 99 ranging due to several factors like not everyone plays the same amount of time. Just like anything else the more you work at it the faster, easier and more rewarding it becomes.

Keep in mind that getting to level 99 can be very monotonous and one can become bored and even burn out on the task at hand. Make sure you take breaks from ranging and do something else that way you don’t become very bored with it and not want to do it anymore. Pace yourself and it will pay off.

From level one ranging to level twenty you will need a plain short bow an oak short bow and a willow short bow. The reason I say short bow and not long bow is because of he speed difference. When both the long bow and short bow are on rapid the short bow shoots the arrows at a speedier rate. You will also need bronze arrows. Yes bronze and lots of them. Bronze arrows are the cheapest arrow in the game. You do not need to worry about the expensive arrows until a much higher ranging level is acquired.

Now for the monsters! This is where the task becomes repetitive. You need to kill the men and women and the goblins in and around lumbridge until you are range level twenty. When you reach level 5 ranging you can switch to the oak short bow. At level 20 you can start to use the willow short bow. A money saving tip is to retrieve your arrows once you have killed a monster. It may take a few more seconds between kills but its well worth it because of the money you will save.

From level twenty to level forty you will need lots of bronze arrows. You will also need your willow short bow, a maple short bow and a yew short bow. The monsters to train on are the level 10 dwarfs that are between Falador and Varrock. You can still train on the men and women if you prefer to. Once you get to level thirty you can use the willow short bow. When you hit level 40 switch to the yew short bow.

Runescape Agility

Posted by: cool  //  Category: Beginners' Guide

Agility is one of those skills in Runescape that are very hard and long to train, but are worth ever second of it in the send because it has so many uses. Agility is a members only skill so you will not be able to use this skill innless you are members. Agility is very important in the game of Runescape because with it your run energy will respond faster making you run for longer periods of time, you will also save time with Agility because you can go through shortcuts with certain levels of agility.

Now that you know a little bit about Agility your probably wondering how you train Agility, There are nine places where you can train Agility and these are called Courses. The nine courses are, The Gnome Sronghold Course [level 1], The Brimhaven Agilty Arena [level 1], The Skullball Game [level 25], The Agility Pyramid [level 30], The Penguin Course [level 30], The Barbarian Outpost Course [level 35], The Ape Atoll Course [level 48], The Wilderness Course [level 52], The Werewolf Course [level 60], and the Dorgesh-Kaan Course[level 70].

Now that you know where to train, you’re probably wondering when to train at each one of the courses. Well in this section I will be giving you a step buy step process of the fastest way to get to 99 Agility.

1 - 40: Train on the Gnome Stronghold Course all the way up to level 40, I know you can do the Barbarian Outpost at level 35 and yes that is a good course, but you will fail the obstacles a lot, so its best to wait until level 40.

40 - 52: Now train on the Barbarian Outpost, this course is good because you wonÒ€ℒt fail much at this high of levels and you get great experience.

52 - 99: For the rest of the levels the best place to train is in the Wilderness Agilty Arena, this place may be unsafe, but if you do it on a low level world and don’t bring and good items then you won’t loose anything.

Tip: While training try and only wear things that make you weigh less, for example, Boots of Lightness, Spotted Capes, and Spottier Capes.

Here is a list of all the shortcuts you can do with Agility
